  1. Badger Industries I have decided to record my interplanetary missions, documenting them using pictures. My first mission here will be the third time I have left Kerbin's SOI and the first time to leave it in my new save. My goal is to keep this save alive for as long as possible (thank goodness for the announcement of 1.0, hopefully no more mod/game breaking updates), and visit every body in the Kerbol system to some capacity. Also, I plan to return every Kerbal at some point (even if they are stranded on Eve for a couple of years). Special Thanks to Brotoro, who's mission reports are not only well written, but have taught me about planetary transfers. Ship Manifest Andromeda The Andromeda is the first interplanetary ship in Badger Industries Fleet. She has nearly 6,000 delta-v without a payload, and can carry entire sections of bases to Duna or Eve. The Andromeda has been equipped with Autonomous operating units, so that she can return in the event of the loss of her pilot. There are plans to send her to Dres as well. She has been built to accommodate 5 crew members, which could be extended with an extra module (added to the payload bay). DataBase Andromeda 1: Andromeda 1 Departure

  5. I LOVE them all: Offset for all those spaceplane parts Rotation for stupid landing gear misalignments Root for putting ships together in different craft saves and moving them together using sub-assemblies
  6. Harvestr stated in the devnote Tuesday that kerbals will now (hopefully) be able to clamber up ledges that they can reach, allowing them to scale some spacecraft. That got me thinking, could you make... Kerbal Parkour???!!!???

  9. There is a Stock-Alike Drag Fix Mod (who's creator I cannot recall) which simulates drag as it should, but leaves the aerodynamics relatively untouched. Maybe the plan on integrating something like that?

  12. That helps alot! Thanks. Also, I built a rover with a spent decoupler plate on it. It would often lean to that side in lower gravity.
  13. I have been pondering the gameplay mechanics of decouplers. I have built an asymmetric vessel, that has a spent decoupler on one side. The other part of the decoupler is on a probe it launched somewhere on the Mun. I am wondering how the weight of these sections is distributed. Is the weight divided evenly to the 2 parts? Does only 1 section have all the weight? Is the weight distributed according to the size of the decoupler parts? If you are wondering what I mean by 2 "parts" a decoupler, when it detaches, leaves a small section on the surface it detached from and a larger section on the surface it was detaching.
  14. Suddenly, I have an urge to learn how to mod and create one that allows you to choose which body other than Kerbol and Jool you want KSC to be at (science nerfed accordingly).

  16. Agreed. I think there may still be some useful experiments that will come out of it, but ISS has done its job. We now know alot about zero-g then we ever have (especially long-term effects on plants, humans, etc.)
  17. I have been using this flag for some time now (it's my friends Halo clan insignia pasted onto a white background). It is... a work of art. I was wondering if someone would like to fix her up like this (as I am terrible with photoshop): -smooth out rough edges on picture (aka better picture resolution) -give it a black background, fading to grey near the edges of the flag

  19. Finished my first space-station in my .90 save: Christened "Sion" it will serve as a refueling station for interplanetary ships. I also plan on using it as a waypoint from LKO to a Low-Munar-Orbit (LMO) station for spaceplanes. The Sion is pictured here as its first crew arrives (for a 200 day term).
  20. I checked that too, and I was in radial. But: I verified the integrity of my cache (through steam) and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  21. I have built asparagus rockets many times so placing fuel lines is nothing new to me. Today, when I tried to launch a newly created rocket, the fuel lines were not connected (even though they were in the VAB). I reverted to the VAB and they were not connected. I rebuilt the launcher and the same thing happened. I then reloaded the game (2 times) and stopped using open-gl, yet none of those fixed it. I went to a ship that had fuel lines previously attached and launched it, and the ship had fuel lines attached. None of this makes any sense to me.   22. Nereid (who made final frontier) made a mod called S.A.V.E. that creates a backup in any location you choose (the cloud, for example) and lets you choose the # of backups you keep and the rate at which the game backs up. Although its nearly impossible to kill the Kraken, he caged it.
