Eve is a pretty menace. Duna does not have as much of a draw (as eve's coloration has no irl counterpart) but is far safer and easier to do large-scale manned operations from. I do enjoy sending space probes though, often destined for Gilly.

A friend gave me the demo through a USB (a pirated demo! ) and 2 weeks later it went on sale on steam. I used the rest of my steam wallet and sold a strange tf2 weapon to buy it. Totally worth it.

12 just had a big party on my Mun base. They also launched some fireworks, which turned out to be their escape pods in the event of an emergency. -sigh-

Not sure if this is the right forum, as it is not entirely a support issue. I have a career game that I just got back into. My big three other than Jeb, Bill and Bob (Gusster, Harhat and Malney) are all scientists. I was wondering if anyone knows how to change their roles. I searched the persistance.sfs and could not find any obvious way to change it.

My smaller craft are named after atomic and subatomic particles: "Photon 1" or "Neutrino 1", and my interplanetary ships are named after stars (there is currently only one: Andromeda). My bases and stations are named after roman-kerbal God sounding names: Centaurus, Sion.

Go to jool and land on it's moons. Maybe even for Jool-5.

Those images/cargo values help. Its about 20,000 funds cheaper to send something that large to LKO onboard a rocket than a shuttle. Thanks for the help! I still will try to build a cheap shuttle though

You're explanation does help, but has anyone calculated the amount it costs to launch say, 2 tons with the rockets/fuel/boosters of a space-shuttle-like vehicle vs a rocket? (in other words, only the boosters and rockets and fuel tanks off of a space shuttle, not the wings/cockpit/cargo bays)

I have just started toying around with the new STS-Alike parts. I was wondering how good they are compared to normal rockets. The real STS was far less efficient, and a normal rocket could carry just as much cargo for a cheaper price. Does this apply to KSP or can they be made to be better than rockets?

Greenpeace has never used very good tactics at making people like their opinions. I remember they tried using Lego sets that are oil-themed (gas trucks from lego city) and wrote the song "Everything's Not Awesome". They riled up the whole Lego community (young and old including myself) and were taken off youtube for copywrite violations. Not very surprised they would do this either. Do they face a fine?

I tried this out on Steam (.90). The screen kept flashing back and forth between a black screen (which was the ksp window) and my desktop. I had to force shutdown to stop the cycle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I started playing way after maneuver nodes were implemented. I am excited for the new challenge.

I wouldn't be suprised if the modding community made one for the time being. Squad will get it done soontm I'm sure.

I use a handy latin system for naming geographical features. For example: I have named the plains at the Mun's highlands "Planitus Annoying" because I always seem to land there in career mode instead of the craters.

RPM has worked very well for me. When I installed vessel viewer though, it slowed down my machine a ton.
