  1. I agree this isn't the place but the issues for are far more than just a missing field exception. I have all the proper mods installed and I get this in the VAB. Puffing smoke out of the fairings. The ISS problems are nodes, null exceptions, the Docking ports dont exactly work properly. The PMA especially doesn't work. It needs a complete overhaul to work properly. Plus if I try to launch I get this error.
  2. I guess that has to do with the new 1.0 heating? Or Deadly Reentry is a required mod for the Soyuz so the thermal blankets color change wont work. The soyuz just needs a proper 1.02 overhaul. I am not saying it doesn't work but functioning and working properly are two different things. In other news I took the most recent update for a spin. Bad News: The aerodynamics are ehhh. Takeing off is much harder than it was in past iterations. It gets into space but it seems like I was fighting it the whole time. In space I can't imagine controlling it well enough to perform a rendevous and docking. It doesn't fly very well in space either. Maybe stronger reaction wheels I imagine that could help for take off and landing as well. Reentry was actually ok it was flying in the atmosphere that really I had a lot of trouble. I tried both my way of landing and followed the instructions on the first page. It was extremely difficult both ways. I still experience quite a lot of "feathering". This is all probably just me because I watched the videos on the front page and it seems like someone knows how to fly this shuttle so maybe it will jus take alot of practice. Good News: Everything looks good. I have no more complaints about the look of the shuttle. I just miss the proper texture switches but you are fixing that so that should be all good soon. Overall well done. This mod is really rising like a phoenix.
  3. He's not making iss parts. He's fixing the community pack.
  4. It's not updated for 1.02 yet. The engines are probably overpowered, the fairings obviously won't work. I am just gonna go and assume there are node problems. Heat shielding working with the new heating system. Tech tree intergration etc.
  5. The truss system is really buggy. Especially the solar arrays and the zarya solar panels are buggy. The large solar arrays throw game crashing amounts of null references. Plus to launch pirs and poisk properly we need a functioning Soyuz.
  6. J He said he's gonna work on fixing bobcats iss community pack.
  7. I don't exactly think he is saying it's easy to code something. It think what he was trying to say is that for a company such as squad it would be something they could definitely do, not easily but as a gaming company it's something should know how to do. Also with the track record squad has of recruiting modders could have easily requested help from the cloud mod makers. Again I'm not saying the coding is easy I saying it would have been easy to ask for help. Furthermore I think the other point is that to have a game about sending rockets and flying into space, consideration should have been made environment and atmospherics. At least not a "1.0+" game. Something like stock clouds should be in game.
  8. I agree, I like the new single piece. However I would miss the texture switch.
  9. If you could do that would be amazing. Especially since the CSS is being worked on so extensively so well. It would be nice to have something to launch into orbit with the new shuttle.
  10. woah woah woah lets take a step back here! Jovzin youre model is too beautiful to just scrap. Maybe the changes that Mike has made can be applied to yours. Instead of have having Dragon do the cfg for it why not just let Mike do it. I know I am being presumptuous mike but have you seen Jovzins model? Its beautiful. The imbedded rcs, the radiators on the cargo doors, the landing gear, the toggleable et ports. You guys just need to work together. I and many other people have been saying for weeks now that the both of you should work together. So for goodness sake please PM each other and work together on the orbiter. It will be great for the community.
  11. Oh no don't say it's easy. The iss pack has been plagued with problems for as long as I have been playing ksp. I would t enter into updating that so easily. The doing ports don't work, the solar panels are broken and go nuts. The trusses throw out infinite amounts of null references. It's a Pandora's box.
  12. Although it's a nitpick but it's kinda bigger than say a pink ring. Could you make the parachutes come out under the tail not the top of the tail?
  13. Agreed you have come so far so quickly, make sure everything is right and then release it when you are ready.
  14. I know this is completely and utterly futile. However! It has been quite a while since you decided to end your work on SRI. KSP has changed quite a lot since then. When I joined the forums I checked it pretty infrequently but when I saw the SRI thread, that was the beginning of my constant checking of the forums. It was the first thread that I subscribed to and the first I began to look forward to. So I am making a plea for the entire forum! Please come back, please continue the wonderful work you started on SRI. We are in desperate need of new an unique mods. Everything is stockalike or replicas. Nothing to very few mods are truly unique! If they are unique chances are they are useless. I know it might be inappropriate to beg here let alone at all for your return. I am breaking etiquette rules by posting off topic on this thread and posting on a thread that has been inactive for quite sometime. So one last time, please bring back SRI!!
  15. Its a very good stockalike replica. Its not gonna blow anyones mind realism or excitement but still its very nice. Well done!
  16. No it isn't Yosemite. It is definitely Squad. There are a ton memory leaks in general but compound that by there being even more for Mac users it really isn't Yosemite. I was running a ton of mods on Yosemite way back in the .24 days. It wasn't that long ago but I had almost no crashes and I built huge things. I built a station from Armageddon with KSO shuttles and KW rocketry. Slight lag but there were a lot of parts on the station but definitely no crashes. At least not every half hour like it is not with the 1.02 update.
  17. I built the Russian space station from Armageddon. I wish I could still play like that. I made that station when there weren't so many memory leaks for Macs. I ran KW, KSO, and a bunch more with little to no problem. Now I can barely run KW and without the game crashing every 30 minutes. *sigh!*
  18. I don't know anything about coding. However a new feature is that some solar panels don't retract. Maybe look to see how that works.
  19. A one piece orbiter will be incredible for memory. Especially if and when the ISS pack gets updated. Less pieces equals less lag.
  20. I love everything in this pack however I am not really find of the heat shield textures. Someone posted a way to get rid of the textures but for the life of me i can't find it on this thread. If someone could post it again I would really appreciate it. No offense to Ven but the stock heat shields are one of the the few things I actually prefer over Vens.
  21. Im with you on the clipping but NASA has been putting important things inside of things well since the beginning of the space program. I for one think its unrealistic to radially attach batteries around a manned space craft. So I use the tools to push them inside the tanks. So moving the landing gear a little inside to make it looks better. No that shouldn't be a problem - - - Updated - - - This is what I picture when see people posting about Konquest now. Alexustas is working hard on Konquest I assume and he hasn't released it because it isn't perfect yet. When he finally releases it, most likely it will be a defining pack that everyone simply must have. So patience! Anyway this is what I picture.
  22. I actually read the book knowing he was gonna be Watney and picturing him as Watney really wasn't bad. So I'm cautiously optimistic. On to the helmets, the helmets from interstellar were not goofy and you saw the whole actors face.
