Is there a way to increase a Kerbals rank?
Curveball Anders replied to Crazy Kerbal 's topic in KSP1 Discussion
There are some "training" mods, or just hack the save file (for Windoze users KML is a good way for the latter). -
Given that they've stated that the 'ground anchor' was delayed for that reason I think we can conclude that your guess is very valid.

Curveball Anders replied to Spaceman.Spiff's topic in KSP1 Discussion
No. X-Plane for instance allows for build from scratch, with actually correct aerodynamics. -
I actually removed a couple of no longer needed mods for 1.12.

As a matter of fact, I don't. We already have X-Plane, FlightGear and many others. No offense, but that's already been done. -

How do I update to 1.12?
Curveball Anders replied to LHACK4142's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
There has been patches sometimes, but it depends on how much changes there are. I'd say that the best way to update to a new version is to make a copy of your working install, and then install the new download over that copy. That way you original is safe and you can always use that if there's an issue with the new one. Once you're sure that the new version works nicely then you can erase the old one if low on disk. -

Yes. That's one of the big worries for console devs. How to utilize the power of newer consoles without rejecting the majority of console owners. -

Because there's a lot of people who doesn't want to buy new consoles over and over again. So by only targeting the latest version you lock out a significant part of the potential market. -
Well, one would expect that their site doesn't have unlimited bandwidth ... It will sort itself out, and 1.12.1 has already been confirmed

Downloaded, installed and quick launch test completed. Now I'll go to bed and tomorrow it's Midsummer's eve and I'm Swedish so I better stay away from KSP (don't drink and fly, unless it's EvE). But on Saturday, probably not very early, I'll start tinkering. Thanks Squad

Erh, wait, how can you do another job while still updating 34257 different mods? Wasn't all those 'time bender' thingies from Harry Potter destroyed or locked away?
