  1. ...you can cook dinner on your PC due to the overheating of your CPU during launch.
  2. Not really. There are funny parts here and there, but I've seen less than 10 episodes, maybe less than 5.
  3. I don't clip and even go one step further - I don't let retractable parts pass through other parts during the mission. Such as solar panels or landing gear passing through other parts. I do however allow parachutes to clip when deployed, but I look at that as a rendering issue as opposed to a construction and physics issue. However, lights or batteries, or other things rotated to be inside hollow parts (large reaction wheel, girders, adapters) isn't clipping in my book, because, well, they are hollow, and they aren't occupying the same space.
  4. You can get away with the final stage being that little. But prior to that you're in trouble.
  5. If using mechjeb and departing from sea level, 12k is enough. Set the turn start at 30km, the turn end at 95-97km and a turn profile of 70%. I have under 12k on my Eve ascent vehicles from sea level. Click on my Eve ascents in my signature, and you can see the dV and TWR on each stage.
  6. The only thing I use 3.75m parts for is lifting something over 100t. Other than that I stick with the smaller. I don't see myself using 5m parts. I have no opinion on whether they should or shouldn't be in.
  7. Comedy is even more subjective. I find Airplane to be almost completely unwatchable.
  8. Either my eyes are going bad, or it's in the first 15 seconds of the clip.
  9. The only height term I am aware off the top of my head that has to do with height above the ground is TCH - Threshold crossing height. That's the altitude you cross the threshold at if flying an ILS, and that's usually listed in feet AGL. Everything else is altitude and elevation. MSL and AGL on all the charts. To answer the question, the technical term is "height." Although on my plane that can vary depending how much air I have in the front strut.
  10. Dump em all. Then again, I only use KER, KAC, MJ.
  11. Sounds like he's well on his way to having a successful future in politics.
  12. The Martians are easily startled, but they'll soon be back, and in greater numbers.
  13. I use that all the time, I do wish it had about 25x better resolution though. 1° slope on 1 pixel, and 18° one pixel over. Yipes!
  14. If the humanoid aliens only have bronze age technology, how in the (insert string of cussing here) are they INVADING Mars? This is a worse premise than Sharktopus vs Pteracuda.
  15. There's a reason trailers don't attach to the front of cars.
  16. Looks like he went from 400m to 1m instantaneously, and there's a circle of black void where the surface should be.
  17. I don't use gravity assists at all. Why? It's bad enough I have to wait for Eve to come into position just to go there. I'm not waiting around for Eve to come into position with Kerbin AND have it be in position to go from Eve to Jool. I don't bother with it in the Joolian system either. It's easier to aerobrake off Jool to intercept whichever moon you are heading for.
  18. More importantly, how do you keep that thing from tipping over? I can never find a level enough place to land something that top heavy.
  19. If you are in orbit around the Mun you cannot set Mun as your target. If you are in orbit around Kerbin, select Mun as your target, and then Hohmann transfer under maneuver planner. Once in the Muns SOI, under maneuver planner change your periapsis to something like 20km 0s from now. Then under maneuver planner circularize orbit at the next periapsis. Once in orbit around the Mun under Landing Guidance, select pick target on map, and after selecting click Land at Target. You will want to pick a spot at least 1/2 an orbit ahead of your current position. If already in orbit around the Mun just do the above starting at Landing Guidance
  20. Good rule of thumb: Screen shot of each stage showing vessel info and dV remaining. Screen shot of anything "significant". Circularizing burn, transfer burn, Jeb doin his thing on the surface, etc... I probably go overboard in my documentation, but see my signature for a guideline.
  21. Use it when leaving Eve. Otherwise, onion.
  22. Your vehicle may be too tall, and might end up tipping over if you don't get a really flat spot to land. Look at the two Eve adventures in my signature for some "squattier" ideas.
