  1. Can you add me to the maintainers list? I'll try not to misread my calendar again.
  2. Really nice! I've got an Apollo in the works too. (After I finish my big pile of other stuff to do)
  3. Most of the rockets are 3.75m, but yes the first one is a bit small. New episode! Crew and co launches to Duna. Crew Vehicle is the first one to burn to Duna, so it'll end up there last. The TWR is a mere 0.20, burn took a decent while. Next to go is the Hab Module with the precious supplies of snacks and nuts and bolts. (Bill was recently released from the Kerbin Mental Asylum on the grounds they let him eat bolts.) The nukes went pretty darn hot midburn since there are no radiators on the Nerva tugs. After that went the DDV and Rover. The rover is a really tough design with monoprop engines and a rollcage to protect the solar panels. The DAV went next, but I forgot to take screenshots. Silly me. A little inbetween the burns to Duna, I launched a small ion probe headed for Jool. Due in about 2 years. Next episode- Duna arrival. Would you guys prefer updates with more content but further spaced apart, or updates with a bit less content but posted more frequently?
  4. Who are you to decide this, I hear you asking, and here's the answer: No one. I was not elected, I just decided to do it. If you're unhappy with my decision, we can work something out. This is just my opinion, since there's no objective way to judge "Quality" of crafts. If anyone feels that their craft is missed because of any kind of time-zone difference, or any kind of difference in when spacecraft fridays is put up, tell me. If your craft is really good and was made before, and someone posts in it within that week, then it will be considered. Just to clarify, I am not encouraging necros for the sake of bumping your craft. Okay, without further ado, I present this week's finest creations! BZT X34 LandSpeeder by PointySideUp PointySideUp has built a cute little flying version of the X-34 landspeeder from Star Wars! Be sure not to spill your blue milk while in flight. Sabertooth II SSTO by Starwhip Starwhip has built a really neat looking SSTO that can fly payloads to High Kerbin Orbit withing a MK2 bay. A joy to fly as well! Apollo LEM Replica by Bubbladevlin I didn't really test this one due to my computer crapping out on me, but I did have a good look at how the thing was put together. Bubbladevlin has really done some outstanding work! W900 by DrMarlboro DrMarlboro has made a high part count, but amazing looking W900 replica! Comes with a (IR and Tweakscale) trailer too. Sorry for the late release, I had an accident with a time machine and a clock.
  5. Okay. I confused now. Wait, has the previous week's SCF been released already? or was I supposed to do it?
  6. New episode! The mission plane includes a DAV that rides unmanned down to Duna's surface with enough dV to do a straight Kerbin return, a tough rover and a descent vehicle that takes 3 kerbals down along with some cargo a Hab with some supplies onboard. The equipment is duly launched into orbit. The DAV has a set of small fins on the top that makes it reenter the right way up, as it's top heavy. Next and final launch is the Crew Vehicle that transports the crew of the Original 3 to Duna. It's a one-way trip for the ship, so it can afford to carry supplies. Next episode- Flight to Duna. (200 day long board game session.)
  7. So I decided the pace of my previous mission report was going too damm slow, and decided to start another one instead. Our story (or Wernher's, really) starts again with a single very tough probe headed for Duna, in prep for a kerb'ed landing. Launched aboard a hacked together launcher, the Iris I blasts off into the midday sun. With a TWR of 2.5 on launch, the probe quickly clears the upper stratosphere and flies off to Duna. No, the engineers " can't be bothered with no damn aeroshell". 200 days later, Iris I comes out of hibe. Mission Control opted to do a close flyby of Ike, skimming no more than 10 km at one point. In the words of Wernher, "becuze vhy not?" After aerobraking into LDO (the Ike flyby didn't do much to trajectory) the probe is set down on some flat terrain, the future landing spot of the Expedition One fleet. Landing site: Safe- check Flat, nice terrain- check Awesomeness- oh dear. Fire that intern. Next episode: Duna Ascender and co. launched into orbit.
  8. So. Mini Star Destroyer, perfect gift for Christmas/ hunting down Rebel Scum without risking the lives of precious stormtroopers! 100 parts. Fuel cell has to be manually activated- it's embedded in the bridge bit. Download
  9. I think it's possible to get roids in the VAB/SPH by finding the cfg and editing it's category, but that's wholly different from this.
  10. You can use the size 1 bay as a very ghetto command pod that's light. It's possible to cram two kerbals into one small service bay and have them survive reentry with a chute attached.
  11. If you have excess amounts of torque maybe try using the HECS/OKTO core as a reaction wheel? Not very powerful but it won't wobble.
  12. Finished both landers, it's 500 parts just for one lander/aeroshell, and I'd like to do a side by side mission by BurnTogether, so yeah not yet.
  13. Welp, haven't posted in a bit. 2 Standard Tugs were launched into orbit. It's based off my old 0.90 designs that worked reasonably well, probably enough to take 18 tons or so to Duna and back. These tugs will form the backbone of the 1st Duna Exploration Fleet. ISRU rig launched to Minmus as well. Not much to say here, aside that Camp Minmus is now self sustaining. Next episode: Duna mission hardware and Minmus mission hardware being sent up
