  1. That's one...interestingly shaped vessel. How well does it fly?
  2. This is what I've been working on, a stock-as-usual Voyage-style Duna mission, inspired by seeing @Nittany Tiger, *rseferino from Youtube , @winged and @Chris P. Bacon. I originally aimed to keep the whole stack under 400 parts, but it looks like my computer will be frying as the MEM alone is 200 parts, and the transfer stage is somewhere around that. Not to mention that I don't have a working Saturn V yet, which will complicate things. I also aimed to keep the MEM/Hab/CSM stack under 80 tons, but I didn't expect the Hab to be a whopping 60 tons alone, so I have that to deal with as well. Here's some eyecandy:
  3. O_O What kind of FPS do you get with that many planes?
  4. O_O What kind of FPS do you get with that many planes?
  5. Finishing a build is so satisfying though Rebuilt my R-7 family from scratch. Soyuz now has only 500 ish parts on the pad as compared to 700 parts for previous version North American MEM:
  6. Rebuilt my Minmus SSTO, now with enough fuel to get there and back and even do a detour to the Mun (without landing though)
  7. Built a new shuttle. I'm happy with how the wings turned out, but the thing is ridiculously unstable because I angled them... Had to resort to SAS spam inside the shuttle to (somewhat) stablilize it. Any suggestions?
  8. I do believe you are looking for @KerrMü Also those screenshots are beautiful, do you edit them?
  9. This was quite a while ago, I was a lot more hasty in designing things and besides they were pretty low part count anyways, at least in comparison to the monsters I enjoy building nowadays. But yeah I see what you mean. Why not use the structural intake for the wing oil radiator? The Yak-3's ones aren't that big.
  10. I built this little two-seater biplane so I could have something to goof around in when I'm bored It has decent range, enough to fly to the Island Airfield in and get back with fuel to spare. It's a little nose heavy, but the flaps are slightly angled to offset this. Otherwise it's more or less a pretty stable thing. You may notice that there are no control surfaces on the wings. There are a couple of small elevons clipped into the fuselage, because the stock control surface that fits the biplane shape is ugly. Also I built a little control panel in the cockpit Yes, I did get inspiration from Majorjim. Download http://imgur.com/gallery/mmbPW This is why Jeb has had his barnstorming license revoked..
  11. So far I haven't noticed any real COM/COT problems, it does want to spin around a little bit but the two centres are close enough to prevent trouble, the SAS is enough to handle the imbalance. There is some RCS fuel in the tanks in case anything like Apollo 10 happens.
  12. Built a new LM from scratch, inspired by Majorjim's replica. ESA Vega. The RT-10s are really inefficient and don't have enough oomph to hit orbit. A new Proton rocket. Slightly redid the Apollo CSM. A big mining rig on Minmus.
  13. I built a small spaceliner able to carry 4 kerbals into LKO with fuel for docking. Also made a fuel tanker, bus and mobile staircase to ensure it's true reusability! It's extremely stable on ascent, requiring not much input from the "pilot". Hits orbit with about 600m/s dV left over. Reentry is easy as well, nothing burns up. Fuel tanker claws onto the liner and refuels it.. ..While it's refueling it also tows the plane back to it's starting point. Fully fueled, the engines are started for a second run. Went for an inclined orbit to try landing at the Island Airfield. Due to a less efficient ascent, I made orbit with only 300 m/s to spare. You may notice there's a MJ panel there that wasn't there first ascent, during the refueling I got an engineer to stick it on via KIS.
  14. 3 seater SSTO which has slightly over 1700 dV on orbit. Juuust enough to get to Minmus and back (0.0 LF left over!)
  15. WIP Tycho Brahe from Copenhagen Suborbitals Delta IV Heavy. Needs more work especially on second stage This thing has been consuming most of my KSP time recently. A mothership capable of ferrying ~140 tons to Jool and back in it's cargo bays, for a reasonable 165 part count. Unfortunately, refueling operations will take forever, since it launches pretty much empty, it has the equivalent of many MK3 LF tanks and my tanker only has 1 big LF tank. Sigh
  16. Stream concluded, it appears HTV6's launch has been successful!
  17. The launch is in about an hour! It's an unmanned resupply cargo spacecraft, due for ISS docking. It carries several small satellites as well, to be deployed from ISS.
  18. Apologies people, new updates will probably arrive less frequently because I'm busy on life and some other KSP projects.
  19. A little shuttle I made as a side project. Carries small payloads to LKO.
  20. My apologies, I did not actually upload the Luna 2 pics along with the Luna 1 album http://imgur.com/gallery/ApgwB
  21. That big shiny golden color probe core came in helpful for me.
  22. You're not supposed to directly upload images from your computer, upload it to image sharing sites like Imgur, Photobucket or Flickr etc and posts the links here so we can see it
  23. That Titan II looks awesome! I like how you went for full detail with the black stripes on it.
  24. Pioneer Thor-Able The Pioneer Thor-Able probe series was the first US attempt at reaching the moon. Launched atop a Thor-Able, it was intended to be a lunar orbiter. However, all 3 launch attempts failed. Album http://imgur.com/gallery/HNO7m
