  2. Hmm it looks like table with reactors and thermal engines are bit outdated. In game 2.5m reactors with second upgrade and hydrogen powered thermal turbojet have different resulting ISP'S: Also it seems to have small glitches when calculating thrust.

  4. Well looks like plasma engine doesn't have throttle. And thermal receiver with thermal generator can transfer sane amount of energy unlike other types of microwave receivers - I have TW energy worth microwave transmitters.

  6. Apparently RCS don't scale up thrust, when making them bigger with tweak scale. Its still ~8 kN per RCS thruster (ran powered and on hydrazine) Edit: And make to seek for most common gas in atmospheres - Venus has CO2, Titan has Methane and so on as most common gas in lower exosphere. Nitrogen is good when orbiting Earth.
  7. Well but my 5m mothership with like 2500 tons of hydrazine can do just fine using thermal engine It has ISP of 9700 so its as efficient as low end electrical engines, if not more. So it should let me use only thermal engines, if they have sufficiently high ISP. And what about ISRUs running on unloaded ships? It could just run at speed, that is in equiblirum of resource gathering. For example if I collect 20kg/h of X and Y, then ISRU shouldn't just turn off but produce stuff at 20kg/h - it could be calculated like TAC life support does. Unless there is way to do timewarp of 10000x on lower orbit.
  8. 2 bugs: ISRU doesn't work when unfocused, and apparently you need electric engine to collect resources while ship is unloaded.
  9. Now it all works all correctly. While 400 ISP isn't a lot, you use RCS only when docking I used RCS aid to put 5 directional RCS (2x4 - 4 in front and 4 as far as you can on back - I placed it on VASMIR engine ). Max translation acceleration is 0.1 G and max torque is 500 kN m I upscaled it to 0.75m - for 1.25m SSTO is this even bit too much, but that making docking quick when employing mechjeb to dock it.
  10. I had that mod instelled, CKAN updated it to 4.2 Maybe this was what broke it?
  11. My VASMIR SSTO broke Vasmir engine keeps firing as it was on, it defaulted to hydrogen and can't switch fuel. Also RCS doesn't have menu I updated FAR too... hmmm
  12. butbutbut these four is my favorite - I don't let them die unlike others lol. Letting them (regural kerbals) outside on surface of Venus, hurling them at Sun and tropping them in atmosphere of Jupiter is fun lol
  13. I tested Vasmir if it can work in Venus in lower atmosphere. It can't Getting hoogilan labs so I can go into planets with dense atmospheres

  17. I don't have your mod - its deadly reentry mod fault, and I have latest version of Interstellar Yes, just don't turn too sharply while flying fast. Edit: wings turn red when these temp gauges show up.
  18. I overhauled my spaceplane. In highest efficiency mode it can have 80k DV - I think its enough to go anywhere and return even with RSS.
  19. Hmm or you could completely scrap ISRU refineries and have tweakscale stock ISRU with interstellar capabilities. Drill could be used for mining resources from surface/ocean Mod ISRU refineries stil could be here, but be hidden in career and if possible in sandbox too for backward compability.
  20. Well that still would be slightly too slow (10.55 production vs 11.87 consumption), it would be nice if it matched exactly, just like peroxide production. It needs to be 5.63x faster - it would consume 112.6 MW - make it 120 MW consumption instead so it would be nice round number. So basically 5.63x faster and 120 MW consumption.
  21. idk, these values sounds arbitrary as duck, so ammonia production could be bumped up. It seems like these values are around collection speed of these materials just above atmosphere - I have 8 400% big radial air scoops. Each pair collects nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor and hydrogen.

I have that in my toolbar, I thought I don't need it for thermal engine lol Edit: Can be Peroxide/Ammonia production readjusted, so it would be produced fast enough to supply Hydrazine production? Peroxide process process uses 11.87 mT/hour of Ammonia and 5.76 mT/hour of Peroxide. But other ISRU's can produce only 2.11 mT/hour of Ammonia and 5.761 mT/hour of Peroxide. So Ammonia production should be upscaled accordingly like to 11.871 mT/hour Also I set radiatiors so their max temp would be below 2750 degrees, but still I can't run at full thrust. There I setup radiators so they would be in green for gas core reactor. I have deadly reentry BTW
  23. Well there were no exceptions. BTW how much radiators I would need to prewents engines from overheating?

I have 4 refineries because I can't run 4 processes for hydrazine (one for production of fuel, 2 for making half products for peroxide process and fourth for recycling water) at once in one refinery. BTW is that lag I described normal thing? Heres my specs: Intel Core i3 3220 - 3.3 Ghz. 8 GB DDR 3 ram. Nvidia GTX 550 Ti and Windows 7 64 bit Edit: Radial tanks doesn't have peroxide mode. Also I needed to set max temperature of thermal turbojet to 3500 kelvins, as otherwise this explodes, if I burn hydrazine at 100% - I have 5m antimatter reactor attached to it.
