How to get highest TWR possible from quantum plasma thruster? -
When this mod will be compatible with CRP? My interstellar scoops aren't working.
-
Looks like this mod isn't compatible with RSS - Interstellar atmospheric scoop won't work, as names of planets were changed
-
All parts mods I have are USI mods, KSP Interstellar Extended and Hoogilan Labs. Can I use these along with RO?

Guys if your thermal turbojets/vistas overheat it may be because of deadly reentry - this mod is incompatible with it. -

I did test of magnetic nozzle for smallest and largest rocket. All parts from smallest rocket were upscaled to 5m size rocket except USI SAS, that has 2400 kN*m torque. Small rocket (1.25m parts): DV at 1/3 full thrust: 111km/s 11.2km/s TWR: 1.25 3.91 Large rocket (5m parts): DV at 1/3 full thrust: 154km/s 14.6km/s TWR: 1.56 5.02 So big rocket variant is more efficient than smaller one. -

Heat destroyed it after several seconds. I used procedual heat shield. Maybe it wasn't compatible with your mod. It weights around 200 tons. I tested if it can do reentry on retrograde orbit around jool. I suspect Jools atmosphere should end on 300km mark not 200km. I tested reentry with much smaller craft and much shallower entry. Looks like heavier vehicles with higher entry velocities will net Periaris of >190 km.- 5,919 replies

Fusion has 4 different modes and some nuclear reactors have 2 modes, can you list how much they produce thermal energy and charged particles? -

Well I used antimatter reactors. If I used nuclear reactors I would have to make smaller rockets -

Hmm nice. Looks like magnetic nozzles are 10x weaker than thermal thrusters. 70 km/s delta-v - Thermal Hydrazine, 12 km/s - magnetic nozzle at full throttle and 100 kn/s at 33%. Heres my new shiny rocket. -

I added water for 30k more delta v So looks like thermals are good for setting up antimatter factories with their TWR. What does arc-jet do? I will get more delta-v than thermal turbojet? Edit way less DV and way more thrust. It destroyed small (1.25m) rocket and couldn't get 5k d/v for large rocket (5m). Edit: these rockets would be better with realism overhaul as tens km/s delta-v is possible here Are all things that I found out like CO2/Ammonia/Hydrazine best for plasma thrusters and same hydrazine best for thermal engines regardless upgrades and reactors? Or different stuff is better at lower tech and weaker reactors? Edit: I redesigned my rocket. Now I have 70km/s of delta-v from hydrazine (around 770 ton, while entire rocket weights 1300 tons) and 100 km/s delta-v from 120 tons of hydrogen at full throttle of magnetic nozzles. Looks like I shouldn't use nozzles until I don't use all hydrazine I ditched plasma engine as its energy hog. It uses one antimatter reactor and one AIM reactor, which is waay lighter and a thermal generator. -

Hydrazine is best fuel for thermal turbojet - got 70km/s of delta-v. And it doesn't produce soot. BTW soot production seems to be independent from throttle >.> 5 meter rocket. 1.25 meter rocket. 2x less DV. -

;^) So this is like: Thermal Turbojet for launching from Earth/Eve, Quantum Vacuum for entering/exiting orbits, Magnetic Nozzlee for landing/launching from airless bodies and slowing down after warp and warp drive for interplanetary cruises, right? Here is magnetic nozzle rocket: It weights 280 tons. Antimatter reactor weights nice 128 tons -

So by that you mean I should build orbital factory to make this rocket in space? I still have to build lander for it BTW - for now I have this launcher. I wanted to have plasma vacuum thruster too not just magnetic nozzles. -

Plasma only - 15 parts. And only 840 tons. Plasma with 4 magnetic boosters - 45 parts and 1200 tons. I think I do something wrong. I add 4 3.75m side boosters to 5m rocket with 3 antimatter reactors (2 to support plasma and 1 to support 4 magnetic nozzles) Where I can get procedual adapter, and how I can make it more efficient? Edit: I had this installed, now it weights only 900 tons and has around 20 parts. But ISRU doesn't work for me There is nice 1 G acceleration at 2/3 of thrust. -

What reactor does fully support equivalent size of magnetic nozzle? These 5 meter nozzle uses only 15GW of power. -

Hmm but these need hydrogen - its not densest of fuels. I tested all 7 fuels, that plasma engine uses. I used largest fuel tank for 1.25 meter space plane with 2 antimatter reactors. If I used different reactors and fuel tanks then numbers would change, but still these fuels would be here. CO2, Hydrazine and Ammonia give you almost same delta V of 20 km/s (CO2 was highest with 20400 m/s) Most TWR is from CO2 - 3.25 Hydrogen has ISP of 33k. Least delta V was from hydrogen - 6400 m/s. Least TWR was from hydrogen - 0.87 Least ISP was from CO2 - 7.3k So use CO2/Ammonia/Hydrazine with plasma thrusters. -

So I can squeeze more delta-v from single tank? Here is sundive trip: -

I made hyper heavy launcher - it could launch copy of itself into space! I used 2 5m antimatter reactors and 2 charged particles generators and plasma thruster. It needs SAS from USI - cargo transportation. This is what you can make with end game tech of KSPI. -
Will RO have Firesplitter on beginning of tech tree and USI/Interstellar Extended at mid/end game?

Well quantum thruster uses no fuel in space. Is difference between earlier two that one has higher ISP at lower throttle and other not? -

Imma try this new plasma truster. Also these 5 meter SAS from Usi are very useful here. Is there scaled up version of RCS here? Apparently I can't use magneto dynamic plasma thruster, as I have quantum vacuum thruster. What it does? and what is difference between 2 old plasma thrusters and this one?
