  1. Naw naw, I was talking about the Kopernicus Expansion add-on. The creator, also a firend of mine, said that he has planetary clouds and under-ice-sheet oceans, on his list! - - - Updated - - - Oh and with a tiny bit of luck here's some more things in the next version: Subterranian ocean under Daphy's surface, accesible trough crevasses. A new moon around keelong, apparently booring, but trough a north-pole hole, gives access to a molten core. Also, if I get enough experience, we may alsl get small Krackens in Daphy's oceans, with specific AI. They will want to follw your submarines... >

  4. Welp, that was the scope... trying to kake the dwarf planets more interesting but I don't have any ideas... we already have 2 dwarf planets rotating around a barycenter.
  5. Eh I gotta complain to the other part of the comunity, the grumpy one whk would say *THIS PLANET IS RIDICULOUS, TO MANY COLORS! I DON'T WANT IT! OPM IS BETTER! THOSE FARMS ARE COOL, BUT AREN'T REALISTIC! OH THE LAVA TEXTURES! WHY CAN'T THIS SICKER MAKE THEM TILE LIKE IN OPM?*
  6. Well, they should generate science normaly and have blank/default description but no biome-specific things for now, since Olympic1 is working on that part of the update. We will merge branches when I finish the moons and finish tweaking and testing and fixing and updating and tweaking the rest of the current planet. Cheers! Also, I reealy need to improve existing planets because there already is a new GP2 unreleased mod, that looks many times better that this. New things on checklist: Make Sarvin's rings HD and more complex and beautiful; make custom HD terrain textures (now Daphy will have smooth fluff and ice terrain textures; make all planet look better overaly, tweak orbits so they look appropiately to original GP2, remake some of the existing dwarf planets to be less boring; make texture packs for multiple performances: Low-1024x512, Medium-2048x4096, Hight-4096x2048. Groundscatter everywhere. Finish the farms on Kerbin [i still have to finish The textures cuz right now the farms appear pich black and they are too big (as big as the VAB)]

  8. Yep... now working on a new, white oblate moon. The Keelon system will be as interesting and jnique as the rest of the planets!

  10. Well, actualy, greysscale is just for reduced memory consumption.. Use this: http://cpetry.github.io/NormalMap-Online/ to create normal maps and next to the Download button, there are opacity options. set it to 50% and donload. now turn that to greyscale and Kopernicus will ertainly like it!
  11. Well, all I've been using is GIMP so here's what I do to do greyscale: open the image. On the bar on top, you should see, trough more options, an "image" tab. Click on it and it will show you some mkre options in a drop-down. Click on the greyscale option that appears the second after the RGB option in the dropdown oppened by clicking on the "image" button. Cheers! Next, if in a later session you paste an image and its grey, go to the same "image" button and select RGB to re-color it. Remember that the "image" button is on the top of the page.
  12. ANY current planet packs and solar system modifyers need Kopernicus to work. Kopernicus is the next gen Planet Factory, only capable to also edit existing solar system.
  13. Well, might fix it in an ultimate hotfix, since the best curent version is Gregrox' one. I might donate him my files he still doesn't have so no one misses this mod. Tried my hand... but this is a lessoj for the future: never develop 2 mods in the same time, when you have verry little time for them.

I dunno, since Olimpyc is doing biomes and science stuff, but when I did them by myself, I used to raise the contrast to height maps so the floating selection has smaller sensitivity and selects a certain height, ignoring smaller details. Delete the floating selection, export, open in MSPaint, choose a color with RGB numbers easy to remember, and paint the missing white zone left by the previous zone. I generaky base biome maps on heights like this: Craters Heightlands (painted with a different color over the lighter zones on the height map) Midlands (hills that make the connection to lowlands and heightlands and are usualy colored in grey on the height map) Lowlands (darkest places on the height map i.e lowest places) Ridges (painted over mountains) Dunes (painted over gentile sand plains)
  15. Hey do you plan on releasing a compatibility patch with Kerbol Plus? We've fixed most of the big bugs with the mod so we are (kind of) close to releasing a stable new version.

  17. Yeah, I know... it's just a matter of terrain detail. There are more small bugs to be fixed with it, but otherwise it works good!
  18. You wot? But it has some terrain bugs! Good thing that I fixed them, but the release won't see the daylight until a few days after I sort some more things out...
  19. Oh goddamn!!! Fixed the other planets, and now they evel look better than before! I'm right now working on the new moons of Keelon, while I upload the current files so my tester can test them more than I already did. BTW Faz now has stable cool crystals, altrough they like to spawn on craters and they are black (I need a part modder to help me but thankfully JoePatrick1 (from Mk2 Extended) is my friend!
  20. Today was a good day! I worked hard today to make the game load ALL the planets with no bugs. FIxed the atmospheric ones, cleaned configs while I was at it. Only minor bugs with planets in Dwarf Planets have the issues of not appearing but that should be fixed after I take alook at the configs. All in all... AWESOEME!!!!!! :D:cool:
  21. Thank you! Actualy, the only bug left is black seams on some planets, that, however, have been already fixed as Olimpyc1 is doing the science/dds conversion part. For now I've only fixed Fonso, but now that I know where was the issue, I can easily fix the other planets and send everything to the tester. Also, I may be releasing some teasers of the new crystals on Faz tomorrow... Cheers! With the bugfixes, we'll also add a whole lot of futures, like completely overhauled Keelon system. All of its otherwise identical moons are now more interesting: Manai: ringed lava ocean moon Womp: orange-yellow moon covered in craters and interesting rare mountains Clero: Brown-yellow moon that has a long deep canyon stretching along its equator Arnal: Moon similar to Vall but with accentuated ridges and Huge North Pole Crater Faz: in the next version will have huge light-blue collidable crystals like Nova Silisko's one had. Pergas: remade so it looks a lot more interesting Sarvin: now has procedural animated gas clouds and storms Kerbin: now has randomly generated small farms on its surface. Transparent clouds are visiboe from orbit (optionaly) Different types of trees also generate. Mun: now has many tiny rocks covering its surface Minmus: green tiny crystals generate on surface Korolet: now has a proper more realistic comet tail with ion and dust trail visible from Kerbin. Duna: now has interesting different randomly generated rocks covering its surface. Shayle: now has very rare randomly generated rock gates covering its surface (like on stock Mun). Manai: has common huge randomly generated volcanoes on its surface (if I manage to give them animations that'd be great!) (Maybe not in next version) Parts: new bettwe RTG. New awesome capsule. New orbiter engine. New gimballable SRBs. Procedural wings acting like struts (don't know how this will turn out but I know that you should be able to place wings between 2 parts, like you do with struts. New 0.65 fairing. Sarvin: remade rings Kerbin: revamped Cactus and tree models Pls sned us more ideas.
