Many many moons ago I worked in NYC (Wall St) in a house/shop (which shall remain unnamed) which catered to the market; I wrote real-time software for stock and commodity trend analysis services, it is where I got my start. Both markets are places one can easily lose their shirt if they don't pay attention and do their homework and/or know what they're doing. My tip: Never let anyone manage your money for you, ever. I'll leave it to you to do the homework for the conglomerate symbols at play here, they do nothing but continuously yield dividend over time, and will continue to do so until the sun goes cold: water, food, land. Fun stuff.

A few here have mentioned Solar City. I've stated before (elsewhere) that Solar City is a bust, its stock in nearly steady decline for the last two years, it's current price near its initial opening (21.64USD as of today). Tesla is also a big question mark. It's made a fair comeback since the dive it took in February, but it's still "iffy" in my book. Tesla IS losing money on each car it sells, that's documented quite well and been the talk around many an investment news table... all despite they're paying back the government loan. Elsewhere in these forums over many months ago, I've commented that Musk is in a bit of trouble, he IS running out of money. At the time I made that initial statement, I also stated his only saving grace at this point was his battery. We're still watching this. As for whomever Musk sends to Mars, I still want to know under what flag he'll fly. Despite the mods here don't want politics in the mix here, there's no denying nor escaping the fact that 'Space' is nothing but politics this day in age. You can't have serious discourse about it (anyone's space endeavor) without it being a part of the discussion. At this point, even a multinational endeavor is bound to run into obstruction by the UN (for one). It's going to be interesting.

Damned auto-correct. That's an interesting point. If and when he should, under what flag will this business fly, I wonder, and the implications and global legal brew-ha-ha over 'rights' and 'space agreements'.

Elon Musk announced today that he plans to send humans to Mars by 2025. http://www.universetoday.com/129313/elon-musk-sending-humans-mars-2024/ I want to know; Will Musk being going? Shouldn't he be the leader? Did Columbus send the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria, while he stayed home in Spain with Queen Isabella dancing the Flamingo? Did Teddy Roosevelt send the Rough Riders up San Juan hill alone while he sat back and sipped margaritas and smoked cigars? No, they didn't, and neither should Musk. By the way, the artist's interpretation of the NASA Space Launch System Block 1 looks right out of KSP.

Uh... two options apply actually. MODDED - I'm on 1.05 having good classic kerbal fun MODDED - I'm on 1.1.2 and playing but the bugs are killing me My vote was cast on the 2nd of the two however.
-
I still have v1.0.5 installed, so I can jump back and forth at will (the beauty of NOT relying on Steam). I'm playing v1.1.2 currently, but not very seriously. I'm playing a Science game, and I'm not being very aggressive about it at all - because of the crashes. I'm waiting. Patiently ... for whichever happens first - an update, or the release of No Man's Sky. At this point, I think No Man's Sky is going to win.
-
My point was not that of it being exclusively, but that of it being primary/first in definition of. And on that note: Were I to offer you a couple of M&M's, of course I'd pour out a handful - and not just 2.

According to Wiki (and other history sources) it was NT3.1, which is why I said I thought it was a little earlier. A lot of memories go with that one. The desire for a new mnemonic 'HCF' (halt/catch fire), and trials and tribulations of corporate life and PC's freezing and secretaries in high-heels strutting across carpeting while wearing cotton panties beneath silk stockings... can you say 'delicate diplomacy troubleshooting methods'?
-
I was going to say about that time, maybe a little earlier, I think about the time NT came out. As I recall BSODs back then were more related to driver issues than anything else. While Win's BSOD was far more informative than a DOS halt/crash, the data supplied meant absolutely nothing to 99.99999% of the population which viewed it... and at that, apparently, to equally as many at Microsoft itself.
-
...which is why here in New Jersey, we park our cars on a 'driveway', and drive on a 'parkway'. Camacha, I don't know who prints your dictionary or where your source stems from, but every single one I've looked at and opened starts off defining couple with the word "two" or "pair" (which equates to 'two'). Online sources follow suit... https://www.google.com/#q=definition+of+couple
-
"two or a few things that are similar or the same" ... note the primary definition is two, and can also be taken loosely (synonymous to) as a few. Oxford, Cambridge, and Merriam-Webster.

...as I sit here waiting ever so patiently for No Man's Sky to release. lol

Last night I deorbited the space station sections (all except for the lab) and began construction of a new one. This one will be a bit more symmetrical (in mass), and I'll see how that works out. I don't have high hopes for it though. That is something else I have noticed with the series of missions I've run out to the Mun. On return, I try to put my capsules Pe at 20k on Kerbin's back side. By the time I arrive, I find the orbital path well inside Kerbin, and then have to make a corrective burn (lest I come in too steep and cook a Kerbal).

You guys still arguing over Dres? lol Here's a little Dres appreciation for ya.

Excellent feedback. Thank you, all. The old bug reports, I remember discussion about those issues going back to like v0.25.0, although I didn't experience such things myself at that point, nor have I since up until now. This is definitely a situation of things happening while not on rails, that much I've observed. SAS placement and multiple unit contention is a thing I'm familiar with, and have had a lot of experience with in the past (wobbly rockets). I don't really believe this to be the issue, but it's a good point (again) to make note of and consider. Putting the 'control from here' point at the center of the station has no effect. Unless I'm missing something, I don't know of any way to pinpoint the station's center of mass, unless that's the point the view anchors to when the station becomes the active craft... that changes as crafts are docked or undocked. The medium-sized docking ports are definitely an issue I was worried about from the start. I knew they weren't the ideal part to use in station building, but I don't have the large port unlocked yet ... it's a priority however. I will work with that goal before adding more mods (KAS / KJR). The combination of poor-choice docking ports and SAS with attitude leaves my station looking like a wind-sock man flapping about in the breeze. Indeed, hilarity. Trim! Now that is one I'd not thought of. I was aware of Trim being available, but have never intentionally used it... I use it in FS all the time however lol. I'm going to go check on that right now. It is highly possible I've fumble-fingered one of the Alt trim keys, I could very well have inadvertently activated that.

I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this. I'm playing a Science game, v1.1.2, with a few mods (x-science, chatterer, freeeva, scansat, and kac) ... none of which I would suspect to be the cause of what's going on. I have a spacestation I've assembled in orbit around the Mun (I'm very early on in the game mind you, without large docking ports unlocked yet). If I leave SAS on, the station begins to wobble after a few minutes, as though the SAS's on the various craft docked are competing and trying to tear the station apart. If I leave SAS off, the station begins to slowly spin, what appears to be on a random axis each time, if not on more than one axis. I can cancel the spin out by warping time, but the second I return to normal time the station begins (slowly) to spin again. Left alone, in no time at all the thing is really dancing around ... impossible to dock with. I have to quickly warp time a second to cancel out spin, jump back to real time, switch to the station and activate SAS, jump back to the craft I'm attempting to dock and hope I can do so quickly before the station starts trying to tear itself apart again - and then, yes, remember to turn SAS off again. Edit: I forgot to mention, the nearly circular stable orbit has been shifting ... from an Ap/Pe @ 50km, to 49km - 71km, and I'm watching it shift about 1m on and off every few seconds. Sound familiar? Some weird physics go on here. Questions? Comments? Suggestions? Laughter?

I don't know you, SlenderFan, but I send best wishes to you in all you do.

Good question, and some interesting history. I have written to "S.P. KOROLEV ROCKET AND SPACE CORPORATION «ENERGIA»" (post@rsce.ru) and had my friend translate my query into Russian as well. Let's see if they answer. They would be the ones to know!

Artificial meteor shower for entertainment
LordFerret replied to RainDreamer's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Capsules are quite visible, both daytime and nighttime. You just need to know where and when to look. A search on YouTube will show you plenty of ground-observed capsule re-entries.- 25 replies

ET-094 on the final leg of its trip home
LordFerret replied to StrandedonEarth's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Instead of heralding its trip 'home', the news has portrayed it as a traffic nightmare from hell to be avoided. smh Cool pics. -
You say it's postponed? That's not the impression I'm getting from that Amazon link... they're taking pre-orders (for $28.07) for a June 25th 2016 release.

OMG Multidock works! RING STATIONS Now possible! (?)
LordFerret replied to Brainlord Mesomorph's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That you even got that thing / those things into orbit boggles me. Kudos! -
I just found this on Amazon, quite by accident. Anyone know anything about this? Obviously the five co-authors are right here in these forums. Any of them care to enlighten us a little? Kerbal Space Program: Ultimate Player's Guide

Interesting article. Too bad the 2nd sentence, right off the bat, the author / editor / proof-reader didn't catch.
