  1. I've never gotten CTRL-Z to work properly. I'll have to try it again (it's been a while). My solution was saving frequently while building.
  2. Whatever it is, it's not english, makes no sense ... and if this truly is how people 'talk' these days, we're doomed.
  3. Wha?? No love for RS/6000 AIX machines or SPARC machines here??? lol
  4. That link took me to a screen which read: Ok. I'd say they've been hacked.
  5. Ah... the Onion. Great reporting. Love it. lol
  6. If you've a literal need to feel that sheepskin in your hands, then yes, you'll have to go back to school. Otherwise, short of getting an actual degree, there are so many schools online where you can study whatever - for free. You'll gain the knowledge, minus the paper that proves it.
  7. Nothing spectacular, but... For a snack - Diced apples and mayonnaise. Sliced bananas with some orange juice. For the grill - Hot dogs or cheese infused brauts, grilled, on a potato-bread hot dog bun, with plain or cinnamon applesauce... yum!
  8. It's why the Mobile Processing Lab only seats two... put'em both in there and science happens.
  9. I'd like to be excited about such missions, but my excitement gets squashed over the fact I'll not be here by the time those probes arrive let alone send back pictures and data.
  10. ASUS laptop with an i7-4500U and 8gb mem, integrated Intel chipset (default graphics), and a Nvidia Geforce 745M. Runs KSP no problems, starts bogging down a bit when part counts get up towards 900.
  11. Now... on a dare... would you have stood atop that wall during the test? How about behind it? (ordered my lifts, gonna be 2" taller in a few weeks)
  12. I came this close >< to buying an old PDP-11/70 a good while back ... not enough room in the garage, plus it gorged something like 6000-8000 watts (just the CPU cabinet). lol
  13. The Kraken is apparently making his rounds (pun intended) in a new Geico commercial. I'll guess that's why I've not seen him in a while. https://youtu.be/QCCVbClAMtI
  14. I'd like to hear their explanation of this in light of a bi-metallic strip. Do they ever argue? lol
  15. If you'll go back... don't recall if it's in this thread or perhaps another... the first initial image displayed of this - my comment was: 'it reminds me of a frost heave'. Edit: Found it, back in the beginning of July. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/107824-Dawn-at-Ceres-Thread?p=2056662&viewfull=1#post2056662
  16. Yea, that's more what I'm seeing - half of what they're claiming.
  17. This has been in the news lately - a glacier in Greenland calving off a large chunk. I've been to Alaska, seen over 30 different glaciers (including the Mendenhall, Yale & Harvard), watched a number of them calve (a most awesome sound). Yes, they are big, they are thick, a lot of ice. But, the article posted below, it's claim about ice enough to cover Manhattan Island under 1000 feet of ice?... I find that hard to swallow, a bit of BS. I'm just not buying it. How about you? The article. The glacier, near Llulissat Greenland... map scale 1 mile. The island of Manhattan, NY USA ... map scale 1 mile.
  18. Great pic... thanks for sharing! If I drove there, it would take 3 or 4 days ... my lady doesn't drive, so it would all be on me. That X-37 looks like a kiddie ride. Where do you insert the quarters? Very good point! lol
  19. New book just came out. Next time I'm down to the library I'll have to put in a request for it. Moonshots & Snapshots of Project Apollo by John Bisney and J.L. Pickering
  20. Well I know the terrain is pretty rugged there, and there's a pit (or valley?). Could be that. Fly a jet low and slow over the mountains, you'll find it. For the monolith/anomaly, you'll need to trek in on foot.
  21. Can't see diddly-squat in that picture. I had to download it and open it with Gimp, then color curve adjustment revealed it. There is a monolith (anomaly) in the mountains west of KSC, but that's not its location - it's further west and south of there. That's more than likely a blip of terrain/elevation detail... evident elsewhere in that same image.
  22. Cool stuff. Time saver for sure. How long before we see results (wondering). That first guy sounds like Arnold.
  23. I wouldn't mind going, but that's a long trip for me (especially driving).
