  1. It's not that they were updated. There were very serious breaking changes made to KAS in particular, the biggest being the removal of the old kas pipes.
  2. They all work in the current release FYI. The only areas with some potential issues are things that rely on KIS/KAS due to the major changes to those mods recently.
  3. Not a huge deal, but since it is still early in development you misspelled Distribution under the folder gamedata\upr\ResourceDistrabution
  4. Not at all. Not every module has a start life support option. Parts that are specifically designed or deemed to be habitation type modules have that option. a capsule is a cramped place to sit. A hitchiker module is a space where you can stretch out.
  5. sounds like a great opening to learn modding! Good luck. There are tons of resources all over the forums on how to get started even if you have had little to no prior experience.
  6. some modules need to be "turned on" for hab to work. I would check that first.
  7. This is from his EPL thread but I'm pretty much sure it holds true for all of the mods he handles
  8. Considering that @AndrewDraws abandoned his mod, took down all downloads, and released it ARR, it is likely not a good idea to publicly upload your copy anywhere.
  9. So i just realized from re-reading your OP that you mentioned all the USI mods. Keep in mind Roverdude is really bad about updating his thread titles, but rest assured if you check github they are up to date.
  10. Yes I'd be interested in what mod you are referencing. I don't know of any of his mods that he has left behind. Now he has taken some mods and integrated them into other mods, but I don't know of any he has abandoned.
  11. There is a long discussion thread in this sub forum on all the LS mods. I'd search and read that. It is a little old but still is relevant
  12. What I generally do (even though I have used MKS for years) when I haven't played in awhile is start a sandbox game and setup the modules at the KSC and play around to get a feel for how everything works together. TAC-LS is unofficially supported. This means there are community made configs for the integration. @RoverDude is not opposed to including said configs, he just doesn't maintain them himself. I haven't used TAC in years, since USI-LS came out so I don't have any idea how well it works these days.
  13. I don't know how long it has been since trying MKS but it has a whole set of inflatable modules for setting up starter bases.
  14. They are not designed to work together. You could probably make them work together with some MM configs, but you'd be on your own to do that.
  15. Probably because he is super busy and updating the thread is at the bottom of the list (as @RoverDude has mentioned before.) Yes it should work in 1.7.x
  16. Unsure. In general @RoverDude's mods range from completely incompatible with kerbalism to "might work but completely untested together". So it is likely unless you get really lucky that someone else has messed with that combination of mods that you are on your own to troubleshoot.
  17. Maybe ask the CKAN people? It is their mod.
  18. Everyone who starts down the modding road starts out illiterate. There are tons of resources and a healthy community of people who would happily help you learn.
  19. I think the whole point is to leave it so it doesn't need to be updated when KSP updates. So how about this? How about we all just deal with whatever @Rudolf Meier decides works best? Honestly modders are generally more interested in creating than admin work and having this many replies about the subject of the forum post is what drives many to question why they are bothering in the first place.
  20. @Rudolf Meier Congrats on the release! IR has always been a super fun addition to the game. And I totally agree with the subject choice. It is infinitely annoying to see the many replies of "but the subject says KSP version x" simply because players can't be bothered to either read the release notes or check the download link.
  21. Did you bother to look? It is current for 1.6.1 if you check the latest download. And given as @RoverDude has stated there were no breaking api changes in 1.7 it still works.
  22. Sounds like a good opportunity to take up modding! There are lots of resources and just remember most modders started with little to no experience.
  23. As @HebaruSan screen shotted, the links are there on the release page. It sounds like you did not scroll down far enough. That being said, my 13yo son has learned to navigate github (he is a KSP fan). He has not been to university yet, although he is pretty smart (but I may be biased).
