This is a silly fourm game. We have no place for your complexicated philosophies.

Enh. Its fine. I'm the type who has an astronaut complex with 30 kerbals yet has never hired a single one of them.

I guess the moral of the story is... there is no moral. It just sucks. Did you have contract configurator or stock? Well I was playing on hard so no Quickloading. The worst part was I kept thinking I should make a copy of the save file anyway in case something bad happened to it, but I never did. I don't like to let things like this get me too upset though, so I just figured I'd play some sandbox until 1.1 comes...

Twas' my Uuuokozetistan Space Program. I actually documented some of the missions on a thread in the mission reports thread *nudge nudge*. Hard Career with no quickload/reverts. Managed to never lose a kerbal despite a couple of really hairy situations. Had bases on the Mun and Minimus. I had just stranded Jeb and two others on Duna with just the command pod and landed on Ike when the save file. I had probes at Dres and Eve and one on the way to the Joolian system. Then all my contracts disappeared because of a glitch and I threw my computer in the air and gave up. Uuuokozetistan space program will fly agian in 1.1. Next time we plan on using fewer Misplaced Odd Device Schematics, or as we like to call them around here, M.O.D.S. And maybe our lawyers won't take away all of our contracts. Next time I might adjust the science and funds rewards to make getting the higher teir space center facilities a little less grindy. Always had too much science and not enough money.

Killing your Kerbals: does it make you feel bad?
Kuansenhama replied to Boris_T_Roach's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Maybe a little. I try to keep them alive (and level them up if I'm playing career) as much as I can. Usually when I play seriously, I'm pretty good about keeping them alive despite having a high rate of disasters. It just means that Jeb is still stranded on Duna and I have a lot of 'only the command pod survived' situations. But when I do have casualties, I never feel too bad. It's just a part of the game and I can learn from my mistake. But every once in awhile, if I've had a stressful day and I need to see something explode, then I lose all sympathy for the poor green sods. -
Low part count over anything else since I have a potato computer. A robust space station has 300 parts. My new SSTOs have 35.

ISRU filling tanks at different rates
Kuansenhama replied to Gilph's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Not sure why this would happen. I know there was a bug with throttle and having the ISRU running. (Where 1 out of the 4 nukes on my ship would throttle back to ~15% randomly.) So it might be something similar. I don't think the fuel lines matter if you are filling tanks with an ISRU. I think the game only uses them in the event of an engine being active. Quick fixes might be to dump all your fuel into the center. (If you're mostly empty), Dump all your fuel into the radial tanks and keep the last little bit in the center (if you're mostly full). Remember that you can hold down the Option key. (Or whatever the 'select multiple tanks to transfer fuel' transfer key is on your OS) and select more than two tanks. This is a fast way to dump all your fuel into one tank or distribute it evenly into radial tanks. Pics would be greatly helpful in showing us whats' up. -
Built a space station in 100km LKO. It's mostly there to refuel SSTOs. Ever since my career game decided to drop every contract, I've turned back over to the sandbox side of the force where I build gigantic and fairly useless bases and stations more on aesthetic than function that make my poor potato macbook cry. But building them still gives me good feelings. The one thing I can't seem to figure out is how I licked the asteroid dry so fast. D class ~300 tons. Was at 93% resources when I grabbed it. The transporter took about 10k units of ore and it said that it was at about 80%. So I should have only used 1/9th the resources getting it into position. Got the station hooked up and started mining it. Only got about another 10k units of ore until it ran dry. (That main tank holds about 30k liquid fuel and 30k oxidizer.) I've got about 5K in there now. Pretty much just a puddle in the bottom of the tank. That or maybe that percentage is proportional to the 'roid's total mass and not linear. (BRB doing the maths) uhm... yeah... must be, that makes sense based on my rough calculations. (Checked the Wiki, 300T is on the low end for D class...) I guess if I wanted to continue using the station to refuel, I have to go out and find one of those 3000 ton E-class monsters.

Only missed KSC by ONE continent this time... -
I don't know if that's allowed or not... Anyways, my meteorologist is cooler.

Another Oneironaut who plays KSP? (Pinches Nose) Where is the OP?

Focus groups decide your movie won't appeal to a broad enough demographic and it is cancelled.

This is just playing mean...

Nope. @Cake99 who seems to be on this thread alot...

Look behi- *dies* (3 Stealthy 5 U)

Awesome story. The adventure was all the more interesting because you had some challenges/mishaps along the way with the fuel transfer not working and the solar panels being the wrong way but figured ways around them. Good job!

+1 This. It could be like a second materials study but time based.

If you were the first person on mars, what would you say?
Kuansenhama replied to KleptoKat's topic in Forum Games!
This goes out to my Eighth Grade Math teacher, Mrs. Smith who said that I would never amount to anything. The one who wrote me a detention when my phone buzzed in class but ignored it every time someone else in the class had their phone go off, and who selectively graded the homework problems I got wrong. Also to Billy, the middle school bully who started rumors about me, pushed me down in the halls, and threw his gym shoes at me in the locker room. And last but definitely not least, the teacher lady from that summer camp I volunteered to assist at three years ago, who was unappreciative of my efforts and volunteered time and called me 'fat and lazy'. I just wanted to say, with the world as my witness: Screw you guys, I'm the first person on mars. -

Which is the coolest (Major) outer moon?
Kuansenhama replied to Spaceception's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Io! Volcanic and brightly colored! Titan is cool too. -
