  1. Ah, I misread that, and expected it to be the same order as the Linux/unix link command.
  2. Difficult to say. Put the ckan.exe file you downloaded in the main folder of your KSP install, wherever that may be. Then from your terminal, cd to that folder, and then you should be able to run the following: mono ./ckan.exe Pretty sure that should work, but MacOSX is weird.
  3. Sorry, I was assuming some basic computer knowledge. You'll need to delete the <YourKSPInstall>\CKAN\downloads folder first (or move it to the off-SSD location if there is anything in it) first.
  4. Hi Sobol,

I'm trying to fix up the CKAN metadata for your Space Launch Systems mods. Is the original SLSPartPack meant to only work with Realism Overhaul? I don't understand the distinction between the different packs and the dropbox download and how they should be installed.

      Hi politas,

Space Launch System Stock Dimension works only in stock version. SLS Part Pack Basic Version works well on the Stock Version and Realism Overhaul. If you want to use Realism Overhaul you should download additional files from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/oq6en7fqkygs8vu/AACghPSrfVd2xxS58MqX58gva?dl=0

So SLS Stock Dimension and SLS Part Pack without the additional Dropbox download are the same thing? I'm really quite confused.

Oh, and when you say RealismOverhaul, do you actually mean RealisticSolarSystem, or is it about the RealFuels stuff? The "Dimension" part of the name is also confusing.

  5. Seems to be working fine in 1.1.2 for me. I have StockVisualEnhancements and Scatterer installed as well.
  6. ok, so you'd need to do mklink /d <YourKSPInstall>\CKAN\downloads <FolderOutsideYourSSD> Though I'd be interested to know whether anyone is successfully using a shortcut instead. (Or has tried to do so unsuccessfully)
  7. Anyone who has installed Engineering Tech Tree through CKAN should uninstall and then reinstall it. It has a new dependency that will not be picked up otherwise.
  8. Yes, that's a known bug. For now, do upgrades and new installs separately.
  9. What happened is that part of Scatterer was broken out into a separate CKAN entry, in order to allow Astroniki Sunflare to work. AS has been mentioned, uninstall Scatterer, then reinstall, which will prompt you to choose a sunflare option.
  10. 1. I have the exact same situation. I have symlinked a folder on my RAID array to <all of my various KSP game folders>/CKAN/downloads - Means I only download each file once, and my SSD has only what it needs. 2. You can clear the cache. All it means is that you may need to re-download them. 3. Because they aren't known to be compatible with the version of KSP you have. You can change the Filter to see other sets of mods (Installed, New in Repository, Cached, All, etc) though due to a bug that hasn't been fixed yet, some mods don't appear anywhere (mods which are marked as compatible, but which have dependencies that are incompatible).
  11. That is madness. Running anything you download from the Internet with admin privileges is asking for your computer to become part of a botnet. Install KSP in your Userspace, rather than under Program Files, and you should be able to run both KSP and CKAN without problems as a normal user. You are bypassing all your operating system's defences with what you are doing.
  12. If your normal user account cannot write files in the KSP_Win directory, how do you save games?
  13. @nobodyhasthis2, The metadata for Sounding Rockets is self-hosted by @RoverDude. You'll need to take it up with him to remove the conflict. Don't run CKAN with admin privileges. Why would you do that?
  14. Oh, you can update the OP to say that it is on CKAN, now. Has been for some time.
  15. That is correct. The low resolution version is the only one the mod author has released to Spacedock, and there are no Github releases, only pre-releases. When @Nhawks17 publishes an actual release on Github, we will be happy to return to multiple SVE versions with different resolutions. AS @Ranger has pointed out, the best way to do this is with multiple KSP installations. KSP has no DRM, so you can easily copy the game files to another folder. CKAN includes functionality to operate across multiple KSP Installations (File -> Select KSP Install in the menus), and provides a "Launch KSP' button to make running your different KSP setups easy. This is a far more suitable way to do what you are asking, as each installation thus has its own save games, which rely on having the correct mods installed to function correctly. We consider this to be the feature you are asking for, and do not plan to set up an alternate, less ideal method to do it.
  16. Hi CrzyRndm,

PilotAssistant's thread title claims KSP1.1 compatibility, and your notes on the release say "Ksp 1.1 compatibility", but your AVC .version file has the precise KSP version of "1.1.0", marking it as incompatible with KSP 1.1.2. Is it more generally compatible? If so, could you update your .version file?

  17. Ok, so with a clean KSP 1.1.2 on Linux, I installed KerbalSports v1.0.4. Flew a Gull over to the ocean and splashed down a little hard, breaking the floats. Got Jeb out, stood him on the wing and did a little fishing. Got Jeb back in the cockpit and recovered the vessel. Much splashy explodyness heard on a black loading screen and KSP is frozen. Player.log I previously did the same with Valentina, flying around and parking next to the Admin building and fishing in the pool, with the same results. It's quite reliable.
