How to make a 6 satellite geostationary network.
Higgs replied to Dfthu's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Dfthu if you ask for a moderator to close the thread usually by naming one like vanamonde or whomever with an @ and his/her name they usually will oblige you with a closure. -
I hope the devs do the intelligent thing and scrap the idea of multiplayer entirely. Ksp and multiplayer are oil and water. They dont mix. Too many variables to coordinate. Too many ways for it to go bad. Not enough to be gained by it. My objections said, the wiki is not Squad maintained and they have said as much.

What is the biggest mission failure you have ever had?
Higgs replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Discussion
@Nikolai Even then, tis minmus, should work. And as @SpaceCommunism points out, sas should be strong enough to rotate it if it falls. -
Firstly, thank you for your service. Secondly, no one is perfect. We all error and goof up. I for one, welcome you back. Higgs

Higgs replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Discussion
@Flamingo Mind if i save jeb? You are on minmus, just turn to face the ship. Turn your eva pack on. Jump. Slow your drop with eva and grab the hatch. -

What is the biggest mission failure you have ever had?
Higgs replied to JacobJHC's topic in KSP1 Discussion
was sending a pair of comm sats to Jool to replace a pair lost to reasons, i failed to notice a building glitch. the docking ports i used were literally melded into each other and acting like a single part. no decouple possible. SO, the mission being lost to a build error, I sent the probes into Jool. Biggest failure in a long while. 3 years game time... <shakes head sullenly, walks off> -
Mods in Stock
Higgs replied to Choctofliatrio2.0's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
a little birdie and a youtube video told me there is a feature hidden in the code of KSP. Plasma Trails. Seeing as 1.2 is supposed to have some decent performance upticks, would it be possible to turn on the plasma trails? -

[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
Higgs replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@NecroBones Is it or rather would it be possible to have a fuel carrying 3.75m tank that adapts up to fit 5m and maybe rcs tanks larger than stock that are inline? Just thinking aloud -
The KSP team is completely falling apart right now.
Higgs replied to Clockwork13's topic in Kerbal Network
Hey um op? Squads a company. Coding is hard. People come. People go. Are they falling apart? In a way yes. The same way our bodies do as old cells fall away and newer shinier ones step in. It's growth. It's a good sign. -

[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
Higgs replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases

[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
Higgs replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@Laguna @Andem I direct your attention to this image. It was taken <as of this post> less than 5 minutes ago. the ONLY difference between this image and the one directly above your post Laguna? is that Module Manager AND both Space Y Heavy Lifter and its 7.5m expansion are removed from my game data folder. Those "+" are directly related to either of the Space Y packs or Module Manager. It is NOT a stock feature. It is distracting, and I would like some way to shut those little "+" down as they add only distraction to me. Sure they are useful to some, but, to me, they take away. -
[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
Higgs replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@NecroBones upper right corner of every part in the list. its the same on every single tab. these + marks appeared after installing Space Y heavy lifters and its extended 7.5m pack. im not sure if this is MM doing this, or something with in your parts packs, but, id like to be able to turn these off, any info is appreciated -
[1.4] SpaceY Heavy-Lifter Parts Pack v1.17.1 (2018-04-02)
Higgs replied to NecroBones's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
is there a way to turn off the + on each and every single part that now shows up since i added both this parts pack and its expanded version? they are rather distracting -
In short the gentleman running got fed up with stuff and felt a sense of apathy and quit. Theres a thread that shows more

1. No no no no. Keep it as a mod honestly. 2. Yes 3. I think you mean flesh it out and i agree 4. Idk i dont even use the ground clutter toggle so its eh to me 5. I think the nukes from novapunch are 2.5 meter and are good enough for me. i think since 1.1 is unity 5 and U5 supports 64 bit it may solve the ram issue if you have the ram to burn

Rather short sighted harry. A good number of contracts state do X task in Y time. That makes it time sensitive. Period. I know of some folks (myself included) pick up contacts and get sidetracked only to remember about Z contract only to fail. You also discount the players who DO use things like TAC Life Support and that build time mod. Adding weather enhances, not detracts. Look beyond yourself Harry, look beyond what to me looks like a mindset of impatience. See what can be, see the possibilities and dont wall yourself into a dull box because its comfortable and easy. In the end do what you want in your game, but do embrace the potential some day.
