1. considering it recharges at 1 unit per second and its capacity is 400 it would take just under 7 minutes; it can use its RCS to thrust forward too so that evens things out a little
2. I think I might have developed a rival to the NX-05 The Krenko-class fighter shares many attributes to the NX-05 such as role, arnaments and propulsion but I speculate it may also be smaller and have a greater range (factoring in RCS)
3. I've been experimenting with tiny fighters like ScriptKitt3h did quite a while ago and eventually I managed to birth this The Krenko-class Swarm Fighter is tiny, like horey shet it's so wee. It measures in at only 3m long, 1.5m wide and 1m tall when armed and only 2m when disarmed; I speculate that this may be even smaller than the MU's NX-05. The Arnament however is paltry, its single rocket weapon has a low impact tolerance and is unlikely to damage anything more than fighters and lightly armoured ships like transports; though it might be able to squeeze in well enough to target weak spots of capital ships. Its armour is also non-existent, it's primary protection is its size making it hard to target to guided and dumbfire weapons but if it does hit, it will be destroyed; no ifs, no buts, just dead. For further reference, here is a Krenko contrasted in size by a Thalia and an Avacyn Current specs would suggest that the Krenko would be most suited for specialised carriers such as the NX-06 but as of yet, no such Federation ship is suited for carrying Krenko-class ships beyond repurposed Vraskas Download Link
4. ENGAGE THE TIME MACHINE! at 2014-ish I began making military craft a-la Macey Dean style as fodder for the newly inaugrated Naval Battle Club thread that just started. My two particular creations were the Griselbrand-class corvette and the Thraben-class Cruiser Of course, compared to the many other ships also present in the thread neither proved particularly effective at taking damage though their Bol-class missiles remain to this day a pretty effective arnament in any KSP Military ship. Otherwise I wasn't particularly active, the devs shut down the Roleplay section a year before and the Kerbal Powers game (the spiritual successor) I couldn't be significantly interested in. I still ended up making more ships a year after following the discovery of HatBats Kethane Station series and today, there is a new fleet of now-effective ships with the Griselbrand II replacing its predecessor and the Avacyn-class Assault Carrier replacing the Thraben For those that want to give them a try, here are some download links Thraben Cruiser Griselbrand I Corvette
5. Just as a little gift for you guys, I also made a VTOL plane variant of the Ulamog; it's lighter and can move twice as fast but it doesn't have the ECM jammers or 50. Cal machine guns Press 1 to toggle between engine modes Press 2 to toggle VTOL Engines Press 3 to toggle forward engines Press 4 for Chaff Press 5 for Flares Download Link
6. As promised, I would like to introduce the Ulamog-class Gunship This ground-attack craft is designed to wreak havoc on ground targets with its single GAU-8 cannon and a grand total of 12 Rocket pods; this alone gives it enough firepower to entirely level the KSC to the ground many times over. In addition, it also comes mounted with two 50. cal cannons and two AARAMS to ward off airborne threats Thrust is modest but doable with the two Panther engines, its weight means it cannot take off Dry, however it has more than enough thrust in Wet mode to clear off the ground and go at a substantial speed albeit with heavy fuel consumption; It's advised using drop tanks for long range missions Download Link
7. Just a tiny update saying I'm still here; I haven't been active on KSP much and XCOM 2 is to blame for this. I'll try and see if I can make a logistics and/or military ship but I don't imagine myself to be active probably until the next KS episode arrives (or perhaps never) But stay tuned, I'm not dead just yet.
8. try uninstalling Kerbinside then try BDArmoury
9. Do you have any other mods installed? some mods tend to react badly to each other
10. That thing appears to serve a function like a massively upscaled version of my Argus tank, will there be targeting pods and countermeasures or are you going to use an older version of BDArmoury? For reference:
11. Here's how the BDArmoury update weapons work 1. Use laser-guided missiles using a targeting pod against ground targets; you need to keep it focused on the target as the missile is in flight 2. Use Radar-guided missiles with radomes, recievers or radar dishes against air targets. 3. Heat-seeking missiles target whatever heat source it can look at first and don't need lock-on, use against air targets. 4. Laser pointers can give GPS co-ordinates via the To GPS command for GPS-guided bombs. 5. Flares divert heat-seekers, Chaff divert Radar-guided missiles, IR smoke break laser-guided locks and ECM jammers reduce the chance of a radar lock. 6. HE-KV-1's are silly, don't use them
12. Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that I am A: Back (for now) and B: Releasing this new fighter. It is a replica of the L4 depicted in the new trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence which you can view Here The craft flies okay, but the unstable aerodynamics created by the angled fins mean the ASAS pods are the only reason it doesn't fall out of the sky, the range is also okay from the juno engines Craft File
13. Sorry to bring the subject back in but I am afraid I have to compile this together. First, I have to apologise to all of you guys, especially The_Mad_Emu. I have been in a very tired state these past few weeks mainly due to IRL studies and events and I haven't been making anything new since the Melek and Nixilis aircraft a while ago. This tiredness has not been helped one bit from the barrage of PMs from Emu I have tried my best to be constructive all this time but I am now worn out which explains what happened here
Constructive critisim involves informing a person on what they did wrong, so they can fix it, not just stating something is bad/wrong. I also found the bottom two quotes rude, as they basically discourage a player from playing the game and submitting craft.(The entire point of this thread) I do not understand how you see this as only Emu announcing craft, because put up far less craft than others in this thread. Also, it just isn't your place to tell him to stop. He never reached a spam level of posting, so he shouldn't be treated as if he had. -JT I still completely accept the blame, I have completely failed myself by abandoning what I can only interpret as my only fan ever, reflecting on this I do not even believe myself to even be worthy of this lovely community; I like to roleplay and because of events that conspired long, long ago it is forbidden, making me an obselete user; scorned upon by moderators, I even hold myself responsible for the shutdown of Rocket Builders since there is no bigger roleplayer than myself (I think). Which brings me onto my next point, since I don't hold myself worthy I would like to announce two things: First is that I am rescinding my submissions; I have been rude and neglecting and such people do not deserve to feature in the Kethane Station series; second is that I am going on a temporary leave, I don't know how long I will be gone, maybe a day, a week, maybe even another 2 years but I need to get my strength back. You people are an amazing community that flourished without me and I'm sure you'll continue amazingly with my absence again. I do not want your sympathy or compensation, I just want to know you looked at this post and acknowledged its existence; I don't want to be an attention ..... and sorry again if I have been so, I wish you all the best of luck, especially you HatBat with the production of new Kethane Station Episodes, I have faith at least that you'll do everyone proud --Spearka
14.
Rocket Builders is a place that actually breaks our community rules constantly, in particular the 'thou shallt not roleplay' rule. You're still welcome to offer the craft you make, or even take requests in the Spacecraft Exchange forum though, the only thing that will change is the 'company' part of it, with the employee/director/ceo roles and inter-company drama that comes with it.
"ahem" I appreciate this concern. The rule against roleplay came up after the old Roleplay thread on KSP was closed because it was rampant and uncontrolled with users frequently making up too many ridiculous scenarios resulting in heated arguments that resulted in entire threads closing. The Roleplay was restarted then closed because the effects continued. I know this because I was there to witness it all and the attempted revival in a seperate website which soon fell. But now with the closure of RB I must ask "Is this truly the right way to fix this?". Kerbal Space Program is a perfect game for creating your own stories: you can found colonies, expand your influence and with mods like BDArmoury you can make military vehicles too; you can even find these stories in the Fan Works thread and in Youtube videos and series like Kethane Station, World War K, Spiritwolf. All products of KSP's potential; while roleplaying and storymaking are different the former definitely builds better versions of the latter by building an expanded universe to which multiple people can contribute, Kethane Station is already a product of this! I even play Kerbal Space Program BECAUSE I can make my own story; the original Roleplay Thread is probably what made me keep playing as I could make things that actually bore some legitimacy to a greater cause. To deny players a roleplaying ability can, and will result in a loss of potential and existing players. Once again, I still understand why this decision was made as roleplaying leads to stuff lots of people do not agree with but please, I urge you... There must be a better solution
15. Does anyone know if the forum changes upcoming will change the NBC?
16. Thanks for the notification HatBat I'd also like to add that I would advise everyone to back up all your Rocket Builders threads as the entire section will be going when the new forum comes up.
17.
Spearka, while it not be my place, I don't think you should be trashing anyone, especially on a thread that isn't yours. There is a difference between constructive critisism and just being a jerk. Please stop.:) -JT
Sorry, I've just been trying to be as constructive as possible with my advice yet Emu keeps PM-ing me over and over and I'm just getting tired of it. That and the thread is becoming little but more Emu craft being announced and I'd like some more diversity
18.
http://imgur.com/a/IIktI THe LSSF or light space strike fighter is one of our best space fighters it is large enough to fight by itself but small enough to be a large carrier fighter its is armed with 6 emus beak guided torpedos it has a power plant of 6 ion engines with plenty of xeon it also has large amount solar panals so it will never run out of power https://www.dropbox.com/s/3bmtkafulpil5tf/the%20emu%20lssf.craft?dl=0
Emu, we need to talk about your making of too many ships

20.
Wow, you missed a whole RAM generation, we are at DDR4 since Skylake. I definetly recommed an upgrade, i assume a complete rebuild is needed after such a long time.
yeah... problem is that I'm not exactly stable in terms of finance and any investment above £100 I feel is way too risky to do even if it's building a PC from the ground up. Wanna know how outdated my rig is, I'll give the rest of the Specs. P5QPL-AM ASUS motherboard Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5300 2.6GHz 4GB RAM NVidia GT630 Graphics Card. Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit 500 GB Hard Drive the thing is so old you can hear it spouting racist comments if you put your ear close enough
21.
The blade's missiles are in no way anti capital. They have low impact heads, and low thrust propulsion.
TBH it's not even anti-fighter. I'm sure that a Thalia could tank infinite amounts of those missiles. I mean, if you don't believe me see Ep. 23 with the Trishulas missiles, they had similar structure and couldn't even get through a Longswords weak armour
22.
Spearka, first is to find out what motherboard you have and what processors it takes, and whether they would be a worthwhile upgrade.
I'm actually using an old P5QPL-AM ASUS motherboard. It does say it can fit Intel Core 2 Quad processors but I don't know if they fit i3 or i5 processors. oh and I still use Vista :D
23. I have been considering upgrading the processor core on my desktop. The problem is that I do not know how
