You can hack gravity without any mods to be what you want, so you could test on the runway with Duna gravity before taking the long trip there, just use the Debug menu -

I am on a new version, but the load times are horrendous on all of them, big fairings overlapping, means big delays -

Resolved second stage seperation issues, now I am trying to balance the fuel load, it's within a couple of meters of the real thing and makes orbit easily, improved many other features and am working on reuseability Not sure how but I have reduced load times and seperation times by about 30s It reminds me of the MC Hammer song I like big ... and I can not lie -

I find landing hardest, really hard to judge those last few meters and the sink rate -

Nice plane! I tried different types of pontoons, but mk1 parts only survive 10ms impact speeds, meaning you need a really slow landing speed on water, efficient SSTO's tend to have higher landing speeds, mk2 parts have 40ms, I could do mk2 as other have done in the challenge, but they all tend to go to Minmus to refuel, with this I can go Laythe direct. I am adding more fuel, rcs, solar, batteries etc, we will see how heavy I can get it and still take off and land. At the moment it is 10' + on ascent and easily leaves and lands, I would like to stretch the margins a bit more and even get another passenger if possible. I wonder if you could use RCS balls as, bearing, teeth and blades, super efficient! -

It could only reach Mach 1 https://kerbalx.com/SelfishMeme/Concorde-2b I also had an idea for the current reddit challenge, Sea to sea SSTO, about using fairing pontoons, which worked great, as pontoons. But they were drag monsters. A few experiments later I ended up with this As you can see, almost 3000ms dV from a sea take off, I possibly could land this on Laythe, the fairings protect the flimsy fuselage during sea landings quite well. Also good heat shields. -

kerbal all stock saturn V like rocket?
selfish_meme replied to Pawelk198604's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
There are two Mk1 Capsules, one on each side of the lander, they only offset slightly Thank You, I spent a bit of time getting it as authentic as I could, while still being low part count enough to actually use -

Despite his personal convictions, I found Orson Scott Cards How to write Science Fiction and Fantasy a great book for helping to distill the ideas that I want to write. I am trying my hand at a quite ambitious screenplay currently, I have less qualms about shooting the scenes than I do about writing an entertaining story! Also I am trying to do it in a positive way that encompasses everything that is as officially canon as possible in KSP, like an origin story. Has anybody else enjoyed the screenplay style of writing? coincidentally one of my favorite book adaptions of a screenplay was The Abyss by OSC's as well. -
@swdennis has built a cartridge fed gun, but it was a bit to big to be mounted on a plane, not sure if stock, pretty sure he used tweakscale

I have so many! First there was the Gargantua Then Atlantis Then Atlantis again, in conjunction with @sgt_flyer and his brilliant boosters and stock robotic arm Lastly, from my mod, Stock Space Shuttle and SLS Mod -
You can use colored lights shining on the stern to make a visual landing aid, I did that once, for stock arrestor gear I used spiders or ant engines stacked, because they bend, and then a thermometer offset into the landing zone, then you can attach a strut to it. The plane won't collide with the struts so you have to get the thermometers into the path of the wheels. It sort of worked, but is part heavy.

Stock Antonov AN-225 Mriya Replica
selfish_meme replied to Kronus_Aerospace's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I took some screenshots later after the stream, I retested with unbreakable joints till it was loaded and everything went well, flying at 5 FPS is not something I enjoy though -
Some more work testing (yes it's serious stuff ) with assets and artwork

I tried something new for me yesterday, a stream going over the most popular stock craft of the week on KerbalX @Kronus_Aerospace Kronus Antonov AN-225 "Mriya" an absolute behemoth of a plane. It is a building masterpiece at 979 parts . Unfortunately the strain was too much for my computer. I then tested Anders Dunacraft MkIV SSTO with mining and rovers. Even with my driving it made orbit with 2200ms of dV to spare. Lastly I tested 2 of @BadPilot's craft The Whisp Interplanetary explorer and the Snowflare SSTO VTOL, both excellent craft. There were teething problems, and I am new at this so please forgive my dorkishness https://www.twitch.tv/videos/227191241

Why not just use MK3 tanks as the decking, you will reduce part count five fold
