  1. I think the dev have done a great job, every improvement they make to Kerbin improves the other planets too. I think 1.1 will be rover wheels because of Unity 5 requiring they be rebuilt, but 1.2 is probably going to be clouds and planets, they have been held back by memory limitations until now, don't expect them to hold back forever. Also you need memory for more and better textured parts and lots of unique anomalies, don't worry i think you will find the future even more entertaining.
  2. I just had the same issue with the clouds, downloading another pack - - - Updated - - - Medium Resolution works correctly
  3. Thanks man, I already use empty fuel tanks as tubes and just do the crew transfer to get them in or out, walking the Kerbal between pods seems a bit redundant. Nice hab. But you guys should check out the hollow octacore mod so you can make walkable tunnel systems inside craft.
  4. Thats got more to do with intake choice, intakes behave differently at altitude and speed now, if you have not got a supersonic intake or enough intake one engine (usually last placed) will starve the other. Also the Wheesleys have an issue and each consumes 2.5 intakes worth of air, which makes them pretty useless to have more than one.
  5. I made this SSSTO as a joke response to a comment on reddit, but the more I play with it the better it gets. It's now a full to orbit and back capable SSTO, can take off and land on water or ground. Basically it can go anywhere on or near Kerbin as long as there is a flattish place to land and transport a few tons of cargo and 18 Kerbals. I have named it Pegasus and categorised it as a Capricorn Class Space Clipper (yep thats a thing now). Anyway whats a cargo plane without stuff to deliver, I found that I could get my Ares rovers out of it, but not back in (her back end is tight), so I made a tough little 2 Kerbal exploration rover (with roofracks) to drop off and explore faraway places.
  6. You should probably go into advanced editing of the post and remove ksp bug, otherwise I think the mods will remove it as clickbait
  7. Looks like I get to kick it off, something small I put together, can I say the water on Kerbin is crystal clear, never had that sort of view distance anywhere else I have dived. - - - Updated - - - By the way, I am thinking of some things Seaquest 2032, DSV Voyage to the bottom of the sea
  8. Thats a possibility I had not considered, mainly because it did not affect any of the other engines. I wanted to use the Wheesleys for VTOL, which is why I am static testing.
  9. This is unmodded support, the 64bit version is only officially supported on Linux. 64bit Windows won't get any support at all.
  10. I checked to see if it was the old intake symmetry bug, but it seems to be simply a case of the Wheesley drawing too much intake air so much that one engine starves another, even with a circular intake and two structural intakes. I also thought it might be related to two intakes on one fuselage but no. Intakes on one fuselage, one engine flamed out Intakes on both fuselages, one engine flamed out Each engine has a circular intake and two structural intakes, one engine flamed out (always seems to be last engine placed) Done without any symmetry - - - Updated - - - Tested with all other jets, only affects Wheesleys
  11. You guys may want to be aware of this multiple Wheesleys will be problematic
  12. So I was going over some old craft (imported into new install) (unmodded and modded) and noticed my VTOL didn't work anymore. Anyway was playing around and noticed the Wheesleys throwing sparks like they have no fuel or air. After a bit of investigating it seems they are intake air deprived despite having what was sufficient intake previously. Tried lots of different intakes, same problem. Built a test rig. Two circular intakes cannot feed two Wheesleys and only one Wheesley up to 80%. It doesn't improve if you add more intakes, that's about max output currently for a Wheesley. Pics below first one engine and then the other, and Reddit thread where someone else noticed it here.
  13. I am not seeing clouds in the Menu screen but they are in the the game when flying, I thought it did not install too.
  14. I built a hydroplane and that seems to work, so I imagine wings underwater would to.
  15. Someone on asked for it Seaplane SSTO, or SSSTO, or in this case Hydrofoil SSTO. Needs a little tweaking, the nose gets destroyed on landing, everything I have tried so far, but if I extend the floats forward that might work, got to 138km x almost something, was 100ms short of 100km, a new nose could fix that.
  16. I don't want to come off as critical, but these are the things I noticed, and I am not sure how detailed your replica is meant to be. Orion is a 4 person module The heat shield on orion is attached directly to the base and is encased in a ring, the ring stays with the crew service module, yours would disappear when staged. The Orion has a flatter cone shape, where that one is more Apollo like. It also has a longer four window design The solar panels come from the base of the CSV not underneath it. The CSV may be a bit longer But, with just using a stock capsule, thats about as close as it gets.
  17. I tried an SSTo today and though the heating effects appeared later they persisted for about 10km higher, not sure what that means. They still took 10FPS off.
  18. I accidentally created an Air Show Disaster film, I actually wanted to film an airshow sequence for 1.05, but things did not go quite to plan. I had tested this with one Kerbal, so why not 6 right?
