  1. that goes with BDB's Apollo drogue then, the one from his LEM I probably know why it isn't working... did you get the expansion from spacedock or the github repo? the one from the repo is updated and should work with the latest BDB (one of those stat changes)
  2. are you using the APAS one? I've set it to behave just like the stand-alone CxAerospace parts, which means they will only dock with another APAS from the CxAerospace, and that other docking port must be female/passive another reason could be that since CxAerospace got updated @cxg2827 could have changed some stats of these docking ports, which will render them undockable, and I didn't have a chance to look at them yet I'll be changing these additional pods for a docking port-less version instead in a future release
  3. what clamp in which pack? O.o I know he has a Energia tower, but I never saw his R7 tower and I can't seem to find it on his Soyuz pack
  4. Also, keep in mind that these trees are not final, as @minepagan said we appreciate suggestions and ideas that could change the final tree
  5. Version 1.3 is up, now available through Github and Spacedock Changelog:
  6. I'd change those two, FASA is dead and I don't even know if it is still being maintained by the RO folks while BDB has what it had and more stuff than it (probes, skylab, Eyes Turned Skywards stuff, Jupiter, Delta, Saturn I...), not to mention that the BDB Saturn V is actually proportional to the RL one (except for the SLA) and since this is the SSTU thread, let me make a shameless plug by saying that I'm adding SSTU plugin support to BDB parts in the SSTU Expansion pack that's why I mentioned RP-0, even though it is meant to be an RO tech tree, they changed everything to start with probes, and moved many science parts out of the start, so the first launches are pretty much sub-orbital if you even manage to do that much
  7. I really liked RP-0, but unfortunately it is a RO tech tree, it doesn't play well on stock, it CAN be played, but shouldn't play well, mainly because RO changes the name or clones parts and RP-0 needs them a stock RP-0 would be cool though, but it would need more people involved
  8. then you'd have two passive APAS docking together and people would come and complain that this isn't realistic I already posted a quick MM patch that disables gendering and makes this discussion useless, so it's up to people if they want it or not
  9. ah, almost forgot, this part is a bit hidden but has some useful info on a few solid engines and if not all, almost every US and Soviet liquid engine: http://www.b14643.de/Spacerockets/Specials/index.htm
  10. stock KSP doesn't support that, that's the whole point of this discussion
  11. thanks @Sigma88, it is working perfectly now! KK got rescaled, but I can live with that, no problem
  12. I wonder what would happen with atmoTopLayer = 5 and having a station inside the atmosphere... would it have negligible drag?
  13. I'm likely wrong, but I believe that in a 10x system if I set it to 1 I'll have a KSC that would look like a zeppelin hangar housing a cessna
  14. yep, already did these, they were included as additional edits in the above post in a clean install everything was fine, as soon as I added GPP (didn't even add any of the visuals, just the GPP folder) I got the KSC underground again
  15. I understand RSS, but how can't you run RO? it's just a bunch of patches, it shouldn't add RAM usage or have an impact on graphics as for atmoTopLayer, settings file, there's a field in there for it EDIT: @Sigma88 well, I got the same issue as Cheesecake, but I'm using Galileo Planet Pack and tons of other mods, same issue as him, in a previous version everything was fine, even the old save which had the KSC at the correct spot now has it inside the terrain my configs: do you need any log? I didn't get any debug error report, that's why I didn't include any here EDIT 2: with bare minimum mods it works fine though: EDIT 3: and with just GPP added I got back to square one:
  16. the CFG-D is around the same size as the Von Braun's wheel would be at 64% scale, and in his plans it would have 50 crew aboard maybe 60 kerbals cap? 50 like Von Braun's plan plus 10 for tourists or people waiting for the next "moon shuttle service"
