In KSP the game clock rolls over a day every 6 hours as it's Solar Day is 21600 seconds. The game clock runs for 426 days and then rolls over into the next year after 426d 0hr 0m 0s have elapsed, giving a Solar Year length of 9201600 seconds. However, Kerbin's Sidereal Year length is 9203544.618 seconds giving a Sidereal Length of 426d 0hr 32m 24.61s as well all know. How does KSP interpret this mismatch in Solar Day and Sidereal Day when it comes to calculating the game clock at the end of every year? We would need a leap year every 11 years or so to catch up. That or Kerbin's SMA should be 13597924514m so that the Sidereal Year and Solar Day align to exactly 9201600s and 21600s respectively. Am I just being dumb?

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Poodmund replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Could this be due to the 10x scale config using a Kopernicus day length multiplier of 3 on the Homeworld? @Kopernicus:BEFORE[SigDim2]:NEEDS[SigDim] { @Body:HAS[#name[Kerbin]] { @SigmaDimensions { @dayLengthMultiplier = 3 @landscape = 0.25 } } } It seems like KAC is picking up the true time and not the time after Kopernicus has modified it. PSA: Anyone who is using an upscaled system (and therefore an extended day length due to the day length modifier in the rescale config), how are you experiencing time dependent mods i.e. KAC, Transfer Window Planner, USI-LS, Kerbal Construction Time etc. in your game? Are they working correctly or are the times show in game (game clock time) out of sync with the times listed in any of the mod GUIs? It would be nice to hear how how mods are interacting with the Kopernicus Clock.- 7,371 replies

[1.8] EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements [1.8.0-2]
Poodmund replied to Waz's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Your system resources are there to be used. It looks as though you're getting around 60fps there (V-Sync on?) so what's the issue? -
The EVE configs use Cube Maps for their cloud textures which suffer from the EVE Cloud Integration bug that they appear white when that option is enabled in Scatterer... which I think is a problem with Eve as the cloud layer is coloured. Turn that option off and it should be fine... hopefully? Let us know how it goes.

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Poodmund replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
For those wondering, here are the re-scale factors for each resize config for Celestial Body Size, Orbital Characteristics, Terrain Altitude and Atmospheric Height when compared to the stock sized system: 1x Scale: Celestial Body Size: 1 Orbital Characteristics: 1 Terrain Altitude: 1 Atmospheric Height: 1 2.5x Scale: Celestial Body Size: 2.5 Orbital Characteristics: 2.5 Terrain Altitude: 1.9 Atmospheric Height: 1.3 3.2x Scale: Celestial Body Size: 3.2 Orbital Characteristics: 3.2 Terrain Altitude: 2.24 Atmospheric Height: 1.4 6.4x Scale: Celestial Body Size: 6.4 Orbital Characteristics: 6.4 Terrain Altitude: 3.648 Atmospheric Height: 1.6 10x Scale: Celestial Body Size: 10 Orbital Characteristics: 10 Terrain Altitude: 5 Atmospheric Height: 1.8 I saw that on @RoverDude's stream he was pondering the Atmosphere Height of Otho as there was a potential unwanted aerobrake situation but it wasn't easily apparent what height the atmosphere started in an upscaled system... so here's all the info in case anyone was wondering. The values are calculated by the following Sigma Dimensions variables: Celestial Body Size = Resize Orbital Characteristics = Rescale Terrain Altitude = Resize * landscape Atmospheric Height = Atmosphere * atmoTopLayer The landscape variable values are determined by the following: Resize^(Log10(0.5)) or verbally, the Resize value to the power of (roughly) -0.301.- 7,371 replies

@nightingale, in reference to my post 4 posts up, is there any scope or workaround for this? Just remembered that I asked this here but not sure if there was any review of the query.- 5,206 replies

Need Mac and Linux Testers for planet textures
Poodmund replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Modelling and Texturing Discussion
The only issue of not storing them in the PluginData folder is that KSP will have to reload them into the cached data upon every load. For mods like GPP with a mass load of new hires textures this could add significant load time to an already long load time. It's worth testing the effect of this load time difference. -
No worries, dude! I'm glad you sorted it out and hope you have fun exploring the outer worlds. Let me know how you get on and give me suggestions, feedback and raise any issues that you may have. We always like to see a screenshot or two as well if you have anything cool.
-
For instances such as this with conflicts between mods that primarily provide configs, its usually more beneficial to post the ModuleManager.cache as that contains all the loaded configs in the final state that KSP recognizes. It would appear to me that due to your SVE installation containing textures that are no longer used in the most recent version of SVE, you may be using an outdated version of SVE. Please ensure that you are using SVE v1.2.1. @Galileo, it also appears that in the SVE OP, the link to the latest version still directs to the v1.2.0 release page. Would you mind updating this, please?

Great to hear. Hope you are enjoying yourself. I've thrown together an updated trailer for the OP and if anyone was on the fence about downloading this mod, this may help you decide: I have little experience in video production but it gets the idea across.

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Poodmund replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The next time @RoverDude is streaming his GPP gameplay, can someone please give him a reminding nudge that the dV maps are all included within the KSPedia. He has been looking for them online the past couple of times that he has loaded up the game but they are in fact included... within the game. Unfortunately I don't get to watch RoverDude stream live too much but I'm sure some of you guys can pass on the message.- 7,371 replies

Looks like your syntax is incorrect in what you're trying to create as opposed to edit and vice versa, you will want to check out: https://github.com/sarbian/ModuleManager/wiki/Module-Manager-Handbook and ensure that you're creating the config files correctly.
