  1. I'm trying to use the same cloud texture at different offsets on different cloud layers but whatever values I put into the offset variables, the texture does not seem to get affected. I looked through other example configs and they all seem to use 0,0,0. How is the Offset feature supposed to be used?
  2. I'd deprecate it and just wait for implementation with Scatterers multi-planet support to be honest. Thats exactly why I'm not tinkering around with anything as I'm waiting for the next release of Scatterer before taking a look.
  3. Blowfish, you could just bundle that .cfg file in the Community Fixes and tell people to update that until further notice? Would save you a lot of grief maybe?
  4. The old RAPIER looks as though it has the same kind of inlets as the new modeled Jet engine (ala Pratt & Whitney J58), it would be cool if the remodel could implement this too for the Open/Close cycle modes (doesn't have to animate, thats probably going too far). New model inlets. It looks very nice though. Nice level of fidelity. It's very Porkjet'y, you have the style down.
  5. Yeah the atmosphere glow: Thats taken from the stream footage. If you compare it to say, some of the DISCOVR shots taken of Earth, you don't really see a pronounced glow: Link. It depends how life like you want them to look in any case. As an aside note, I think the glow you have on Kerbin above is not too bad, maybe a tad strong for me, but its not overly done.
  6. After watching the stream broadcast I would say to be careful not to make the planets/moon too glow'y. I think a lot of visual packs do this for a wow factor when it isn't really necessary. I'm all for a slight, small banded glow to soften the... edge terminator (?) lines between the planet and backdrop of space but it shouldn't really be too soft. I mean, I just Googled some of the planets and they don't glow unless they are eclipsing the sun but do have soft edges in cases. What are your thoughts?
  7. I do something similar and have requested this previously but it resulted, fairly, in Sigma stating that if you run custom GFX packs then you can just browse through the .cfg files and pick out the parts you require and then just delete all the other unnecessary files. Its not too much hassle to be honest.
  8. There is a comment in that Imgur gallery: Oh how that guy could not be more wrong. Its pretty amazing you are getting this to work so well.
  9. It seems very bright, I have *very quickly* tweaked the image in PS to darken it down a little whilst retaining the yellow/brown tinge and it brings out some detail in the bight areas somewhat. Its all personal preference at the end of the day. On a different note, I presume this is using a direct Jupiter image, would there be any chance of modifying it so it doesn't look like a Jupiter clone but obviously has strong resemblance?
  10. Thank you for your continued support! Smokescreen really allows KSP to become a lot more immersive.
  11. Yeah I guess, but even so, as Eve does has such a thick atmosphere, a more uniform cloud layer kind of makes sense rather than discrete cloud boundaries... I just like the top version very much.
  12. I feel like the top one looks more believable but I prefer the darker feel of the bottom choice. Looking at something like this: Link, the top version's cloud layers fit Venus better.
  13. Are you using low opacity textures? Adjust the texture to suit rather than doubling the cloud layer with the same "weak" cloud texture. Just an idea, ignore if not applicable.
  14. I am encountering this quite a lot and all my crashes occur during scene changes. I have uploaded my log here where you can see that at the end of the log it is saying that it is exceeding the 16GB memory usage when GCMonitor was only showing it around 7.5GB usage. I had only boot the game up, loaded a save and tried to fly a craft on the pad. Sometimes I can play for hours no trouble, other times the game crashes about 5 times in an hour always producing the same error message in the log upon crash. Any thoughts?
  15. I hate to do this kind of thing but is there any possibility of someone around with the ability to re-merge and commit RemoteTech XF to update it for RemoteTech 1.6.8 as it seems it is not receiving the same kind of support it used to? I feel dirty making a request.
  16. Cheers for the heads up bud! Also on the cloud compatibility thing, I think it just seems really hard to gain traction when talking about meta articles within the KSP community. I tried to start a conversation about Thread Title/Date standardization and no one cared. Unless its shiny and adds parts it seems no one cares much.
  17. Yeah I guess I can just pull the right config files out of this mod and install them on their own. Personally, I preferred the way the mod was listed before with separate installs for each mod but I can completely understand why it has been changed.
  18. As someone who tweaks the EVE configs for the planets, can I just completely delete the mod checking part of this pack as it keeps throwing hijinks about and my OPM planets revert back to stock as I guess it can't detect which pack to use?
  19. When attaching my SRBs I stick them on the decoupler, then offset the SRB so that the top of the SRB is touching the decoupler then offset the decoupler up higher in the stack. This is pretty much the same as said above.
  20. I am getting this output to the log just before a crash upon load. Is this generated by OPM or by another mod (ATM?) conflicting with OPM?
