Hi all! So im running my game with EVE and while I love it, I stumbled across TextureReplacer. 2 questions if I may... 1...do I only need to download that, as im sure I read somewhere that after installing the replacer, I need other downloads to run with it. 2...will it work with EVE installed? Im running 1.0.2? Thankyou in advance

Mouse wheel not working
maceemiller replied to Thron1's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
My 1.0.2 has not affected my mouse at all. Maybe your mouse is failing? -
If this thread ends now, it does...but thank you to all of you that has commented. Im still 4 hours away from getting back on KSP (family, Sunday meal, quick snooze etc) but I do check this forum minutely lol. Its the most important site on my internet now

How Much Time Have You Spent Playing KSP?
maceemiller replied to SelectHalfling0's topic in KSP1 Discussion
In hours terms not a clue, but I can safely answer your question with "not enough :)" -
1.0.2 has been excellent in my opinion. Im not a hardcore gamer or someone who picks out the bugs. What fascinates me about this is the new aero. Hated it at first but now brilliant. Struggled with the gravity turn at first, but now learnt to be quite aggressive in the turn till 5000. If no update ever arrives, ill still be playing KSP till im put in a box. For me, gaming has reached its finest moment in gaming history

A few months ago I stumbled across KSP. At first I was lost as to what to do! Youtube videos did help me, however once I joined this forum I've learnt much much more! I think the most impressive part of this forum is its members.......you lot! Ive been helped soooo much here, even when asking noob style questions I ought to know, however, unlike other forums I've been on, not one member has mocked the question. That to me is a sign of a great community. Ive managed to introduce a few of my friends to KSP recently and they love it as much as I do, yet the first thing I tell them to do is come here, possibly the greatest forum on earth. Thankyou to each and every one of you, and I honestly mean that

kerbal command seat help
maceemiller replied to maceemiller's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thankyou -
Forgive this totally noob style question but how can I get my kerbal to sit in the command chair pod? I get my kerbal onto the rover but no matter what i try I cant get him to sit, so every time the rover moves he falls off!

How to take control of my rover?
maceemiller posted a topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Hi all. So heres my problem. I want to take a rover to the Mun, so Ive built a "lander" with my rover attatched to the bottom (this lander is only for test purposes on the launchpad). Im using a 0.01 force decoupler to break the rover away which works fine.....the rover lands on the floor and sits there. However, I cant seem to take control of the rover? I have an OKTO 2 pod on it as shown in the pictures yet, even taking Jeb and sitting him on it I cant control the rover. Is it me doing something wrong or.....? -
Nice work my friend! I remember my first orbit - the smile stayed on my face for hours

My first SSTO: the Nightshrike IV
maceemiller replied to JAD_Interplanetary's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Awesome! I have no luck makkng these things so stay with rockets. Looks brilliant imo too -
So, after scanning the Mun for anomalies with SCANSat for the first time, I decided to try and visit one. Having made up my mind on which one, I set off with a simple lander to see if I could get anywhere near it. For some players this may be an easy task, but for me on my first attempt, I was gobsmacked to finally land 1.7KM away from my target! No mechjeb, etc, just stock parts and me!! This game keeps grabbing me in further and further (and I love it!!) Please excuse the graphics, however I did this on my laptop, not my usual gaming PC. As you can see, Jeb is very happy to place his flag right on top!!

Oh my god, was not expecting that!

maceemiller replied to maceemiller's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials

SCANSat grey lines?
maceemiller replied to maceemiller's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yes. I chose what scanner to use this morning as all i want to find is the anomilies. Do I need anything else on my probe other than the scanner itself? And thankyou for your time -
SCANSat grey lines?
maceemiller replied to maceemiller's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
ive had it scan to 100%, yet it only shows grey. when the red line moves upwards and my scan is updated, it just shows a grey line, and ive seen enough videos on YouTube for example to know this is not correct? btw, 250K is an "optimal" height according to the mod info -
How to improve traction on rover wheels?
maceemiller replied to THX1138's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
could you place something heavy like a battery on top of each wheel? Just a thought ive had even if its wrong -
Hi all, and excuse a stupid question, yet im not understanding this. Ive sent a probe up around Kerbin, Polar orbit with plenty of solar panels, batteries etc and a MULTISPECTRAL SENSOR, set it in orbit at 250K and the scan starts correctly with an ideal orbit height, yet the data it shows in the map consists purely of grey lines with no info? what is it im doing wrong? (I want to see the Easter eggs I would like to land next to a Mun arch)
-
Well, I am going to put a scanning satellite in orbit around the mun then send a lander to an arch anomaly (hopefully!)

is ksp better on low end pc in 1.0
maceemiller replied to Tristonwilson12's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
When I cant be bothered to play on my gaming PC, I have a quick go on my laptop (i3, INTEL HD Graphics, 8GB RAM). I have to admit, since upgrading to 1.0.2 I have noticed a huge improvement in lag and graphics
