The issue isn't the animation of a mount, its moving the thing attached to mount. For instance, if you attach something to the doors of a cargo bay. Whatever you attach will remain in place regardless of where the doors are. Landing gear, solar arrays and cargo bay doors use the same animation module. But in order to move something you need a new module, like the one made for IR. That module takes into account where a part is attached and will move it accordingly. But Scoundrel wants to avoid dependencies on other mods, hence his dilemma. And the code work for IR is some rather advanced stuff. (way beyond my abilities for sure)

Dude!! The moving missile rail looks outstanding! I'm a sucker for scale looking builds of just about anything. And that will definitely add the scale appearance. Also might make for a cool part to use for other things. I'm deffinitly looking forward to what's to come. Keep up the great work Scoundrel. Oh, and get well soon man.

Hmm you are the second person to have an issue with that thing.... I'll see if I can just toss a new one together. Now the download is just the bomb bay, not the whole B-2. I ran into some major issues with it in 1.0x so I abandoned it for now. if you want the bomb bay I can see what I can do though.- 214 replies

That's the latest version. I wonder if something got botched in your install. I use this with no issues and I am not a NEAR or FAR user. Are you also using regular old P-wings? I can't recall if they play well with each other. -

Or did you download the working Dev version linked in multiple signatures on the thread? https://bitbucket.org/blowfishpro/b9-aerospace edit: Wow I'm a dummy - This info was for B9 Aerospace not B9 P-wings. I apologize. I'm subscribed to both and just thought I was talking in the other thread. -
Scoundrel I saw the latest GIF of the weapons bays you are working on. Very cool stuff! I don't mean to try and be a yutz so I'm not going to post my video here (I tend to do that too much as it is) but if you go to my channel linked in my sig. And look for V-280. I built a weapon bay similar to what you are trying to model. You only see it for like 2-3 seconds but I'm sure you can figure out how I built it. What I am getting at is you may be able to build it either using existing IR components or you could look into making a couple moving parts of your own. (IR is some complex stuff I unfortunately am not much help there)

This is veering off topic a bit, but. There are some useful mods to control autolanding of planes like Mechjeb. Also there are mods to control relative position as well as vertical height for VTOL's like Horizontal Landing Aid and Vertical Velocity Control. I use a combination of those three for all my videos involving landings. -
It does look kinda like a Cylon ship. Really like the revers swept wings

Do you have any other mods? Also do you have Module manager installed? Sometime MM gets confused so if you delete all the files created by MM and reload that will often take care of issues. And did you install everything in the maintenance port download? You can skip the deprecated folder but everything else needs to be installed.- 4,460 replies
