Is there any way you could change the shape on those boosters? The IRL ones are much more curved and thicker towards the top. I think I pointed this out last R7 iteration but I can't remember how I worded it.

[1.2.2] Em Drive - Resonant Cavity Thruster
VenomousRequiem replied to Beale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Just put it at the end of the tech tree and let it be OP. -
I very much so like that! I enjoy making planes and Airplane Plus and SXT have really made my time something wonderful. Keep up the good work, @blackheart612! You've always been one of my favorite modders.

[1.2.2] Em Drive - Resonant Cavity Thruster

Hmm... this doesn't seem like something you'd do! Good job, Beale. -
No that's his own FX. And Real Plumes isn't handled by Beale,so that's a post for the RP thread.

i wish people would stop bringing me out of my safe zone -- the addon section

They're at where they need to be at to launch in x3.
-
And you told me to just chage my MechJeb settings. I'll try these changes out ASAP.
-
It has plenty of fuel to get into orbit in x3, but it flies so inefficiently it's about 1000m/s short. Besides, x3 doesn't make any difference in not having enough control.
-
Oh lord... Uh... Im playing in a x3 rescale, MechJeb is set up with a 55% turn rate and a minimum pitch of 10°. it had fins. I'm unsure the version of MechJeb... I'm pretty sure it's the latest. I don't know the length or width of the payload but it was around 5 tons. No matter how hard I tried to pitch it would barely budge. I think that's the only info I can remember off the top of my head.
-
I do use MechJeb. I tried both. Also... I beg your pardon?
-
Oh rip, it was late and I wasn't thinking correct. The Union II booster engines and core stage. You say they work correct but don't look right? I have very much trouble steering it.
-
@hraban I think that the vernier engines are set up incorrectly on the first stage. They should only gimbal, from looking at the booster head on, from left and right. They move in and out, as in towards the core stage and away from it. Am i making sense? I think that's only when it's trying to roll. I don't think they really do much at all when trying to pitch or yaw, making it almost impossible to control it.
