  1. With the ip acquisition of KSP, we have a slightly higher chance of getting a mobile device app serving as a vessel creator. It would make the daily commute an order of magnitude more enjoyable. *I base this on my imagination only.

  3. Yeah, this happened last year if I recall correctly. Not connected with the take 2 deal. I've got a KSP mug from cafepress. Very nice quality print. Holds up well with over 18 months of use. sadly I'll never have a shapeways kerbal rocket. Then again legal stuff can take a long time to resolve, so who know how long the deal took to work out. For example: there were unresolved IP issues with Fallout long after Fallout 3 came out.
  4. Not just your GIT account. I've had your Spacedock page open for a few days and have seen the mass update to your mods. Thanks for all your great work!
  5. Have you checked out kspio? I've tinkered with it myself (see link in my signature). I'm no programmer or an electronics expert and found it reasonably easy to get working. This game just keeps inspiring creativity. Also it highlights my poor decision making when pursuing education and career paths.

  9. Career with the Strategia mod. It just focuses on mission types and allows you to largely ignore the contracts and just go with the Strategia objectives if you so wish. I'm looking forward to Making History. Hopefully the touted features make stock career progression less of a grind.
  10. In 1.3 just yesterday, I got the mini.dll crash. Too many mods seemed to be the issue. Removed some mods and was able to play.
  11. I had a mono.dll error immediately after installation of this mod (and custom barn kit for 1.2.2). There were so many mods in that installation that it seems like this addition was merely the one that tipped my system over the edge and into the mohole. Everything was a-ok once a fresh install was implemented and my other mods were reinstalled in clusters. Strategia really brings something engaging to career mode. Thanks Nightingale! Update: the error 0xc0000005 was caused by Texture Replacer

  13. It's a miracle, my thread survived the forum collapse! Well it seems that a year has passed since my last post. I finally finished that pesky accounting diploma. Its taken some adjusting to having guilt free spare time, but I'm getting back into my projects The MDF & Masonite chassis got damaged when something fell on it whilst waiting for my attention, so I've scrapped that plan. My next iteration will most likely be on plywood. I had some inspiration re: the decals and it comes from a tutorial I saw on transferring photos to a wood block. The basic idea is to print the reverse of your design with a laser printer, paste it down with some goop called "Gel Medium". Then dampen the paper and gently rub it off leaving the ink bonded to the Gel Medium which is in turn affixed to the wood. We have a long weekend coming up, so I'm going to give it a shot and will post the results. If that turns out no good, it'll probably be scaled down and placed in that red & white box from the earlier pages in this thread.
  14. Me too, stock contracts just aren't rewarding enough. Take your time, I actually went outside (then to my shed) last weekend and finished the Suitcase Bass Drum that I started late last year
  15. This morning in 1.2.2 I revisited my Minmus 2module base and Eva'd a kerbal. The base started sliding immediately even though the kerbal was on the ground. The modules of the base are all connected via kas. When I moved the kerbal, the base would follow. The slide was halted once the modules were unlinked. At no point was SAS engaged.
  16. I've found that engaging sas on the ground causes vessels to slide. Turning off rectified the problem. Not sure if it's still present in 1.3 though. Don't think I've landed anywhere but in the water so far.
  17. Sounds more or less the same as my desktop. I get 40~ fps in LKO without visual mods and ~20 with the latest Eve release (part count ~ 100). Haven't been to Moho in a very long time. Was wondering if it's time to think about upgrading the card, but it doesn't seem worth the expense.
  18. Howdy Mr regex, Re: the graphics card bit, would more graphics ram be better? I've got a decent CPU (i5-6600k) from last year, but even in stock I can't keep the clock green when looking at a planet. This GTX650 worked fine on .90 but since then it's been less than spectacular. Might try the shader fix in the meantime.
  19. So... I went bananas with all of the fresh mods and it's crashing after reverting to vab few times. Maybe I shouldn't have got so exited when I went to spacedock. Its all looking nice though, and not really anymore crash prone than 1.2.2 as far as I can tell. Now to weed out the culprit. Kopernicus is looking like a likely contributor at the moment (web searches on crash logs tell me so).

  22. While trawling for updated mods for this release, I've found a bunch of really nice looking mods that I never heard of before. Looking forward to trying them all out. My plan is to lob stock only craft at Duna, transfer my kerbals and then transport the save to 1.3 even though the language bit doesn't apply to me bug fixes and easy to read fonts are something to rejoice
  23. I've got a few of these laying about from my yet to be completed kspio simpit. Accountings studies are done, should really pickup the pieces and carry on. This game brings me much joy. The odd bit of frustration too, but that's just part of the process.
  24. Fired up 1.3 for a bit last night. Everything seems good. Much easier to read and the seams are gone. Almost all of my mods are updated already. The only thing in jeopardy is my partially constructed Duna base with MKS/OKS in 1.2.2 Tempting to restart but I've never landed this much hardware on a body outside of Kerbin SOI before. But landing them was awfully innacurate, so I think I'll flip a coin!
