How far have you gone in Kerbal Space Program?
Thomassino replied to Columbia's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Intercepting an interstellar asteroid (custom asteroids config) which was going at 5km/s away from the sun twice the distance from Eeloo's orbit. I made a super fast plasma-powered spacecraft (KSP Interstellar) which had 84km/s dV and rendezvous in just 180 kerbal days. -
Granted, but you can do everything only once, including breath, so you will die in a few minutes I wish I had Witcher senses

LegAlone90 ... where is the rest of your body?

Kerbal Solar system cannot exist as it is in the game in n-body physics system. Some of Jool's moons would get ejected. Also, I'm not sure how kerbal planets, which are a LOT denser than real life ones (Kerbin has density around 70g/cm^3 AFAIK) can naturally be formed. Even if it existed, and life would emerge on Kerbin, it is very unlikely that it would evolve into kerbal-style humanoids. Kerbals have very small legs and running ability (which is essential for evolutionary stable lifeform) would be somewhat lower. Also, kerbals' big heads would be their disadvantage too, as they need a very strong neck and legs to hold up. So, Kerbal universe as we know it and love, probably could't exist in any of infinite parallel universes. Even infinite combinations are not infinite, when you account for natural laws and physics.

On the similar note, I was wondering whether is it possible to put an object into Pluto-Charon barycenter. Could that object be on a relatively stable position for a short amount of time, for example 1 year? What are your opinions on this scenario?

Good names for Urlum (Outer Planet Mod Uranus Analog) Probe
Thomassino replied to davidy12's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Ouranos or Uranus... Kerbals have no idea Urlum is its KSP analogue. Or use Better Tomorrows, or Far Horizons. Those were my Jool probes. -

[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Thomassino replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hello! Ash, have you been thinking about making NH a binary system? I think it would be cool to have like M-class red dwarf sharing a close barycenter with Kerbol (using Sigma's binary tool). Though it will certainly render Ernus orbit unstable if KSP were using n-body physics. Also, I cannot send you a PM, your inbox is full. I have created an alternate NH cloud config, which I'd like to send you. -
I haven't played KSP for a week now, Witcher 3 keeps me addicted

Don't wait for contracts to go to another places, go there by yourself! You don't have to follow contracts as they appear. -

There is another idea of having big mirrors on Mars' orbit reflecting light on surface, especially on poles full of solid CO2 and creating greenhouse effect, thus warming the planet. But I think nuking it is a better idea. It would cost a lot less to put like 800 bombs on Mars, than to warm it using mirrors. An as a dreamer who sees humankind scattered across many worlds of Solar system, I support idea of terraforming Mars.

For Questions That Don't Merit Their Own Thread
Thomassino replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Hello I have just seen a bright flash of light in the night sky. It lasted for a less than half a second and was very bright (I'd say something around -5 magnitude) any idea what it could have been? I was wondering maybe a meteor heading right towards me or a piece of spinning space debris reflected sunlight... -
7/10 I see you quite often in forum games.

Hello! I'd like to suggest having a button to extend/retract solar panels on a vessel, like we have on gears and lights. Do you agree?

Who else doesn't Time Warp to Interplanetary Transfers?
Thomassino replied to CoriW's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yes, I used to play this way and it annoyed me so much when I had almost whole techtree finished in about half a kerbal year harvesting science from Mun and Minmus...and only launched one interplanetary Duna lander. Kerbal Construction Time solved it for me though... my new career now feels more like realistic space program. -
It should really be called uncleverbot... some of its answers are... well... meh One hint: Do not call it a robot, you will ignite an discussion which would not be very pleasant
