I'm not everytime in a mood to play KSP. Sometimes, when I finally get home, or I have no idea what to do, I just watch a stream and not design spaceships and fly them.

This again? WISE infrared orbital telescope did a whole sky scan in 2012 with capabilities of finding Neptune-sized object all the way to 700AU, and Jupiter sized object to approximately 1 lightyear. And it haven't found any big object out there. There is a theory called Nemesis which says that Sun is gravitationally bound to a small red dwarf star, which returns on its elliptical orbit into Solar system every 26 million years causing extinctions on Earth. That star would have been visible by a small telescope if it existed, not even talking about WISE IR scans. The same thing goes for a brown dwarf in outer Solar system. I don't think we will find anything beyond the size of Mercury or Mars out there. Accretion disc around young Sun was very scattered so far away and it couldn't form anything big IMO.

Oh, a L.O.T. AV Pack offers those textures in 8k. 4k and 2k. I used 8k just for the sake of it and on a clean install only with NH and AV Pack it was crashing on loading I must turn down settings to half-res and used ATM... but this is extreme, there is 6 different 8k layers on Sonnah and Jool (default) and 2, or so, on Kerbin. But I think you might use NH cloud textures. If you'll be crashing, try to remove cloud textures you don't currently use (they are located in BoulderCo/Clouds/Textures) for example, when you are going to Lave (you made a nice pictures from there ) you'll erase Vanor, Moh etc... Fingers crossed!

Keep trying. KSP, especially when you are a new player, is mostly about trial and error. In this case, Jeb's motto will help you: "Moooar boooosters!!!" Also, try to land on Minmus first. It needs only a bit more fuel to get to, but its miniscule, so you can land and return with much less fuel than from the Mun. And don't call yourself an idiot. Everybody has been there when starting to play KSP

254: Kerbals have invented a slingshot. 255: First theories about space slingshot appeared. 256: Construction of Giant Space Slingshot (GSS) begins. 259: GSS is completed. Jebiah, son of Obadiah has volunteered as a test pilot. After extensive testing and hard training consisted mainly of his body reaction to various snacks and slingshot shooting, Jebiah climbed into GSS. All systems were nominal, and when the countdown reached 0, slingshot fired. Nobody has seen Jebiah since. This was the day when Kerbals discovered ram heating.

IMO, KSP still lacks one feature - eclipse shadows. Whenever I see Kerbin eclipsing Mun, and Mun is fully lit like nothing is happening, I feel the pain of millions of souls dying...

Let's hope you are right. But RTGs and nuclear reactors are relatively different things and reactors in space can unfortunately cause next kerfuffle (brilliant word ) and public hatred.

Yes it is. The Space Shuttle could make an orbit if one or two of its main engines failed during the launch. However, this was possible only when it was already travelling very fast in space. If an engine failed during atmospheric flight, they had multiple abort scenarios. It had fortunately happened only once on STS 51-F ... RS-25 is a reliable beast

I usually do it like NASA does, for example, I had a craft named MIWASP (Minmus WAter Search Program). Or sometimes I name them as I want. My Jool probe was named Better Tomorrows.
