Absolutely. I like realism, thus every manned mission MUST have some kind of abort mechanism... heck, I even put sepratrons on my shuttle to pull it away from stack if something happened.

Nice! Glad to see other people are working on KSP beautification as well. Keep up the great work -
[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Thomassino replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I vote for 2nd option. Ground textures need some work and maybe some new bodies should be added around Sonnah (small Gilly-style asteroids or maybe an Io analog very close to Sonnah...). I'd love to see NH sun to be a close binary with maybe a small red dwarf. I know you don't really want to add another bodies into basic NH mod so I suggest something like New Horizons Plus I love NH, it's my favourite planet pack and I'd be very sad if it was to be abandoned. -
What celestial body will you add into KSP?
Thomassino replied to ForumUser's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Planetoid in Jool's L4 or L5. Maybe Duna-sized, icy surface, thin methane atmosphere. I know, I know, KSP doesn't model n-body physics but you can fake Lagrange points. Or add a neutron star... because why not? -
Hohmann Shmohmann - who else uses high energy transfer courses?
Thomassino replied to nadreck's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I usually tweak them into "sweet spot", where transfers doesn't take so long and dv requirements aren't too big. But when I was playing with KSP Interstellar, oh boy, that was a whole different story. I managed to get an encounter with asteroid hurtling outwards from the Sun at 5km/s at 5 times distance of Eeloo in 163 days. -

Am I missing something? Anyway to see the SOI?
Thomassino replied to Buster Charlie's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Kopernicus has a tool to highlight SOIs, it is supposed to be a debug tool for overlapping SOIs but it can probably be used to solve your problem. -
What is the highest ore concentration on Minmus?
Thomassino replied to Jeb!'s topic in KSP1 Discussion
Oh this new forum system... I accidentally wrote a reply into quote, sorry -
What is the highest ore concentration on Minmus?
Thomassino replied to Jeb!'s topic in KSP1 Discussion
I've found a site containing 10.76% ore. Guess where am I constructing my base right now? -

I thought it worked only in stock. Thanks for informing me, I'll try it. -
[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Thomassino replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Thanks for looking at 64k config... BTW, rings are messed up there too. -
160Km is altitude where ScaledSpace textures are loaded, I think it can be tweaked in Kopernicus files.

Active Texture Management now useless?
Thomassino replied to A_name's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Yeah, It could be true. I was recently testing a new install with some mods. When I loaded it up (without ATM) RAM usage went to 3,1GB in main menu. When I installed ATM and restarted, RAM usage was 3,25GB. -
Interesting idea, I'll definitely give this a try

I just want to say happy new year to every KSP player out there! Let this year be even better than the year before

[1.3] [Kopernicus] New Horizons v2.0.1 [2JUN17] - It's Back!
Thomassino replied to KillAshley's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Good luck with that -
Yes, you're right. It's gotta be hard to exactly measure since galactic center is covered by interstellar clouds and you just can't drop a still marker outside Sun's SOI
-
Well, if you look at the config, especially at : _CityOverlayDetailScale { value = 45 } its value is 45... 45... 4+5=9... 9=32 !! Coincidence? I think not!
