Wow, I've been working on a 10 ton launch vehicle, but I think I can upgrade it to 40 tons. How flexible are you about stages? Say, if I only used two stages? Or used two stages and multiple cores? I've updated my installed mods, adding FASA and removing all other part packs.

With procedural parts, it's fairly easy. Just download it and play around with it. If you can't get that to work, make a request in the spacecraft exchange for an easy-to-fly RSS rocket, there will be plenty of people happy to oblige.

It takes about 9.3-10 km/s Delta-v to orbit, and about 1.4 km/s delta-v to suborbital. Not quite sure where the 7 km/s came from. The third satellite in orbit was Explorer 1, however Canada, in 1962, was the third country to launch ANY satellite. Very interesting, still not the third satellite. After that though... It's annoying to hear that kind of stuff.

Before 1900. Kerbals just spend more on rocket development than humans, and were able to invent simple rockets well before electric wheels and light-weight retractable ladders.

Stock-alike realism overhaul: Patches all RO engines back to easy and modular designs. Removes ullage, engine ignitions, and weird fuels. Also, turns Earth back into Kerbin!

Hey, @ZooNamedGames, I have a question about RSP: I see you have positions for a mission control-style thing, but what about your rockets? What are going to launch payloads on? Because I would happy to collaborate on building RSS/RO rockets with you/anyone who's signed up.
