About that... When it's in the water the water level is about where it is on a real sub (i.e. halfway up the crew compartment) so it looks like this when in the water: So it needs to be filmed on dry land.(Unless it's sinking) Thanks!

Here's my nuclear submarine, it has an interior, torpedoes and missles. But enough talk, here's a album: To launch it you need to get it into the water, I use hyperedit, but anything would work. Stage to activate the engines. This submarine cannot dive, and is very slow, it's mostly a showpiece. Good luck getting kerbals into it, they can walk in it when it's in the water. The next stage will launch the torpedoes. The rest of the stages launch missles in groups. Enjoy! Download

Exactly! When I'm testing a new craft I keep KSP alt-entered and just tab to settings on the forums, on longer missions I full-screen KSP, though.

That's a clever trick, I've used the black coloration of those myself, but not as a heatshield. When I do use them, I always amazed by the lag, they seem to be super laggy. Actually, if the heat isn't to high, they could be a true ablative heatshield.
