How will I survive? [UPDATE]: I'm back!
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to cubinator's topic in The Lounge
Are you going to the Udvar-Hazy, or the NASM? I've been to the Udvar-Hazy, it has an amazing density of planes. It also has a SR-71 and a space shuttle, but it doesn't have the Apollo CM. -
How about a counter that counts up 1 every server processor cycle where there is not a click? That would literally count the number of times the thread was not clicked.

Definitely worth it.

Sounds like I'll be buying that.

When I install a new version, I just copy the mods over from the last version, and then update the broken ones.

I don't quite know what you mean. If you just don't like dropbox, I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do. Dropbox doesn't need an account or anything, if the download button just isn't working, you could try a different browser. I'm glad you got it to work.

I'm looking at The Magic Circle, The Wayward Strategist, and Infinifactory. Thoughts?

These forums don't allow direct image uploads. So you have to embed an image from an external source, many people use imgur, since you don't need an account. Putting imgur's direct link in a post should auto-embed it.

KSP has unrealistic/distorted 3D rendering
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to thereaverofdarkness2's topic in KSP1 Discussion
IIRC, the default FOV was made much more wide-angle in 1.1. I just always alt-mousewheel until I like it. -
Is it just me, or are people "snip"ing quotes less?
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to Tw1's topic in Kerbal Network
Here's a amazing trick I learned for this: Inside a quote you want to split, press enter where you want to split it. Then move the cursor to the blank line created by the enter. Press enter again, and the quote splits into two. -
The Saga of Emiko Station - Complete
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to Just Jim's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Amazing chapter! You've outdone yourself again. Probably vesselmover would be a bit easier. -
Do you spend time Alt-Tabbed out?
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to THX1138's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks! -
Do you spend time Alt-Tabbed out?
Mad Rocket Scientist replied to THX1138's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That's not just for you. There was a thread about it a while back, I think, and it happens to me too. Yes, I alt-tab over to the forums while playing all the time. -
1.1.3 is out! Time to look for easter eggs! Since my pack is 3.75m throughout, if I use 3.75m tanks, I never have to use compound tanks, and the smoothness is worth the inaccurate color. I was working on that for a while, but I got tired of fiddling with it. I'll go back to it when I'm tired of testing. I'm happy to see it being used!

Kerbal Space Program patch 1.1.3 is now available!

Thanks for fixing that "parts disappearing when behind fairings" bug. -

I figured this out a while ago (actually, maybe I read about it somewhere) when I was trying to find a prettier replacement for stock 3.75m tanks. Basically, you attach a mk3 tank where you want, then you attach a mk3 cargo bay, rotated 90 degrees, of the same length to the end of the tank. Then you offset the cargo bay along the axis of the tank, so they overlap. There is some z-fighting, so I offset the cargo bay down the smallest amount possible.
