Please take over your RO questions to the Realism Overhaul thread, @Shadowmage stated in his OP that RO related questions won't get support here. (And on a side note: SSTU is currently incompatible with RO since RO relies on FAR and @ferram4 didn't have the time to incorporate Shadowmage's fixes for SSTU into FAR yet - and with 1.2 on the horizon it might be worth waiting for it to drop anyway )

[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
Theysen replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
General question / feedback - which I am sure you guys are aware of already - now with the new fuel flow rules , say a small fuel tank with an oscar-tank on the side now automatically crossfeeds fuel from it to the engine, this behaviour is not currently not calculated by KER, workaround is to attach the fuel line like we used to do and get the correct dv . Will the whole resource flow need an overhaul or is this something you can change rather easily? -

The v1.2 Hype Train Thread - Prerelease is Out
Theysen replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
The new rocket parts look perfectly fine ingame to me. Really really nice work! (Of course this is a separate install just to drop the download inside of it, won't bother testing the game on it )- 1,592 replies

They had a nice VAC wave today on CS:GO servers so I am more than pleased whatever Valve does with Steam these days- 1,592 replies

The v1.2 Hype Train Thread - Prerelease is Out
Theysen replied to Whirligig Girl's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Remember, if you opt in it's for testing purposes only. Pure stock experience and *test all the things for bugs \o/", no actual base for a normal playthrough. Seems to drown a little in here what's the purpose behind it.- 1,592 replies

As I said, click inside the Diameter field, not on the arrows. At about 1/4 of the bar when you're on diameter of 1.25 it snaps to 1.4375m.
-
@tater, Okay then I think we have different mods? When you set the tank adapter to Soyuz and the diameter to 1.4375 everything is set to correct scale. I cannot follow your reproduction steps unfortunately and thus cannot see why the engine mount needs to be 1.25m. Assemble it like this and everything is fine, Soyuz is oddly shaped in real life. http://imgur.com/a/qtNGq It's a mouse click inside of the diameter field, but it snaps to 1.4375m.
-
Hm, every other Soyuz mod for stock KSP is at the 1.875m diameter scale and coming very close to the 2.66m real life diameter times 0.64 factor. For SSTU it's the preset for 1.4735m for diameter and all engines are set to that as well. So I don't really see where you think that is the issue @tater ? Might be on my end not understanding what you mean with flush, all SSTU parts are perfectly matching.
-
Is that so? Parts of the stream that I saw had really good wheel physics and no random explosions, no sliding and anomalies. Other parts of the stream involved hacking gravity and landing at 100m/s nose first, don't know what is to be expected from kerbal wheels to endure I'd say we better wait for public experimentals and mod devs like @Shadowmage can put their findings into feedback and give a realistic opinion on it.
-
They'll be in the release version and everyone is like 'Surprise!' because revamps shouldn't break anything and such, right? Okay, one can still hope and dream

Check out SSTU mod, it offers to have 20 engines as one part and thus increasing performance.
-
No, it is disabled for RO engines because of issues that occured and would occur if it was enabled. There will be no change to that I think.
-
Here is the Git folder inside RealismOverhaul: https://github.com/KSP-RO/RealismOverhaul/tree/master/GameData/RealismOverhaul/RO_SuggestedMods/CoatlAerospace As you can see @Phineas Freak worked on them and regarding his last post in this thread a page before this I'd assume he is also working on the new update. (Mad props to him, he configures almost every new mod that comes out it feels like)
-
Just out of interest - are you on the recommended hard career mode? Other than that, yeah this is a part which would make ksp lean more towards a real space management program and add a new gameplay mechanic. I'd like it. Strategia offers something like that, but might be too focused for what there is right now in terms of contracts and what can be done in the game.

[1.12.5] Cormorant Aeronology - Mk3 Space Shuttle
Theysen replied to Pak's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Did you also add the correct masses and such? I just wanted to get started with upscaling and ROifing all the parts but didn't check the masses of the stock one. If @Pak used all real masses and stockified them it would be a bliss, if not we need to find all those for RO. Going with the shuttle replica first it's okay if the body mass comes roughly to the real structural mass when building an exact replica out of stock parts and SLB.- 2,351 replies

Is this in a stock scale? I tend to have way too much delta v if I try to build sane in stock.

[1.12.x] TAC - Life Support v0.18.0 - Release 19th Sep 2021
Theysen replied to JPLRepo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
That's pleasing news! Great to see active maintenance and development for TAC-LS again -
Try SMURFF. (Though I highly suggest RO )
