Hello - I'm having some problems when I try and edit Kerbin's PQS to change maxLevel from 10 to 6. 1) Here are the .CFG files related to the problem and also the ModuleManager configCache: https://www.dropbox.com/s/93187x25p1t8gf7/Offending CFGs.zip?dl=0 2) MODLIST: CTTP (terrain) Environmental Visual Enhancements INSTANTIATOR (Adds an accretion disk around one of my gas giants. Probably not related, but MM picks it up) Kerbal Joint Reinforcement Kittopiatech Kopernicus MFI Gameslinx Planet Pack (Olei and Olei-Gaia folders) Scatterer Texturereplacer WarpEverywhere Items in bold are dependencies for my planet mod to function as intended. 3) KSP Logs: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zecy8a3w801os78/KSP and Kopernicus LOGS.zip?dl=0 4) Config Cache is included in the first dropbox link. 5) Kopernicus logs are included in the second dropbox link 6) Gamedata screenshot: The issue is that the PQS maxLevel = 10 is not changed to maxLevel = 6. This problem was identified by no change in terrain and kittopiaTech still reads that maxLevel = 10 ingame. Help would be appreciated, thanks! -

I actually have both in the config. Perhaps [Gaia] is causing MM to freak out? I'll try removing Gaia from it and just use @Body[Kerbin]{} @Kopernicus:AFTER[Kopernicus] { @Body[Kerbin] { @PQS { minLevel = 2 maxLevel = 6 minDetailDistance = 6 maxQuadLengthsPerFrame = 0.03 } } @Body[Gaia] { @PQS { minLevel = 2 maxLevel = 6 minDetailDistance = 6 maxQuadLengthsPerFrame = 0.03 } } } (The above is the config I am using) -

Hmm - in applying an edit by typing @Kopernicus, @Body, @PQS, which means I'm editing/updating the PQS {} part of the config, so from what I see it should work... Do I need the @Kopernicus:FINAL to make sure the patch is applied after the config loads? -

It uses CTTP Beach and Beach_normal textures. If you look closely at the terrain it looks incredibly stretched. After checking the CTTP folder the stretching is not because of the textures - I think it is a config issue but I'm not sure. Some others reported this issue using my planet pack Thanks for looking, though - I'll see if using the built-in textures fixes it- 4,170 replies

Hello! I'm having some trouble changing the minLevel and maxLevel of the PQS for one of my planets. It uses Kerbin as the template and when I change maxLevel to 6, it is still 10 in game. Here's the code I have in the config: PQS { minLevel = 2 maxLevel = 6 } And, since that did nothing (Kittopia still says that maxLevel is 10), I added a script in a new .CFG file: @kopernicus { @Body[Gaia] { @PQS { minLevel = 2 maxLevel = 6 } } } (Please excuse the formatting, the mobile forum doesn't let me add 'code' into posts. Help would be appreciated - I think I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure what. -

Hey everyone! I managed to fix the PQS terrain pixellation, all because I forgot two '@'s.... Yep... EDIT: Turns out that fixing this (turning maxLevel = 10 to maxLevel = 6) also reduces lag drastically. Awesome! Screenies: The sun follows the ring's curve down, all day, every day.- 2,454 replies

His specs: Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 i7 4790K overclocked to 4,7ghZ (watercooled) 16 GB RAM DDR3 2x SSD (840 Evo, 850 Evo) 1x 1 TBB HDD Sounds coming from your PC like that are bad - it could be that one of your HDD platters (inside the drive) is scraping against something metallic. Could just be the sound you hear when electricity is flowing (I can't describe it well, but my friend's house has a sound like that because of his electrics) If your loading bar gets completely stuck, just reinstall the game. -
