I think I just realized how to control SRB thrust!
VincentMcConnell replied to VincentMcConnell's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I\'m going to shirt cannery today to make that, actually. It\'ll have a picture of Jeb on it, too. I\'m going to make 7 so I can wear one every day! lol. They\'d all be different, of course. -
Our Best Estimates in the study of Kerbals

Guys, they have chlorophill (Is that how to spell it?) in their cells... Problem solved. -
I\'m downloading wings 3d right now. I want to try to make my first mod as just a small little 1 Meter fuel tank to see if I can do it. Once I\'ve made the model, how do I texture, import into KSP and give it part parameters?

Hey Ping, what\'s up with you and Kerbals reproducing and being naked these past two days? LOL

LOL. -
This may be in the wrong place. While it might need to be in how to, I figure I\'ll ask anyway. Is it possible to modify a capsule so there is only a crew of two on board? For my first EVA mission, I want a 2 man crew and wasn\'t sure if it was possible.

Kosmo-Not recommended it to me a while back. I haven\'t looked to another screen recorder since. It\'s how I shoot all my HD KSP videos. http://www.youtube.com/user/unparallelshadows. (My username is a sarcastic joke. I don\'t believe the moon landings were faked. I\'m not that stupid lol). -

I was thinking more about in-flight, but sure. Also, what screen recorder are you using? Hypercam? I recommend MSI Afterburner. You\'ll get quality *much* more superior. -

Good luck dropping into orbit or landing on the Mun and Minmus if you\'re opposed to slowing velocity... -

LOL. I don\'t even consider those lines cheesy. Those are funny and awesome. -
Kerbal Space Program: The New SRB effects are awesome! (HD!) In addition to the totally epic new effects on the Solid Rocket Boosters, the engines look really cool when they get red hot. Also, staging is great. My favorite part of this video is when the radial SRBs drop away. It\'s really short and I just felt like uploading. The mission parachuted down after a maximum altitude of only 12,000 meters or so. This was just a little demo.

Be the first person to land my UNTESTED Lunar Module 'Spider' on the surface of the Mun and return! I haven\'t even done it yet. The first person to land it and safely return gets their name posted on here. Here\'s the .craft. Goodluck. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/76061308/Spider%20Lander.zip Congratulations to FIFFLETHECAT for not only being the first to land the Spider Lunar Module, but on his first Mun landing and return!

I want something like this, too, actually. I hope they make it. Good suggestion.
-
I can\'t believe I didn\'t think about this before... If you can get from the Mun to Minmus, that is the best practice for an interplanetary missions. Imagine the sun being Kerbin, Mun being Kerbin and Minmus being Eve.

Best Rocketry and/or Spacecraft documentary
VincentMcConnell replied to noneyabidnis's topic in The Lounge
I know. We were born much too late. I would love to have been one of the people who made the things they flew on Apollo. I would rather have been an astronaut, but solving problems like 'how do we get to the moon with this?' would still be awesome. -
My under construction kerbal space program blog.
VincentMcConnell replied to VincentMcConnell's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Didn\'t really think about that. I shall see if I can change the URL. -
I have a lot of work to do, but after only a few posts I decided to release it. You can expect more interesting stories, and the technical post is a VERY rare example of complicated posts that you may not ever see again. Although, I hope it was useful to some of you guys. Anyway, I\'ll be doing a lot of posts there and the next page I plan to construct is the 'Share your Experiences here' page to make the blog a little more interactive. Comments can be used, or you can email me, submit your story and have a guarantee it will be posted. Happy Launching. http://kerbalspaceprogram.wordpress.com/

You\'ve made it to the Mun millions of times but you don\'t know how to get into orbit?
-
Thank you Candre. I was very frustrated. When I came up with my little plan to calculate it, I sent an email to check my calculations with my Uncle who teaches Orbital Mechanics at MIT. Looks like you beat him to it. I\'ll be doing one more Hohmann transfer just to back my calculations and then I don\'t have to go to bed annoyed. haha.
