Well... here is the reason why : Artemis is already part of my collection. For a short time I hesitate to call the newest of the ship Bios, the name of Artemis arc.

Hi everyone, As promise I tried to share more with you and come today with the Diane Mk I, a small, simple three stages spacecraft named after the Roman goddess of hunting. She is able to reach a 400 km circular orbit (well, in theory, as now she was only placed on a 200 x 200 orbit during the inaugural flight) to deliver two passengers with a good amount of Δv remaining. A linear Clamp-O-Tron is available for transferts. All stages a recoverable with Stage Recovery. But with a cost of 96198 at launch for just two free seats this little goddess is more a luxurious vehicle than a practical one. An album of the inaugural flight can be found here : http://imgur.com/a/vMUKv The main objective was to try a tailless craft at low and high speed in Kerbin atmosphere and the Z-axis conduct is decent. Now two problems appear during this test flight. First a bug, unknown to me, displaced the canards, making the re-entry an incredible stressful experience with the craft crazily banking on the starboard. It has been corrected in the VAB after the flight. Second point is the FL-T800 tank was passing through the Mk1 cabin and touching the Mk1 Clamp-O-Tron, and it makes the last one the be off-centered from the fuselage and making the whole craft the wobble like I never seen before. Instead I replace it by two FL-T400, but didn't have the time to test it on a second flight. If everything runs well I will be able to share Diane with you on the next Monday.

SCI-LON micro C4 - My first upload
XB-70A replied to CdrFuzz's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Nice looking and able to reach 250 x 250. It's an awesome little one. -
Thanks Castille! I tried a re-entry yesterday with Jeb' as a more experienced pilot, everything is more easier like this than with a no stars pilot. (This bunch of metal only want to gain altitude when you reach the thicker levels of Kerbin atmosphere...)

Thank you Heinkel. i have uploaded a small update after having tested the first live docking. Most important is the integration of a Commutron 16, the first version was lacking any communications capabilities. Plenty of fuel remaining.

Those Kraken colours... I've seen that the LGBT sometimes add a Q for queers, should it becomes the LGBTQK for Krakens?

Thanks everyone, It's really nice to read positive reviews from experienced members like you. I would like to share more in the next days but my professionnal life gives me one day off at best, and most of the time its to complete paperwork ( )... Sorry about all those orthographic and syntaxic errors in the orginal post, it's corrected. I should re-read what I am wroting each time before posting or stop playing KSP and go online after a straight 13H working day... or both.

Hi everyone, Well, after so many craft downloaded on many sites I thought it was time to bypass this kind of shyness I got and start to share some files with you. So here comes the X-36 Arethuse, a full stock three seats simple spacecraft, nammed in honor of one of the most famous nymph and able to reach a 200x200 km orbit without any difficulties. The rear port will however requires you to maneuvrate retrograde for docking, do not worry two Linear RCS Ports can provide thrust forward and another one, placed in the nose, is available to go back. The remaining RCS ports will provide a full 3-axis maneuvrabilty . An album is available : http://imgur.com/a/dcEwj And the craft can be found on KerbaX : https://kerbalx.com/XB-70A/Sleg-X-36-Arethuse Hope you enjoy it.

He's my favorite one in the male Kerbal section : Ok, ok... I admit it... I change this Kerbal name with the notepad in persistent, cause I really wanted a Sergei P. in my team.
-
And you weren't, I tend to like self-criticism to remember "Dang! You missed that too!".
-
Ughhh, it's hard now that you ask about... I start under 0.90 at the beginning of May 2015 then quickly stop due to a new job then restart only under 1.0.2. I missed nearly everything, including the Great Kerbal Leap Forward of 1.0 .

A Mammoth plus two S3-14400 with just a Stayputnik at guidance?! THIS IS AWESOME!

Advantages of TSTO piggyback spaceplanes
XB-70A replied to MedwedianPresident's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I use both, with a preference for the fat TSTO during a long time... then I discovered that smaller and lighter can also be funnier. I past my time with the tiny SSTO now instead. I got some shots in stock by the way. The Raven was possible to use as a complete SSTO by keeping the SRB when the load was low or if it was a crew transfert, I jetisson them if it was a freight/heavy payload. The Vulture just was bigger Raven but purely single stage : The Kolibri Mk I was dedicated to simple crew relay and datas transferts : The Kolibri Mk II is just a bigger one for crew rotations : I got many others in hangars now being totaly "stockalized" to not be anymore annoyed with parts missing during mods updating. -
To me the problem was perfectly summed by a French humorist years ago : You can laugh about everything, but not with everybody. The fact is that we are not crying or laughing at the same subjects around the world. I use to be addict to dark humor and the Brits just are some of the best to me, on the other side I find pee-pee/poo-poo jokes the worst. Now, for my part, this don't have to be change until a referendum/poll could be proposed to the users and that the majority is to correct this mistake.
-
It's sure that is incorrect but I don't really see the problem as KSP don't offer us any ways to realize a precision approach and landing. Doing it in manual I just take the FDM as a reference like if a PAPI was available and touch on it or shortly after when I am with the fatties and the ones with poor gliding performances. Like this an approach RWY 09 or 27 stay the same. For my part I use to land 27 most of the time due to an overshoot addiction, and also that if I need to loose energy by maneuvers and abuse of it (which happen nearly all the time due to the keyboard input precision) I still can try a water landing.

New KSC Building Idea!
XB-70A replied to TheJangleMan's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Many of us are using add-ons to compensate that. If a new building could be to much, for my part I would L-O-V-E to get the possibility to upgrade the tracking station and realize my flight-plans from here, it will be a point to, personally, say Ciao! to MechJeb after so much time of nice co-working together. -
My idea will be to load kinetic or conventional projectiles but, well, the sole concept of OBS (and their path which could be routed) is for more than forty years now out of date on the strategic plan, without counting the extremely limited possibility of daily targets which could be hit without changing the orbit. And an OBS dedicated to tactical situations doesn't have any sens for the same reasons of limited shooting windows plus an infernal cost per rounds. For a much more older war-divinity you could go for Týr/Ziu, less famous but also less deeply disfigured than Thor and Odin by a certain comic. No. 6 of the 60 cm Karl-Gerät heavy self-propelled mortar got that name : The old-German name of Odin, Wotan, got a certain charm also.
-
About the "Service and resupply of the sattelite" question, I will go for a design like a barrel speedloader. Each projectiles will be connect to a common center which will be separated from the main plateforme after the last round is drop. A new complete barrel will be connected soon after. This would prevent the system to be operational for a while during the reload but would simplify the process, and as most (if not all) OBS are reserved to strategic situations with pre-defined targets this is not so much a problem.

[1.6.1] Reentry Particle Effect 1.4 (2019-02-12)
XB-70A replied to pizzaoverhead's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Absolutely, I am still running under that version and the mod is perfectly compatible. You can see the old small landing gears here. -
The first one (screenshot0) has been taken by chance in 1.0.2, while pushing the F keys out of curiosity : But the first desired screenshot is that one :

It remember an extract from the 60's-70's French TV serie The Aeronauts (Les Chevaliers du Ciel) where the main characters are send in Belgium to test the new Mirage 5BA, and the splendid touch-roll-touch demonstration is made by William “Bill” Ongena onboard a Starfighter :

Override the parts loading constraint
XB-70A replied to XB-70A's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Thanks Alshain, it's the information I was looking for. The idea was to replace the parts in the SPH/VAB only, and in most of the case these are monop' RCS, or a tank. I got to many bad experiences in the past about throwing parts from mods away then discovering that an active ship still have one or more and disappeared with its whole crew... Still by curiosity, as this proposition seems to be unrealizable without investing in greater efforts than the results they will return, could it be possible to launch a sub-program only running the SPH and/or VAB ? The biggest problem with that part missing problem is to relaunch and wait for KSP to load all the modules. Coudn't it be possible to load only the hangars ? And then replace the parts from it. Of course as the parts are with in the modules it will just give a few minutes less of waiting in the best cases. -
Five days ago now (and the last play since) I've realized that, just like in the real life for me, I used to give a lot more interest to the other corps than Kerbin. So two stations were launched, trying to correct that. Orbital Laboratory Bravo is orbiting at 120 km on a 51 degrees inclination. Boreas at 150 km on a polar orbit and was (a lot?) inspired by Salyut 1. Both are stock-only and have their own propulsion. They also change me a lot as I used to place all my former stations since 0.90 on orbits between 200 and 500 km. First rendez-vous with Orbital Laboratory Bravo. Alignment with the port. As many players had already enjoy, I found that in most situations my dockings happen in the dark side of Kerbin... ... so I place a projector inside the docking port this time. O.L. Bravo got its own casino-like light party. The scientist can now go to the cargo bay and bring the datas back even in the dark. M4435 Narrow-Band Scanner, Mystery Goo, Double-C Seismic Accelerometer, PresMat Barometer and a GRAVMAX Negative Gravioli Detector are available in the cargo bay to feed the laboratory. Circularization and corrections are able with the "Poodle". Four "Twitch" are also present for vectoring and a little thrust help. The X200-16 fuel tank was more than enough for such a low orbit, about 3/4 of the capacity remain availables. Bob Kerman still feels pretty good after staying for more than two minutes close to the working scanner. Just a bit warm but still well... oh, he just told us that his ears are now sizzling, pretty surprising. No damages revealed during the tour. Boreas, second station of the day and much more simple. But the Illuminators help so much for the docking to O.L.B. that they are now a must have to me. A capacity of eight crew members, three docking port and four Mk-55 "Thud" to circulize at 150 km. The cargo bay got even more science parts than Bravo. I should send the first crew here with a new SSTO when my work will grants me bit of free time again.

Override the parts loading constraint
XB-70A replied to XB-70A's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Couldn't it be possible to create some kind of a "procedural" part who could take the place of it? Imitating the diameter and adjusting the lenght. At their best my electronic and informatic knowledges stand to weld and create small radios for the kids and editing .cfg files respectively, far from knowing how to create even a basic 8-bit game. This suggestion was more a curiosity than a "I wan' it NOW". Same situation here. I've started to build stock-only craft some times ago due to a fed-up of parts-mods updates and much more the fact some these updates were erasing old parts for new, unrecognized, ones.
