  1. Hey everybody. Just wanna give you a quick update.

I haven't been updating this mod lately partly because of vacation and partly due to school. But I should start getting to work on modding sometime next week; I've had ideas about how to handle the newest and latest bodies in this system.

But 1.4 should be out before November ends for sure. I'm thinking about other little features to add in the meantime, such as mod compatibility and the like. DOE and PlanetShine should be coming soon, as may Scatterer.

Now I just have one question for y'all: how would you feel about Easter eggs?

  2. Hey guys, just some updates. I've been revamping a couple of bodies that I've found to be a bit lacking, such as Eurbon, Dyva, etc. I rushed a product to coincide with a space probe launch, which in retrospect was far from a good idea. So 1.3.1 will definitely have a few new revamped bodies, science defs, etc. Have a great day, y'all!

Interplanet Janet says no... for now... and there's only one planet that has an atmosphere so most of it just are V O I D.

I can make Scatterer configs for Ervo, don't worry. They should be easy compared to DMagic defs, of which there are many.

    And Parallax configs? it's a no-no

It's not a no-no per se... if I do install Parallax, I'll definitely make sure to get some configs out.

  3. Hello @Nertea. I just noticed there seems to be a problem with your Commutotron 88-88. It appears extended in the VAB, which does not translate well when trying to launch a craft. I am trying to do a replica of the Lucy mission that just launched using that part, and it clips through the fairing if you leave it at the same profile as normal. This antenna should at the very least be folded upon being placed on the craft instead of being fully extended.

I have screenshots of this in the spoiler below.

I understand this is still currently a bug  as seen on GitHub, so I am unsure as to why this has not been fixed yet. However, I do hope that it can be resolved sometime in the near future, if you are willing and able.

  4. 1.3.0 is OUT!! Come see some Diamonds in the Sky with Lucy!

    • Added Euribanne and Eurbon (L4 trojans) and Palloocus and Palloomus (L5 trojans)
    • Completely reworked Doppler
    • Fixed biome maps for all bodies (especially Ki'Ki)
    • Fixed Vant crusty PQS glitch
    • Added/fixed some science defs

I've noticed some weird graphics stuff around Vant. Somewhere between 210 km and 200 km, the surface texture switches from the grey visible in the map view to a really intense speckled pattern. The pattern rescales itself as you get closer to the surface, maintaining the size but reducing the resolution. This happened in both 1.1.6 and the most recent release, was wondering if I had just installed something wrong.

Zoomed out just past the threshold:

The surface texture is pretty crunchy.

EDIT: I think the issue might be the texturing. There will be a patch for this in the update.

May I suggest Principia, @Interplanet Janet?

It allows for axial tilt. I have some principia configs that have been almost ready for release for a year now that add axial tilt to all stock bodies (save comets/asteroids), as well as OPM, Extrasolar, GEP, and the original MPE bodies. I will try to release that soon :)

I mean, if your computer can't run Principia without slowing down to bricklike speeds, is there really any other mod you can use?

Certainly possible, I only have a couple hundred other mods going at the same time. Really though, the only likely candidate I could think of causing this is either stock (as WarriorSabe suggested), or CTTP, which is bundled with OPM. I don't see how it could be that last one though, since I assume you're also using that.

MPE does use stock textures, yes. I only have about thirty mods, one of which is OPM. So it could be that the sheer amount of mods used might be causing it, though I honestly don't know just yet.

I just tried this and nothing's happened. Could it be something on your end?

First off, thank you so much for taking care of this mod, I think it is really fantastic and you are doing really great job with it.

If I can suggest something - I wouldn’t make a poll. The mod has "planets" in the name - maybe the basic version should contain dwarf planets, and the addition would include other objects? Or you could break the mod into two parts: objects from outside Eeloo's orbit and from inside of the solar system.

Also, you could recommend the "Too many orbits" mod to be used with MPE.

Ps I remember one user suggested in an old thread that Makemake's analogue could be called Brakebrake. I like that idea :)

Ah, you're welcome! I'm trying my best to handle everything as I could.

Yeah, makes sense. I do just want to know what others think of the bodies as well, see which ones people like the best. The thing I wish is that they're not completely easy choices. I would break it into two parts, but that might ruin the point of giving whole new worlds to explore.

Oh, that's a good one to have. Where's the link? I should bundle it!

I think Mracksis is here to stay. At least we've got Flake (Flake).
