  1. If anything we need memorials for Yura Gagarin, who (obviously) was first, and Alan Shepard, who admittedly died a while ago, but who was the first American in space.
  2. 1) There's a MASSIVE learning curve, but eventually you'll find things get easier, especially as you find the things you're good at 2) That depends on what you want to do. For example, I've flown hundreds of Mun missions, so they're pretty simple, but I have yet to go to Laythe 4) Building a functional ship is pretty easy, and building a cool looking ship is pretty easy, but building a ship that's both is VERY difficult and time-consuming That being said, get KSP, it's awesome!
  3. May 2015, it would have been. I know, I'm a newcomer, but dang, if 1.0.2 wasn't great!
  4. Perhaps something resembling a pinwheel, with the arms bent at 90 degrees, and a man shouting vagaries in German?
  5. i think that's more modding territory. I recall a mod that added a 'colonist' class, and that was pretty good.
  6. You misspelled "gimbal" on the second image. Other than that, looks fantastic! I look forward to seeing this come to life.
  7. Seriously cool! Better than any interplanetary mission I've done yet.
  8. I think the topic title is a little edgy...........................................................
  9. And don't forget, an electric prop could be used to fly on Duna, Eve, etc., since there's not an O2 requirement.
  10. Or mechjeb is for people that make lots of the same launches to LKO, LMO very regularly and don't want to bother flying the same mission 20 times in a day. I don't criticize your play style, so don't criticize mine.
  11. It's easier when the body is smaller, so your relative velocity is less. (ex. Mun rendezvous is easier than Laythe rendezvous)
  12. Alcubecurrie drive. Requires propellants, technically, but they don't really "propel" the craft in a meaningful fashion. Plus, you can make physicists spin in their graves. Hermann Oberth will hate you.
  13. I saw jacksepticeye's videos. They were..........interesting. After that, I got hooked on interstellar quest (Scott Manley), which had just started. Bought it soon after.
  14. Definitely! I'd look forward to seeing the kind of images people could capture with ingame cameras! Just another little bit of world added to KSP.
  15. I think one could send "living" things to space, without the stigma of killing dogs/etc. if a "creature crate" part were added (similar to the new Science box). From a scientific point of view, t could represent experiments like those conducted on the Russian Zond missions, instead of generic reports on the ambient environment.
  16. Good one! I typically find career mode to be a drag, but I enjoyed this!
  17. I'd enjoy being able to launch a sandbox game, and select only the tech tree nodes that I want. I could simulate a career mode, without funds restrictions, or just make missions more difficult.
  18. Expansion packs may be cool and interesting, but they could be the death of mods. Why would Squad let us do modding for free, when there's money to be made packaging them as DLC? I'm, of course playing devil's advocate here, but I think it's a legitimate concern.
  19. No, (read post). A resource that is expended in fixed quantities per EVA to represent an airlock cycling.
