This theoretical 'tank insulation' could be an upgradeable quality to the tanks... and could be dependent on other forms of heat besides the sun (like reentry heat, or whatever the hell the thermometer takes its measurements from). but it has to happen. As I have said before, Cryogenics have a range, and there doesn't seem to be a way to increase it - You go out to Jool and can never come home because the fuel resupply cannot reach you in time to give you anything but a metric ass-tonne of oxidiser. And if we cannot get a way to harvest cryogenic fuel. we need a way to store it and increase the range.

Wait, there is a screenshot tax? Well then, best I pay it! This... Is the Asimov II. It is my 'science star-ship' I have previously mentioned. It is so large, I could not think of a way to get it off Kerbin, so I built it with an extra-planetary launch-pad on Minmus, and, using tech derived from my 'Orbital car', launched it to orbit. It's awesome. EDIT: could there be a MM patch to put LqdHydrogen in the ore converter menu? It limits the use of a Cryogenic-based rocket to the Kerbin System, as LqdHydrogen boils off before it gets to a refuelling place, and assembling the rocket on-site cannot get any fuel. Additonally, there is a problem with range- if you go too far, you might not come back, since there is no way to keep the fuel from boiling off and no way to get more fuel from the environment.

A Slight problem: Where do I get this? Using the Git gives no functionality to the parts, and I see no other mirror for the mod. Where do I get it, and, if I have gotten it in the correct place, do I need anything besides MM for it to work? -
that engine adapter looks useful in so many ways... I could add two vectors to it and simplify my Saturn IIs... maybe even fly this with them, who knows? and the expander tank... I could switch it to LF/O and get rid of that heavy Kerbodyne tank on the S-III (what I'm calling the Saturn II first stage) and replace it with a lighter and larger tank! just... please make it heat-tolerant. to fill my niche, it will need to be able to survive falling through the atmosphere at 1500+ m/s.
