  1. thanks! Apparently, something in it causes framerate issues and increased stutter.
  2. Sup @RoverDude! Quick question, if I delete the Ground Construction folder, will the rest of MKS work fine?
  3. After updating to 1.4.3 my game started to stutter like crazy, with GC having hiccups every second. The FPS, on the other hand, didn’t change much. I have a couple of mods installed, but not many, and it wasn’t nearly as bad before the update. Thank god MemGraph exists, otherwise the game would be unplayable with so much stutter.
  4. "ULA ACES stage". Don't think I'll be able to escape on it, but at least I'll have the energy from IVF! Water too, I think. If the zombie horde gets too close, I can fire up those RL-10s to keep them away!
  5. They may scale up the BFR. I was talking about the 2016 IAC design. The reason why I don't think it's going to happen is because BFR itself is an evolution of that ITS design. It has a delta wing, better fueling/refueling/docking mechanism, probably a lot of other improvements. Returning to the ITS design as it was presented in 2016 will be a downgrade, but improving upon the BFR design with possible increase in size can be a very sensible thing to do (assuming the design works, of course).
  6. ITS is ridiculous. Unless you have regular flights to other planets, you don’t need to go bigger than BFR. And if there’s a need to put half a kiloton in orbit in one go (very unlikely), then BFR Heavy is more practical. ITS will need new tooling as well. Don’t think ITS will happen.
  7. Yea, I think I got the idea from this very video.
  8. Moon landing can be done with 2 FH launches (lander and cryogenic transfer stage with IDA, like DCSS) and one F9 launch (Dragon V2 with crew). They'd need to redesign the heat shield to enable reentry from Moon orbit, and make a new lander.
  9. Agreed. That’s why we’re only comparing apples to apples, I mean rockets to rockets.
  10. The video only compares the rockets. Actual NASA vs. SpaceX comparison is in the first video. I highly recommend watching it first, and, by the way, it does address the financial aid and contracts that NASA gave to SpaceX. But again, this second video only deals with the rockets.
  11. The killer argument: with the money it takes to just keep the SLS program going (with 1 launch per year), NASA can pay for 13 expendable (!) Falcon Heavy launches or 6 fully expendable (haha) BFR flights. Every year.
  12. (Possibly related question) Is there no decoupler between the heat shield and the fuel tank? (Another possibly related question) Did you, by any chance, build this lander as a subassembly, with the engine being the root part? Or, did you place the central engine first, and then build the rest of the lander? I'm asking because KER gets reeeally confused when the rocket is build bottom-up instead of top-down, and gives completely incorrect delta-v numbers.
  13. Apparently, these old Dragons can survive the reentry somehow. Who could’ve known! I guess the new ones will have to wait then. Can’t just throw them away, right? (kerbalness: 100%) "The flip side of reusability: sometimes you have to reuse your old crap". (sorry)
  14. No reason to throw away a perfectly good Dragon V1 if it can do the job.
  15. “Mommy! I’m trying to launch this toy rocket, but it keeps coming back!”
  16. Don’t know about you guys, but I have a feeling that this is a real, grown-up F9 in its prime, compared to its younger, less capable brothers that we’ve seen before. (Probably shouldn’t anthropomorphize rockets, but whatever, it’s fun)
  17. If it can’t, others will. There’s more than one rocket company led by a billionaire aspiring for space colonization.
  18. Is 100km the highest NS can go, btw?
  19. Did they miss the landing pad a bit? The booster landed just outside the white ring.
  20. They don't give reasons for holds.
  21. Yeah, right. "You don't have to outrun the bear, you only have to outrun your friend".
  22. It says SpaceX prices went up 50% for CRS2. Is this normal? Shouldn’t they decrease because of better reusability of F9 B5 and Dragon 2?
  23. Got my new credit card today. Can't show the real one, obviously, but it looks like this:
