Trust me when I say that I'll get this pack up and running in no time. Let's keep this sportive, shall we?
-
And I've even won the Kopernicus Creativity Marathon once. Trust me, I know exactly what I'm doing.
-
I've began my overhaul with the Mysterio system. The issues I found in Mysterio's config alone include unnecessary entries, entries that don't make sense and curves that'll make the game go berserk, along with a weird texture organization and OnDemandLoading getting thrown out the window. I've fixed all of that.
-
@Thomas P. Don't bother. I've checked the configs, basically it's Plutonium-210 for Kopernicus. You're gonna find more issues in the logfiles than there are stars in the Sun's stellar neighborhood, therefore I'm rewriting the configs.
-
1. Open Kittopia 2. Select target planet 3. Check 'export textures' 4. Press 'Update ScaledSpace' 5. Wait as Kittopia exports 6. Find the textures in KittopiaTech/Textures/[PlanetName] 7. PROFIT
-
@Astrofox @Kandjk I'm already reading through the config files. Trust me, I'll get them to work.
-
Sweet! I'm gonna update immediately and try to export a planet, let's hope it doesn't take forever anymore. I actually wonder, how does Kittopia react to the 64-bit version of the game? No sudden explosions or anything?
-
I don't think Capt will touch the names of the stock planets, it might create compatibility issues. However, you can change Jool's name yourself, it isn't hard. Follow these steps: 1. Go to OPM/KopernicusConfigs/OuterPlanets/Configs and copy Sarnus.cfg 2. Rename the copied config to JoolRename.cfg or something like that 3. Open it up with Notepad, or better, Notepad++ 4. Press CRTL + A, then hit delete to empty the config file 5. Paste in this code: @Kopernicus:AFTER[Kopernicus] { @Body[Jool] { cbNameLater = (Jool's new name here) } } And done! Don't forget to save the config file afterwards.

The current dev version already works in 1.1.2, I've been testing it myself and so far the only problem I've come across is slow texture exporting time, but hey, it isn't the final version yet, so...
-
Oh, okay, in that case I'll take over. I'll start a new thread though since I can't edit the current one.

I agree. So, let's have an interesting conversation about donuts here, shall we? Just kidding. Anyhow, I wonder what the future holds for OPM. Perhaps terrain scatter is something that could be improved? It'd be pretty cool for Tekto to have these alien-like formations on it's surface, or for Slate to have hints of it's past lying around.

Hmm... I could update Gemeni real quick. Should I do that, @daniel l.?

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
The White Guardian replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I render cloud noise, erase some stuff, add a bump effect, and presto, a mountain. You can make heightmaps really easily, all it takes is some GIMP skill. The problem is the blending effect at the poles, I don't know how to do that, and thus I simply make the area at the poles completely flat. That's okay though, I still got noisemods to elevate the terrain there. On a separeate note, I've been having an issue myself. I'm trying to recolor the stock Sun, and everything works fine, save for the lens flare, it absolutely refuses to change color. Right now I this is my config: ... @ScaledVersion { @Light { @sunlightColor = 0.5,0.5,0.5,1.0 @scaledSunlightColor = 0.5,0.5,0.5,1.0 @IVASunColor = 0.5,0.5,0.5,1.0 @sunLensFlareColor = 0.5,0.5,0.5,1.0 @ambientLightColor = 0.5,0.5,0.5,1.0 } ... As you can see, I'm trying to make the Sun white. Everything works fine, except for the lens flare: -
[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
The White Guardian replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I've aleady answered that question, but I'm afraid the answer was deleted as well :/ Anyhow, basically any image editing software will do, I personally use GIMP, but nothing beats Kittopia. -
Give me an hour with the normals, I'll try to get that light back to where it belongs.
-
KOPERNICUS IS BACK! @Thomas P. has already rebuilt the main Kopernicus thread, the others will soon follow.

The White Guardian replied to The White Guardian's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
To everyone: do not worry, S.P.E is not in any danger and development will continue without delay. Kopernicus is back! -
Looks like an interesting mod! It's a shame I don't see any download links. If you'd like some help with getting this mod back up and running, give me a shout, I'm quite handy with Kopernicus.
-
I do, so I suppose you're lucky that you tagged me a few comments earlier. Kasper's on it? Oh, then I suppose it'll be alright. Still, why did this have to happen to Thomas? Actually, why did this have to happen to anyone? I WILL LAUNCH REVENGE ROCKET AT MINMUS FOR THIS! Minmus, I'm coming for yoooooouuuuu!
