Would it not be a good idea to have seperate categories for manned and unmanned? -
[1.2.xx] Supersonic Bomber Challenge
DoctorDavinci replied to MunGazer's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Interesting challenge .. I am going to have to take a crack at it If I may make a suggestion ... perhaps you could make a save file for people to download as there are many (myself included) who don't want to use nor install hyperedit -
I'm just gonna leave this here ........
-
True, however by copying it and saving the image you always will have the image in your post as you can never rely on other sites or people to keep their content up ... Saves the hassle of 'what in tarnation happened to the images in my post' deal if and when someone deletes something or a site goes down Anyways, this is off topic ... I recommend the two threads in my post above if you require further assistance with creating posts on the forum

Copy the image and save it to an approved photo sharing site such as imgur When making your post and you want to insert the image, click on 'insert other media' then select 'insert image from URL' and paste the link to the image you saved from the allowed image hosting site into the dialog window ... press enter The image will appear If you require further assistance in regards to creating an OP, I will refer you to the following 2 threads where you will get the answers that you seek:

BDArmory not properly working
DoctorDavinci replied to ajud's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
It appears that you are new to modding KSP I recommend reading all the OP's of each mod you are using so as to understand what it does, how it works and why outdated mods aren't working for you ... especially module manager as the answer to your question will be found within its thread -
BDArmory not properly working
DoctorDavinci replied to ajud's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
I suggest, again, to remove all mods and start with just BDAc installed. If the issue does not show itself then add each of your mods one by one to narrow down which mods are causing the conflict ... This is clearly stated in the following thread which has been brought to your attention numerous times - Please Read .... In addition to this, delete the MM config files so that MM doesn't try to load mods that are no longer in your Gamedata folder -

Did you delete you MM config files in the Gamedata directory? I suggest, again, to remove all mods and start with just BDAc installed. If the issue does not show itself then add each of your mods one by one to narrow down which mods are causing the conflict -
BDArmory not properly working
DoctorDavinci replied to ajud's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
So running visual mods on an AMD APU in a notebook is not advisable as it will tank your performance unless you reduce all your graphics settings in game down to low values since onboard graphics aren't the greatest to play games with settings above low to medium ... Also your processor has a TDP of 35 watts and the computer itself is likely throttling your processor speed due to power constraints as well as temperature Your computer is a 'notebook' so don't expect to be playing with high graphics settings nor with visual mods installed and have good performance Doc -------------------------------------------------------------- Might I suggest removing all the mods other than BDAc v0.11.1.5 and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't persist, then start adding your mods back in one by one and testing with each one to find which mods is causing the conflict I will refer you, again, to the following post where what I just said above has been clearly stated -

Long Distance Naval Challenge/Contest
DoctorDavinci replied to seanth's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Well in that case maybe I should fill more of the tanks ... she has 4 empty full size Mk3 liquid fuel tanks for an additional 40 000 fuel as well as another 5 000 or so Grand total is well above 67 000 fuel able to be carried ... my next design will have to incorporate some sort of detachable mining platform with a fuel refinery- 67 replies

Long Distance Naval Challenge/Contest
DoctorDavinci replied to seanth's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
She carries over 22 000 fuel as well as having reserves and oxidizer to refuel the runabout so would likely make a circumnavigation of the globe with ease Image prolly not gonna do the actual challenge but anyone who would like to use her to do the challenge can ... just let me know and I'll send you a link- 67 replies

Long Distance Naval Challenge/Contest
DoctorDavinci replied to seanth's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I found the design aspect of this challenge to be very appealing so I stuck to my usual creed of 'go big or go home' and came up with something With cabin space for 201 Kerbals and another 17 command lawn chairs on deck as well as a science/research fishing boat with room for 9 Kerbals and having 4 antenna re-purposed as fishing rods, I now present for your approval the HMCS Dooblydoo engaged in her first shakedown cruise off the coast of the KSC- 67 replies

Photosensitive seizure triggers?
DoctorDavinci replied to Allocthonous's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Those at risk should know they are at risk and if they don't then they haven't taken responsibility for their affliction (or they haven't been diagnosed, which is unlikely in this case, or their doctor is doing a horrible job of informing them) which is not anyone's responsibility but the doctor and the patient (and perhaps a caretaker if the person in question is not able to care for themselves) And on the subject of what the news on tv does, they have to adhere to broadcast standards due to the fact that news stations are required to publicly broadcast (both in Canada and the USA) on open airwaves that anyone can access with a tv, an Over The Air digital receiver and some electricity to power it which relegates them to being required to make people aware that what they are about to see may cause seizures if it is so Now that make sense as anyone can wander onto a channel whilst using an OTA system and not be aware of what is upcoming in the broadcast where as, in the case of video games, they already have a good idea of what is about to occur and should be aware that it may affect them in an unpleasant way (in this case, meaning triggering their epilepsy) -
Photosensitive seizure triggers?
DoctorDavinci replied to Allocthonous's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Yup ... gotta have that 'Caution, coffee is hot' label so that people are aware that their hot coffee is indeed hot Not to mention that if the coffee isn't hot then the SJW's have another thing to defend the general public against And no, it's not as simple as adding a warning since the whole issue could be resolved if people would take responsibility for their situation instead of blaming others for them not paying attention ... If you got epilepsy, I'm really sorry to hear that but you shouldn't place the burden on others to manage your medical issue as it is yours, not theirs I was in an electric wheelchair for over 2 years, learned to walk again and generally took care of myself ... did I complain to stores that they need to put a sign up saying that if your in a wheelchair that you may have difficulty moving your chair inside said store because of the size of it? ... I already knew I was in a wheelchair so I didn't need the store to tell me that ... same goes for any malady, it is the responsibility of the person with the affliction to manage their affliction ... Don't impose your situation on others all in the name of social justice, it's demeaning -
So your quoting my comment and commenting on it for what purpose? If you read my comment you can clearly see that it was made as a sarcastic retort to people who have been complaining that mods broke their game and they blame Squad for it Blaming Squad for everything nowadays is the norm around here ... how bout people get their heads outta their [redacted] and stop blaming others for their problems ... spoon fed society, I tell ya 'it should work ... cause I say it should work ... and if it doesn't grab your pitchfork and blame the person on your left ... then poke em' talk about privileged ........

Photosensitive seizure triggers?

I question whether it is the responsibility of anyone to be required to warn people of what they should already be aware of ... Just another example of the nanny state SJW's to the rescue
