  1. For the Kopernicus version numbering: the numbers before the dash are the version of KSP that is compatible. The number after the dash are the number of releases of Kopernicus for a particular version of KSP. If you want to play KSP with Kopernicus today , these are your options: KSP 1.5.1 & [No compatible Kopernicus release] - KSP will start, kopernicus will not, planet packs that rely on Kopernicus will not start. If you are continuing a save game it will get broken. Many other mods are not updated yet. KSP 1.5.0 & Kopernicus 1.5.0-1 - Kopernicus will work, but this version of KSP has a aerodynamics bug which makes it unappealing for rocket launching and plane flying. KSP 1.4.5 & Kopernicus 1.4.5-5 - Everything works fine.
  2. I don't think an impulse purchase of a useless ship or two is going to break the bank. I think the ship is probably much better than a barge for operating in foul weather and quickly transporting the rocket from the landing station. Do we know if the ship will be manned during landings?
  3. I think the main issue with science points is the disconnect between how they are acquired and what they are used for. Science points are (primarily) gained by exploration, and spent on Research and Development (access to new parts). This logical disconnect chafes like a grain of regolith in a moonsuit. I think that tech advances are driven by the desire to visit a new environment rather than as a reward for having achieved a destination (with the possible exception of discovering a million-ton asteroid made of rare-earth metals or semiconductors). Of coarse it is the game designers prerogative to "gamify" any particular thing in their game, but here they missed the mark a bit I think. Because this game provides one of the most realistic physics simulations out there, things that defy that realism are more noticeable.
  4. If working with budgets and politics seems like it would increase the fun of the game, why not just go all the way and get a job with NASA?
  5. @DatMan, 8GB of RAM could be too low if those planet packs are very resource heavy and/or you have many parts mods installed. At any rate, Kopernicus has not been released for 1.5.1 so it will not work anyways.
  6. welcome to the forums! Is a part from a mod causing the issue? You might get a better answer if you ask in that mod's thread.
  7. Squad removed 32 bit from 1.5.x. So can only be using the 64 bit version. With that out of the way, the problem is most likely either running out of RAM, or installing mods that are not compatible with 1.5.
  8. Do you mean the proposed Gateway? I didn't think Russia was invited to participate.
  9. I'm not on Mac so I can't say what it looks like, but look an application with a name like KSP_x64 in your Kerbal Space Program folder. If you prefer to start your game through Steam or a shortcut, I've seen instructions around the forum for how to do that.
  10. If you are spending more time updating mods than playing the game, you may be using too many mods .
  11. Out of memory? how much RAM do you have? Trying to add planets and clouds will certainly drain your RAM reserves. Running 64bit version is pretty much required to utilize more than 4GB of RAM (or was it 8). Squad has dropped the 32 bit version in 1.5+ but there was never a good reason not to use it unless you have a VERY old computer.
  12. The Russians have been trying to get Nauka off the ground for several years. It is very similar to Zarya in form.
  13. So can I trade in all my old kilograms for the new ones, or are they just junk?
  14. It is mentioned in the OP, but it isn’t explicitly called out as a dependency. Most folks probably just have it installed for other things already.
  15. Yes Galileo made Stock-size Real Solar System a while back. I’m not sure if it is still maintained though.
  16. @Atlessa do you want to use the capacity of your battery to determine rate? You can use that as a variable, there is an example of using variables a few posts back. Or are you trying to use the current amount of EC to change the rate of production dynamically? I don’t think that would be possible with MM.

    1.5.1 Hotfix

Is there a change log somewhere?
  18. Seems more like light pollution on a planetary scale.
  19. Why does this “rocket “ have an initial velocity and no acceleration? To me that is just a projectile.
  20. There is the sounding rockets mod by Roverdude
