  1. I'm glad you've found the joy in this game! A little tip for when you are building your Mun rocket - Try to design the lander with a wide base, that will help because it is all too easy to tip over, especially as a new pilot!
  2. I figure as a musician I can write my own. It's not finished, of course. But here's the first part: https://spaaace.bandcamp.com/track/step-1-complete
  3. Gets 9.80665p coin back, along with 50 grams of Earth's inner core. Inserts Triangulum.
  4. Eu conheço todos! I've not had the fruit itself, but I've had fresh Cacau and Cupuaçu juice. It would be nice if coffee fruit had a bit more meat to it, instead of being mostly seed. If there was coffee juice I would drink it.
  5. I like the smell. I like it infused in sweets and chocolates. I even like the fruit. But I don't like the drink.
  6. Yes. It is featured on TV and is renowned for its music.
  7. Florida Man Invades Airport with Army of Chickens, "Unstoppable"
  8. "Murphy's corollary for the space program: Anything that can go right will." A professor here who worked on the Space Shuttle.
  9. Yep. Turns out it turns into a pyramid of n-dimensions called a simplex. http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Simplex.html
  10. *ahem* I learned how to draw a nine-dimensional shape today.
  11. I was thinking if our hypothetical aliens developed on a very mountainous planet, or at least a large region lacking in level ground, they might develop wings or gliding parts as this would be more effective than climbing. Perhaps giant trees and forests much larger than those on Earth could accomplish this too.
  12. Thumbs Walking legs Brains Decent eyesight Those are the things I see as most useful human features. And remember, the walking legs happened in the African plains - if an alien adapted in a different environment, their locomotion could be quite different even if they have similar intelligence and are culturally similar.
  13. Here are some pictures of the one-of-a-kind Moon Rubik's Cube, as promised! https://imgur.com/a/AI8xarw Technically a sphere, not a cube. But no matter! It solves like a cube. I can solve the front side, but the back side...it's very messy. Although you can definitely feel the Aitken Basin when you piece it together right.
  14. Don't bash it until you've tried it. You don't have to eat it alive, there are countless ways to cook and prepare them into delicacies.
  15. I want to see how well insects can be grown in space. With luck I will get back to you on that next year with some concrete information about feed mass and yield. We already know they are nutritious and efficient, but it seems no one has designed a farm unit for the task. No actual research on this application has gone further than nutrition value and "yep, insects are a good food choice for Martians."
  16. Hard to say. What purpose are these animals serving? Just existing? Producing something like a farm? If we're not interested in any special purpose then my nomination is... Spiders. They can web wherever they need to. Imagine a spaceship completely full of spiderwebs and spiders...Or maybe don't if you're not into spiders....
  17. I finished printing all the parts for the Moon Rubik's Cube today! Last batch came out without a hitch, and now all I need to do is a little sanding and glue the "stickers" on!
  18. How detailed are we talking? I have one of these, and it does a pretty good job for PLA stuff, and I'd say it'll give you bang for your buck. If you want to print really tiny stuff, though, you might want a fancier gel-based printer, soluble supports or whatnot.
  19. U pieces are done! All that's left now are the M pieces, then to sand and glue it all together!
  20. I was doing a 3D print today (M pieces for the Moon Rubik's Cube) but it went spagoot just before I got home. Darb.
  21. Early Starships will likely be repurposed in such fashion. Elon himself mentioned during his presentation that their steel makes for an excellent building material for astronauts on other planets to weld into whatever is needed. Orienting some horizontally and turning them into habitats sounds like a great idea. Starship already has some attachment points for cranes built in for transport on Earth - these same attachments could be used on other planets, and one mobile crane could be assembled which could tip many ships. Perhaps if very skilled welders were sent, they could attach many Starships together to form even bigger ba... ....wait. This is just your excuse for botching that Mun landing, isn't it? I jest. You make great points.
