[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The null refs are harmless, Its just because Scatterer still doesn't play nice with Module Manager. Update Change Log v1.5.1 Patch for OPM_Galileo to not move current orbiting vessels upon load due to flightGlobalsIndex changes. No texture changes, so GPP_Textures 3.0.0 still works fine. ---- Look! An, update without having to re-download textures! Download and Install instructions in the OP- 7,371 replies

You are right though, it hasn't been discussed openly on the forums. Perhaps it should be. Other planet makers could probably benefit from it.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ah yes, we have talked about Wilbur in our dev coversation a few times. @Poodmund loves it and I think @OhioBob has gotten to know it as well. if I had more time and patience to break away from my comfort zone, I would definitely go that route.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@adsii1970 it's a bit more complicated than that. You got the color map part right mostly, but height maps and normal maps are a far cry from just changing the color. There are filters that need to be run to get the height map and the normal map. The normal map is actually the most important part imo. It takes the 2d color map, and gives it a 3d illusion allowing shadows to be cast from the mountain ranges when in scaled space all on a flat texture. It also provides great detail to an otherwise bleh texture. I can go into more detail when I'm not driving home from work- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ancient Chinese secret. If you look closely at the textures I made (I purchased a few of the crazier ones), I sourced a lot of real surface maps from NASA, used a lot of cloning, patching, and healing in photoshop. I have been talking about making a tutorial for the longest time, but I keep finding excuses to not do it..- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]

I'm pretty certain it defaults to "default" without adding this. I'm also pretty sure stock "Low" works for GPP too. But to be thorough, I included all presets. You will see the biggest changes with "High"- 7,371 replies

Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ok, this is an experimental thing for GPP: This is a detail preset for the settings.cfg inside your KSP install. Install Instructions included in the dl. (IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PRECISELY) DOWNLOAD This will also be in the OP in the event it gets lost in the comments here..- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes. If we were going to keep support for Kerbalism, it would have been that exact same cfg. Nothing has changed between Kerbalism and GPP, except the fact that we are no longer going to have the cfg in GPPs DL.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
We have dropped Kerbalism support in GPP. We don't like how it interacts with GPP in its current state. The Kerbalism dev will pick up support whenever it get updated again. If you choose to continue using Kerbalism you will have to keep using the cfg that was included in the last release. Nothing has changed in regard to how Kerbalism works with multiple stars, so you can keep Grannus removed if you would like. Just don't expect solar panels to work properly with kerbalism if you choose to keep it.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
UPDATE Changelog: v1.5.0 GPP_Textures 3.0.0 required. The starting positions of most planets have been changed to provide better launch windows in years 1 and 2. This could be game-breaking for current saves. The new sun curves have been added to Ciro and Grannus, curing the infinite multiple starlight problem. (Bodies get darker the further away they are). Nero's precession has been fixed when using Environmental Visual Enhancements will appear to have a 10° axial tilt (no more perciveable wobble). Nero's four moons are all now inclined in concert with the rings. See updated dV map in the download. Nero has two new moonlets: Agrippina and Julia. This could be game-breaking. Updated KSPedia. Kerbalism support has been dropped from GPP. It will return natively in Kerbalism in a future update. GPP now alerts the player if GPP_Textures are misplaced or missing. Preliminary support (Planet Challenge settings) for Station Science Continued. Planet texture updates. Be sure to download the latest. GPP Secondary now handles visual packs. At minimum, SVE, GPP_Clouds, and sunflares for Stock + GPP work seamlessly. Strategia "Private Sector" strategy is less cheaty, but still plentyful in rewards. OPM_Galileo can populate Grannus SOI. https://github.com/Galileo88/OPM_Galileo/releases Added resource setup for Far Future Technologies. Rescale! now properly places Kerbal Konstructs statics when using Sigma Dimensions. Download and Install instructions linked in the OP- 7,371 replies

[1.8.1-1] [PLEASE FORK ME] Kopernicus & KittopiaTech
Galileo replied to Thomas P.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This is a good place to ask questions. It's the "I can't get this word document to wrap around my planet, and when I get too close, my neck starts to itch. How do I fix that?" questions that get ignored. however, I don't know what that parameter does. -
[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
You are trying to use the dev version. That's what's wrong. The links in the Install instructions, linked in the OP, take you directly to the files you need. Use the latest release. You will get zero support when trying to use the dev version, and we have made that clear many times.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It wasnt NIcklett with the issue, it was Tyko lol Its a known issue with KSCSwitcher, and scatterer doesn't like it either. NIcklett's issue could be with a number of different mods, but they wont know until they narrow it down.- 7,371 replies

[KSP 1.12.1+] Galileo's Planet Pack [v1.6.6] [23 Sept 2021]
Galileo replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Also, when using KSCSwitcher, Scatterer has a hard time with the transition. Its just not used to it. When you see stars and the sky is dark, sometimes all that is needed is a scene change. go into the vab and exit. That usually fixes it. It may take 1 or 2 times for scatterer to fix itself. Its the same kind of bug as the ksc being flooded when scatterer is installed.- 7,371 replies
