  1. Since I can't get KSP yet, how the heck do you play Orbiter? Pls help, my spaceplane somehow got into space, and spun out of control, and I have no idea how it did that.
  2. Yay! @Red Iron Crown Called for me! But I was out.
  3. Red dwarfs are very stable after their flare crazy phase, and that may be true for many planets, but the universe is big, we're going to find a lot of extremely old planets that have complex, and maybe even intelligent life.
  4. I'll put it in a space ark on a planet in a wide orbit around a red dwarf.
  5. Due to things popping up, I may not get it 'till the middle or end of summer
  6. Well, in order to keep from shrinking the fish population to the point where it's expensive, the aquaponical floating farms will also breed them, but the algae will be able to get the CO2 out of the atmosphere so yay!! It'll be expensive, but worth it.
  7. There could be a previously unseen Eathlike planet round star, Gliese 832, 16 ly away, and me hoping that Astronomers take another look at other stars with confirmed potentially habitable worlds, to see if there's more where that came from http://news.discovery.com/space/alien-life-exoplanets/stars-wobble-could-reveal-nearby-earth-like-exoplanet-160419.htm
  8. Some of you may know I don't have KSP yet, I had the Demo, but uninstalled it due to it being laggy (I did get to the Mun and Minmus many times however, but I hadn't returned), but I'm getting a new laptop soon, so hopefully I can get it before Friday, or at least before May. Fingers crossed! EDIT: In the span of 7 hours, things sprung up, and it looks like I'm not getting it 'till the middle or end of summer
  9. Seasoning You engineer it so it doesn't, and you have robots to do daily inspections, as well as enough boats to evacuate everyone in the case it does.
  10. So we've talked about vertical cities; cities that are ridiculously tall, but what about floating cities? I mean, unlimited water, assuming you can filter it, huge amounts of sunlight and wind, assuming it's sunny and windy, which it almost always is, and unlimited food, aquaponical food sources that farm for fish, and grow plants at the same time, floating cities are really cool, and can also help with overpopulation, instead of cramming people into tall buildings, put them on the ocean with mega flat boats! We could also have this on cities on land, so coastal cities don't go under due to rising sea levels. So what do you guys think about it? http://inhabitat.com/7-futuristic-floating-cities-that-could-save-humanity/
  11. Mega galaxy ftw!! I kinda want to be cryofreezed so i can see the new galaxy
  12. Thoughts? http://www.physics-astronomy.com/2016/04/a-giant-galaxy-orbiting-our-own-just.html?m=1#.VxVgbHrMJnC
  13. At first I thought this was legit, and I was going to suggest that you move this the the sci/space forums, then I clicked and saw this masterpiece of a comic. Btw, lightshield ftw, no more lightsaber twirling to block laser blasts.
  14. Off topic for a sec, could the floating rocks exist? Alrighty, back on topic, what would the lifting capability be for a rocket the size of SLS on the high gravity world?
