Some times KCT can get a bit fidgety with the edits. Try to cancel the edit and try it again (before committing), the editor probably misread your intentions.

I tried this now. Several times and still 9 days to complete. It would seem as KCT regards the thermometer as something really advanced. In comparison, a modular girder takes just 7 hrs to edit onto the (already existing, 100% finished) plane.

  2. New to this mod (today) and enjoying the concept very much. I was wondering a bit if the edit-times are a bit high for the vessels in one's storage? My tiny 25 part plane took some 30 days at 0.3 BP/s, which is fine. But when I was going to edit a single thermometer to it, it took a whopping 9 days to complete. This cannot possibly be the intention?

    - I realize that things in KCT can be tweaked a lot, but the default setting seems a bit harsh for editing a simple little low tech thing.

  3. Is there a mod that creates an overlay for the bearing (camera view) similar to the compass strip I tried to illustrate in red in the screenshot? (not the arrows) If not that would be a killer idea for skilled modders to make. It would help immensely i.e when biome-hopping, and just to easily get oriented too.

Edit: I mixed up BRG <--> HDG in the illustration :P

when you see beautiful, highly realistic pictures, but your system just can't take the beauty :( (EVE already drops my framerate down to like 10 fps)

You are not alone. Scatterer murders my i7 4790K / GTX1080 from 60fps down to 18fps if I fly atmospheric for 20+ minutes. (with just EVE and KER installed, nothing in logs). I do not use scatterer atm.

  5. A question about the ASET HUD: Is there a way to get the 0deg in the pitch ladder to stick to the horizon? I recorded a short clip to show how it shifts with various speeds. In this clip I am using AtmosphereAutopilot to maintain the same altitude. As I accelerate, the 0deg attitude bar shifts more and more until it and sadly also the flight path marker along with it gets too far displaced to be of use.

Flaps in KSP do absolutely nothing

Quite wrong. It lowers the AoA somewhat. Check the video in the spoiler for proof. My speed and altitude is locked by AtmosphereAutopilot. As the flaps deploy you can see the AoA change in the GUI to the left. If I were to lower my speed even more, the effect will be more pronouced.

  7. ASET/RPM for Falcon cockpit, -An add-on for Airplane Plus mod

I really enjoyed blackheart612's Falcon Cockpit (F16/mk2 non-commercial), so I decided to pimp it up a bit with a fully (95% anyhow) working IVA. The first attempts were mostly done by brute-hacking cfgs, but that soon proved to be extremely time consuming. So I downloaded Unity and started dillydallying a bit there till I got reasonably satisfied. So there we have it, my first add-on.
This is not an attempt to re-create the real F16 layout(s) by no means, but to make an resemblance that works in KSP.

-All credits go to the talented @blackheart612 for his IVA and of course @alexustas and @MOARdV for their props and RPM

Feedback is always welcome. For core issues with dials etc please visit that mod's forum thread. My skills are mostly limited to basic prop placement.

    History:
    v0.8 - Release. (0.8 instead of 1.0 because reasons)

Installation: Extract the contents of the zip file to your KSP/Gamedata folder
