Now that explains why there's so much injustice and lack of freedom in the world. It's all the French's fault, blowing up and scrapping the fundaments of universal rights. I'll have to ask Deeman Kerman to hold Causelle responsible and get her to make it up to Kerbality. Just because. Maybe she even gets the Kerbulans to see the Kerbals as their equals and brothers...

Oh, I did because I tried really hard to plant a flag. Bob turned into smoke more times than I care to count. The one time he managed to plant the flag on the very pole, it warped itself on top of the rover. That was the last try, I got Bob back on the rover and drove away.

Indeed, although Bill made the first Kerbal-powered circumnavigation. Bob got jaleous and makes his on land. I've reached the south pole. The climbing abilities of this rover never stop amazing me. When I reached the ice, I found myself looking at a white wall, not very high, but at a steep angle. Fortunately, that proved to be no problem whatsoever. The rest of the trip to the pole was uneventful, just a large flat area. Next up: the western shore of the continent south of the KSC.

Had to look it up. That's definitely not something I'd like to have, especially as treatment is limited. I wish you a speedy recovery and don't worry, we won't run away just because you're on a forced break.

Oh, thanks! How did I miss that? My mind had already conjured up the dreadful image of steam users getting moar-Kuzzter-comic. I was planning to have a serious talk with Clauselle about what happened to liberté, égalité, fraternité.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what's the reason for this difference?

Thank you for taking the time to redraw the badges! It's a lot of work and I guess time isn't one of the assets you ave an excess of atm. I've always been proud to wear that badge.

Well, now at least part of the Kabal has been taken care of. Where will Stelrine end up? Did she really get away into an alternate universe? Or has she looped back in time to reappear in the past, trying to amend her mistakes? Maybe another iteration of Stelgy/Stelrine.

Kerbin Land Elcano - Day 3 - First problems
Chemp replied to Draradech's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Good luck on your journey. I find circumavigation a very rewarding - if lengthy - experience. You really get to see a lot of Kerbin and judging from the screenshots, you have the rig to get stunning visuals. Kodspeed -
We're not paying enough
Chemp replied to Vermil's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I agree with you that it would be a shame to see such a great game ruined, but I think there are other ways to prevent that from happening: for one, there is the store where you buy articles, therefore not only supporting the devs but also making publicity for the game. Think of a KSP mug in your office or wearing the shirt at an occasion where you get attention anyway. If you're not comfortable stating your support that openly (which is not everybody's mug of coffee - err, cup of tea) I'm sure that buying multiple copies as has been suggested also goes a long way. And since you started this thread, you maybe even influenced some other forum users to do the same. -
More progress today. The terrain was mostly rolling hills, since I avoided the mountains. I figured I'd make more progress that way, even if it meant some detours, because I didn't have to crawl forward at 10 m/s to avoid rapid disassembly. I almost reached 50ºS, a bit under two thirds of the whole voyage.

Problem with orbital station mission
Chemp replied to Anker's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Another thought: have you launched the station from Kerbin after accepting the contract? AFAIK most missions require the vessel to be built and won't allow you to use a already existing one. -
I guess I would have done the same after half an our of trying to dock, just to get frustrated. Like when I discovered that my lovely science expedition to the Mun that I designed the other day happened to be without the science subassembly in the cargo bay. But hey, let's say it's all Bob's fault On the bright side, now Samantha gets to repeat her reentry.

I hope this doesn't come too late. I had the idea yesterday but had no access to my computer until today to test if it works - and it does!. You don't have to redesign your scansats, the claw can grab them if you open the scanner and hit it with the claw dead center, like so:

After my circumnavigations of Kerbin on water and in the air, I wanted to make one last entry for a land based circumnavigation, using a Kerbal-powered rover. Originally, I was just fooling around with the concept but discovered that a rover like that is actually amazingly stable. So one thing let to another and here I am, halfway around on a polar route. I hope I'll be able to finish the journey before the end of the month.

I made it halfway around! I'm back down at the equator, now I'm confident that I can finish the circumnavigation
-
That is also true, you've done a great job so far to help even casual readers. Anyway, I suppose that later in the story they won't be all together in the same craft very often. *Goesandhidesshamefullyunderarock*

It's true, with 12 kerbals on board, it can get confusing (except for sarge) Maybe you could add this image to the canon page and write everyones name above their heads or something like that. Or even add an expanation for the different rank insignia, but that would be a lot of work again.

Thanks for reminding me, I will as soon as I'm halfway around. I left the north pole behind me and headed down south. Not much to tell about this leg, except that the mountains caused very little trouble this time. Only 3 Kraken attacks (on of them on a perfectly level section) so I really can't complain.

A Divide in the Sky —graphic novel (Chapter 4, part 2 is FINALY HERE)
Chemp replied to Musil's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
From the top of my head, @Angel-125 has some very nice IVAs for his pathfinder mod IIRC, and Kerbal Animation Suite and free IVA can help you nail some shots. I have no experience with any of them though, my laptop can't take much more than a stock install... -
A Divide in the Sky —graphic novel (Chapter 4, part 2 is FINALY HERE)
Chemp replied to Musil's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Oh... now I'm confused. You didn't mean the south-american country then? I'm starting to understand why my geography teacher didn't like me. Nice work on the interior scene. And what could this eerie feeling mean? Evil Kraken lurking on the edge of perception? -
That deserves a replike just by itself! I'm looking forward to the "Big Bang" then. Let's see how many of the Kabal will survive this desaster.

Wow, I hope you had a great vacation. I envy you for this trip to the southern hemisphere, I can't stand the cold here. Happy drawing / designing / writing / sowing discord between Kerbals -

Chemp replied to Musil's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Hey there Musil! I don't mean to rush you by any means but I just read your post over at Plan Kappa reminding me of your comic. Have you abandoned the project or is it just that you like to roast your readers on low heat?
