Cloud gridding shouldn't occur in the latest update. I'll try another fix, if it doesn't work then it's a problem with EVE...

I actually plan on making AVP's Laythe clouds quite like KSPRC's. Still with the bioluminescence, too . I'm not sure why the Minmus slopes look different, when you install KSPRC alongside AVP you're getting those exact configurations as you were using KSPRC alone. Rain absolutely decimates FPS, I can't even navigate the Space Center cause it's rendering there. The feature is done, I'm just considering the benefits and disadvantages of implementing such a performance-killing feature.

Thread's been dead for a while. I guess there's nothing left to work on, when I get the inspiration to I'll give Laythe original clouds, as well as replace the detailtexture. For now, I need more suggestions from everyone. What more is there that I can improve on in AVP? What more is there that I can add to such a feature-fledged pack? Feedback and constructive criticism is always appreciated.

Just this. Hopefully soon there will be some kind of compatibility with this and GEA or other visual mods.

(I was just about to refer you to the Stock Visual Enhancements page until I realized!) SVE has scatterer configs that take advantage of the "EVE-Scatterer integration" feature of scatterer to modify the terminators, in this case the terminator was modified to be blue-ish. I'm pretty sure that these parameters change the look of dawns and dusks.

[1.7.3] Graphics Enhancements Assembly (GEA)
themaster401 replied to Davian Lin's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The KerbalVisualEnhancements "Old EVE" configs will likely fare better on lower-end computers. -
No! Just the EVE plugin "EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements" is necessary. Great screenshots! Lucky save from the duststorm, Mark Kerman would be much less fortunate being stranded on Minmus

Interstellar and Edge of Oblivion have been combined into a single pack! The download link is in the OP. This combined version features the best of both versions.

Nope. TextureReplacer only manages skyboxes for either mod.

TextureReplacerReplaced is literally a replacement for TextureReplacer, the file structure that comes with the mod is meant for TextureReplacerReplaced. You can still download the usual TextureReplacer 1.3 port and copy the files from the GameData/TextureReplacerReplaced in AVP to the usual GameData/TextureReplacer folder.

Upon opening the audio file in a spectogram viewer and stretching the relevant frequencies: That seems to be a crosshair on the 4th planet out.

Astronomer's Visual Pack: v3.43 "Universality" (a.k.a. the "Please Stop Bothering Me About Certain Features" update.) - Separated non-cloud features from cloud config i.e. auroras, snow, geysers, lightning, etc. have their own configurations now, making it easy to remove unpreferred features - Tweaks and fixes

This is the right thread. Low-res cities around KSC will hopefully be fixed next update. I personally think that aurorae on Duna look quite nice, realism was not exactly considered in the making. If you really want to remove aurorae from Duna, go to the Tracking Station, open up the EVE GUI, navigate to Duna's cloud layers and remove Duna-Aurora. That isn't shine, it's glow. It brightens the faces of both bodies from orbit. Especially with KSPRC textures, both bodies look dead inside otherwise. That's lightning. I get it, it doesn't look like lightning, it'll be fixed one day.

To use a custom sunflare, you must remove AVP's custom sunflare folder "scatterer-sunflare" then manually install your own in the default scatterer folder.

I don't get it. These graphic overhauls are basically copy-pastes of the Graphics Enhancement Assembly, including the configs for the default planets in the Kargantua overhaul (counterintuitive and basically forcing the everyday user to use GEA in conjunction with this mod), plus configs for the said systems that overwrite the default ones. Why not just make them a set of configs for GEA, rather than including the entirety of GEA with it? I don't see why either mods require graphic overhauls. Their stock visuals are already quite nice, what does need overhauling is their technology, INSTANTIATOR, the black hole, terrain, they all seem to be bugged in KSP 1.3.

[1.7.3] Graphics Enhancements Assembly (GEA)
themaster401 replied to Davian Lin's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
The detailaurora taken from Astronomer's Visual Pack will have to be modified (change the texture or up the detailscale) or replaced, as it makes aurorae tiny and incredibly dense at it's scale. Laythe is tidally locked to Jool, perhaps make it's clouds and hurricane align to that. I'm sorry, but every kerbal on Kerbin's surface will suffocate with those huge volumetric clouds of smoke. -
The original altitudes were intended to stay faithful to those in the original AVP configs, and were lowered in subsequent releases, but I will see if I can make a balance between realism and clouds-not-going-over-the-horizon.

I want to thank Galileo for silencing those who challenge the best KSP's visual modding community provides in a way I could never have done. It has likely saved me from stressing over the little nitpicks I couldn't fix without changing the code of EVE or the game. A break is well deserved, whenever you return we will welcome you back with open arms. Moving forward, I will no longer reply to frequently asked questions that are already answered in the corresponding section of the OP. Worrying about such things and, to put it bluntly, sucking my soul out of me with them will only further delay newer features that are worth anticipating. The clouds will hover above the horizon, Eve's clouds will not look the same as the original AVP's, so why not just look forward to things that are legitimately possible for me to implement? Thank you to all who have downloaded Astronomer's Visual Pack Repackaged, and those who continue to provide constructive criticism and appreciation.

[KSP 1.6.1] Stock Visual Enhancements [v1.4.1] [20 March 2019]
themaster401 replied to Galileo's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It's definitely a mashup of AVP and KSPRC. When installing both, you have to make sure to delete "Atmospheres" and "CityLights" from KSPRC. -
AVP does not bundle dependencies, it uses a ModuleManager config for te sunflare. You only have to remove the "scatterer-sunflare" folder from AstronomersVisualPack. Usually to remove content such as a specific cloud node, it can be done safely through the EVE GUI in the Tracking Station, or can be manually done by properly removing the node from the config.

I actually am intrigued by how you got the clouds hazed by the atmosphere in that setup specifically. Anyways, aside from current problems, I've been working on a couple of new possible features, including... drumroll... rain! By using the same technique as snow, rain can appear every that clouds cover. Though, the feature is incredibly intensive, and may just be an optional module for the mod instead. A custom soundtrack won't return until Soundtrack Editor updates to 1.3 and fixes it's sound queues. For now, there will be an update in an hour or so, fixing various cloud falloff powers and a couple of other config tweaks. Thank you for the continued feedback and reports.
