  1. Green glare? Please show an example. I've been working on a nice overhaul for Laythe, it's going to look something like this:
  2. Celebrating 2 years of Other Worlds! The original developer of the mod, Pkmniako, has decided to pick it up again. The new Other_Worlds topic is now in Add-on Development, where the progress of an entire revamping of Other_Worlds can be followed. Download This mod adds a new star to KSP, with 5 exoplanets and 7 exomoons! COMPATIBLE MODS: Custom Asteroids (Adds a Troni Asteroid Belt and Nienna ones) (Included in main download) Old EVE (Separated download) Galactic Neighborhood. Distant Object Enhancements - /!\ If it makes the other planets flares to stop rendering, remove the config in GameData/OtherWorlds/CercaniSystem/-CONFIGS-/DOE.cfg /!\ Outer planets mod, New horizons pack and this type of kopernicus packs are all supported RECOMENDED MODS Interstellar/Alcubierre drive are mandatory to get to Cercani! (If you don't want to do years of travel) Near Future Technologies for navigating though the system. Originally by Niako. Cloud pack update by themaster401. 3. Yeah, that definitely should not occur upon modifying cloud configs. Assuming now that it might be some difference in the Linux version of KSP, the OS itself, or some unknown incompatiblity. I'll look into it further when I get home. In the meantime, it would be a good idea to confirm if the problem is AVP or just EVE itself. Try using the default EVE configs, or another set of visuals.
  4. There aren't really any "recommended" or even "minimum" system requirements, your mileage may vary. I would recommend a 3+ GHz processor, 8+ GB of RAM, and a video card with at least 2 GB of GDDR5. Try the lower-res textures if your performance is annihilated by high-res.
  5. I'm so confused. The EVE error report in the log displays the entry for Duna's aurorae backwards, which is likely the syntax issue. Of course, I've confirmed that the syntax issue is not apparent in the latest update. Since I am away from home right now, try this: Go to <KSP>/GameData/AstronomersVisualPack/EVE/aurora.cfg and replace the second OBJECT{...} with:
  6. Odd, the first fact that comes to mind is that aurora.cfg is the first of the cloud configuration files, which means there may be a syntax error or problem that doesn't allow the rest of the configs to load. In this case, the KSP.log would be quite helpful.
  7. Firstly, thank you for all the data you immediately sent with the reply. It's quite convenient and useful for me I don't exactly understand the issue here. Is it that your other mods are incompatible with AVP? Or does KSPRC break compatibility? I've never tried AVP on Linux myself, let alone KSP, so I'm mostly oblivious to how it performs on the platform. I've looked through all given text links, there's no issue that I'm aware of among them. Perhaps an example of the issue with a screenshot would help?
  8. So, interested in what I could do with a visual pack in a combined RSS and stock environment, I tried loading AVP into an installation using this mod. Interestingly enough, all modified stock bodies retained their clouds (albeit the non-atmospheric bodies lost what little enhancements they had), but even weirder, Kerbin's clouds were appended to Earth! Likely because "Kerbin" in EnvrionmentalVisualEnhancements just refers to whichever body the kerbals are located.
  9. Ah, Gregox, you and your mods that no one asked for Interesting, it's like Galactic Neighbourhood except everything isn't galactic distances apart from each other...
  10. The only thing wrong with the CKAN installation when I tried it was that scatterer wasn't automatically installed, but nonetheless everything worked fine (scatterer could be installed normally through CKAN afterwards and boom, the entirety of the mod is there.) I'm currently waiting on the CKAN archive to pull in the updates I made to AVP's CKAN entry.
  11. Soon? < (I thought that had both eyes wide open making it look not angry woops)
  12. Woops, I thought CKAN scatterer would just give a list of scatterer configs for the user to choose from or even just install the normal scatterer configs. A manual install of scatterer should allow CKAN's AVP to function in the meantime. Will fix up the CKAN entry tomorrow! Edit: Two of my test subjects also had this occur and were using OPM. Incompatibilty?
  13. kerbin2.dds and sands.dds were taken from KSPRC v0.5, which violates the CC BY-ND 4.0 license.
  14. Better Atmospheres is an E.V.E. 7-4 visual pack, using RSS, TextureReplacer, and Custom Asteroids to improve the stock system. Because the developers of the original BetterAtmospheres have not been on the forums for quite some time, I have simply repackaged the latest version for Kerbal Space Program 1.3. The SpaceDock download comes with all dependencies. The RealSolarSystem plugin is included for an effect, the mod does not function on RealSolarSystem. (That's a big download button, if you didn't realize.) And with that, after a very long time, you once again now have Better Atmospheres! Enjoy! Original thread here. For those who are wondering, I do not plan on extending this mod and making it quite feature-fledged like Astronomer's Visual Pack. This is available simply for those who want raw Better Atmospheres functioning on the latest Kerbal Space Program version. Perhaps in the future, I could assemble a visual compilation with various E.V.E. 7-4 mods. For now, enjoy!
  15. Make sure you follow all the instructions on the GitHub download, which involves downloading EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements, AVP-Textures, scatterer, and ModuleManager for basic functionality.
  16. Why are the new and old EVE configs almost completely different? GEA is looking more like a spinoff of AVP in the old download than anything (do we really need any more of those?) It wouldn't be too hard to make old EVE configs parallel to the ones available in the new EVE setting. Really, it looks like there's some sort of visual mod monopoly trying to be established here with the usage of textures from various mods (half the textures in this are shared with the cloud textures in the "Kargantua Mod", textures are identical with the "Graphic Overhaul for Kargantua and Kolyphemus"). In fact, let me just show right now:
  17. Your entire activity on the forums literally has been asking developers to fix and update their mods to 1.3. Us mod developers are not machines, ask in more polite ways ("Hey mod dev, if you're still around could you tell us an estimated time of when you'll get around to updating this?"). How about you also scroll through the last pages of the forum topics, because I answered your question 2 months ago up there. The OP just came back around to the forums last week! Hey there
  18. The skybox was in there from day one in the TextureReplacer or TextureReplacerReplaced folder and is only now external due to a TextureReplacerReplaced update smh look closer
  19. New minor update coming in a bit. Be sure to redownload "AVP-Textures v1.3", there are some new textures in there.
  20. Both my pack and KSPRC demand much more from a system than SVE because of many extra features and textures. Andromeda Visuals is mostly the same as AVP (at one time, exactly the same), though it currently misses out on newer features and benefited visuals as a result of using an E.V.E. 7-4 port. AVP has a version running on this E.V.E. 7-4 port for lower-end systems that runs alongside the main branch.
  21. It dissipates when you get close as to not create a weird extra-dimensional barrier when crossing the layer where the glow occurs OPMClouds is no longer supported due to file structure changes unfortunately. I highly recommend using the compatible OPM-VO for OPM clouds!
  22. They are literally right below the configs in the releases section, and linked to in the config release. Please look closer.
  23. Astronomer's Visual Pack: v3.5 "Luminosity" - New wispy Laythe cloud layer. - Rain particle texture is hiding in there - Lots of tweaks and fixes. Should be available on GitHub soon NOTE THAT THE AVP-TEXTURES HAVE ALSO BEEN UPDATED TO v1.3. BE SURE TO DOWNLOAD AVP-TEXTURES v1.3 OR THE MOD WILL NOT FUNCTION.
